What -- that lady rolling out her stomach instead of the bread dough on Facebook? I don't like looking at pictures and videos that are too disturbing, so I don't. Generally the words aren't as visceral to me, and I can intellectualize them. Wendy P.

Nah, that's not really my thing. Personally, a lot of the rhetoric around here lately has been a bit disheartening.

So that picture of a cat with a mask was valid then? That said, information develops. It's not a "this means that" on a simple basis, any more than a hurricane's path is known ahead of time. We can predict, and we're getting better at it, but they can still surprise us. That doesn't make it a plot of the weather bureau. Wendy P.

Darren's podcast's are stellar.. It is always beneficial to listen to views especially ones you don't agree with.. The most important thing is not what other's conclude but why and how they reached that conclusion. It makes one a better thinker.. Many conclusions are the result of flawed reasoning and logic..

Robert-You were on the podcast. How many have you listened to? Darren is knowledgeable about the case, and he has opinions, but as a host he does a great job of staying neutral. Anyone who posts at the Cooper Forum knows that links are only available to those who log in.

Thanks, Ron. I can see that there was enough 'oddness' in that post that the system rejected it. "Character oddness", not content. There was a regular poster in the DB Cooper thread a while ago who often went 'smiley nuts' and posted a gazillion emojis and maybe 10 words. Her posts actually made more sense that that 'Q' crap. Which, if you read the Cooper insanity a back when it was actually making progress (and know who I mean), then that's saying something. If you wish to believe that the whole virus outbreak is a "Deep State" plot to bring down the Mango Mussolini, go ahead.

Blaming a SC poster for a Pew Research data post. WTAF. Oh, Turtle, that's what the AF. Never mind.

Believe it or not, not everyone in the remotest corners of the world. Gets their news off the internet. National news services in S. America, Africa, Asia, etc. All cover how trump lies. The false promises, the exaggerations, the scams, all part of how they define him and the US. Dishonesty, no that would be the purview of trump and his apologists.

Hi Wendy, A long ago publication called SCREW. Very nasty, too nasty for me. Jerry Baumchen

Well at least the whole world thinks so. So trump's base, about 28% of Americans, and turtle. Disagree with over 5.5 billion other people.

$500B slush fund for Trump to deliver to corporations he likes: Good. 1/500 of that amount for ventilators to save lives: Bad.

Damn. I never thought I'd say this, but: I wish I could see what Ron posted.

Hi Mark, I'm with you. I think National realized this & went with the 'will not service' position. Since a 'service life' is not enforceable, IMO all mfrs should take a similar position. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Walt, A couple of Symposiums back*, they revised that ( as I recall ). It is now that they will not service anything that is 15 yrs old. They changed their position from a 'service life' to a 'will not service.' Jerry Baumchen * A rigger ( ex-military ), located ( as I remember ) in New York state, did a presentation on National's gear

Cosmic: Buyer beware of the age of the National seat pack. Service life is 20 years, Most riggers will not pack beyond.

In the Netherlands, social distancing is not applicable for families. So my wife and I (who both have the necessary Mad Skillz) decided we could jump from, say, a rented 172 if we adopted a pilot. Then we realised that many of the (volunteer) pillots at our club are also commercial airline pilots. We briefly considered the amount of college debt your average pilot incurs during their study and decided we'd wait until the preventative measures are revoked, along with everyone else.

The covid thing is a DNC hoax to get Biden to increase personal distancing. ;-)

I bought a similar set, but in the Calphalon. I screwed it up though. Even though they say it's "Dishwasher Safe;" it's not. After about six months the outside coating started to wear off and once it started there was no stopping it. I like to cook and try new things, but not having much of a sweet tooth never really bothered with cakes and stuff. I like to make a good heart-healthy dinner. We don't use processed or packaged food. In part, I think (IMO) there's too many preservatives along each step in the food chain. We're fortunate in being able to go to the local Farmers Market for fresh everything and about the only thing I'll use from a package is pasta. To your point of measuring - that's one of the reasons I like Kent Rollins. He'll pour dry ingredients in his hand while saying "'bout a teaspoon and a half" that looks right about there. His other saying is, "You can't get full on fancy." Tonight, I'm thinking beef stroganoff before it gets too warm outside and flip to a much lighter fare in the Spring. EDIT: And your bread looks awesome. I'd tear me off a chunk, throw a bit of butter on it and go to town. EDIT2: Doc just told me something last night that cracked me up. "About half of us are going to come out of this coronavirus as drunks and the other half as great cooks, but very few will come out both."

Do you really believe that? I won't deny that there are a few folks on here that I would not feel at all bad if something happened to them. But you aren't one of them. I disagree with you on both 'general principles' and specific issues on a variety of things (not everything). But in general, you are intellectually honest enough that I can at least mostly respect you. You claimed earlier that many on here wanted Trump to fail at handling this crisis. That's also not true, at least for me. I'd like to see him behave in a rational, adult, intelligent manner, using the best scientific information to help guide the nation through this. But, given the fact that he has NEVER acted in those ways, either before or during his time in office, I didn't have much hope. And, unfortunately, I was right. There was something posted recently (last couple of months?) that noted Evangelicals expected to be persecuted by those who disagreed with them. Mainly because they would persecute those who they disagreed with. Sort of "expect others to do unto you as you would do unto them".

It's funny watching all these people here in Japan mostly wearing masks thinking it prevents you from getting sick.

Not even a little. Closing borders because there’s a fucking pandemic is a little different to closing borders because the people coming across it are brown and poor.

No I am talking about the same area of the world. Low water level in the Great Lakes? Climate change! High water level in the Great Lakes? Climate change! Dry summer in the Mid-West? Climate change! Wet summer? Climate Change. No snow in the Rockies? Climate change! Lots of snow in the Rockies? Climate change! It is the "heads I win, tails you loose" school of prediction.

CO2 is not a pollutant, it is a vital trace gas, without it we would all be dead.

They increased the cost of the thing that was contributing to the problem. That is what I am hearing being advocated here. It's not even FOR here in the US - it's to somehow convince someone else to take action. Our output of pollutants is 88th in the world. https://www.numbeo.com/pollution/rankings_by_country.jsp

Seven centimeters of sea level rise by the end of the century? Do you mean to say that 70 years after I am dead, my great grandchildren will go to the same beach house my parents took me to when I was a kid and standing in the exact same spot, their ankles will get wet instead of their toes? That sound absolutely terrifying!!! BTW the most "pessimistic" models predicted 6090mm sea level rise not 50-120. Again, CAGW theory falsified.
