Nobody's jumping right now, right? A suggestion. While stuck on the ground, don't forget about your brothers and sisters who have no work at the moment, and little hope of getting any work in the next few months at least. Might be a great time to send that AAD off for service, have that little cosmetic repair done on your rig/jumpsuit/canopy, go ahead and get that repack done since it's only a month or so out. Your rigger will appreciate the work. Bring a bag of groceries to an instructor or three. Check in on them. Lots of them won't ask for shit - offer it. We are family.

Covid19 I am very happy with how the government both state and federal have been dealing with this. I am delighted by how most people are acting and dealing with this. The general feeling i get is that we are in this together. There is no one to blame and being a dick isn't going to make things any better. i hear some grips but everyone needs to take a breath, the stress will only compromise your immune system. This is a good reminder that we aren't and cant be in control of everything. Some times shit happens and all we can do is our best. i read some of the posts and honestly don't think politics has anything to do with this. Stay safe and help when you can.

Everyone, The reality is that, except for lap dances at your favorite strip club, few businesses press their customers together as we do. This is no time to pretend that we know better or are different. Nor is it a time to believe this will be over in two weeks. We'll still be Skydivers a month or two months from now. Let's all just stay chill, not press the issue or our DZO's and find another muse for a couple of months. That's being smart.

If the Republican Horse Shit machine wasn't busy giving money to companies for stock buy backs that help no one down stream we could already be doing something to make our nation stronger that was also up scalable in this emergency: infrastructure repair. If the tax cut Trillion was instead building roads, bridges and public internet right now it would be simple to throw another bag of money at it to provide jobs or other services for displaced workers. Instead, with nothing helpful in place, let's give two weeks of pin ball money to buy November votes and do a victory lap. Right wing politics are not smart politics.

Not entirely my idea, I've seen variations bouncing around on FB: Do you really want to jump? Do you want to risk getting hurt and needing to go into a hospital when all the ICU beds are full? Not just 'full of covid-19 cases' but 'full to the point that they can't take you in'? It's been a long winter and I was looking forward to getting up. But I don't see it happening any time soon.

I used to like Calphalon stuff but their quality seems to have gone downhill over the last 7-8 years. I'v had pans of theirs warp like a cheap tin one. V. dissapointing. I'm like you. Given the choice between an appetizer or dessert I'd take the appetizer every time. Bread is about the only baking I do. Stroganoff sounds good. I think I'm probably tossing some ribs to smoke on the grill today.

The little people here...you know, the deplorables...the ones hanging on to their guns and religion... really need this money. They do jobs you and I would never consider. They make minimum wage. They have been told not to come to work. Not understanding that gave us Trump.

Dude, it's all about how trivial and impertinent you are when you post. "Then why are we not hearing the right bitch that they are not in the President's chair?? I guess the politicking IS smart - I think you are talking about the results." There is zero content in your post. You just like posting. Great. Go to a forum where seriousness isn't expected or be more serious.

Phil, please, enough with the million word cut and pastes. Any yo, or Huffington Post, can do that. Instead, read it, analyze it and tell us your interpretation in a few words. This crap is boring.

You don't give a 'bat's ass' that the President is a racist asshole? That his base is also a bunch of racist assholes, who love this sort of shit? That he's using this as a distraction to hide how miserably he's managed this situation? That his race-baiting is likely at least partly at fault for the increase in attacks on Asians? Or, is it just 'Fuck them'?

It just amazes me how I can watch the entire speech and then see it get twisted and out of context in the written media for an obvious agenda. What he said was [paraphrase] The states need to be able to go directly to the suppliers for medical equipment instead of through the federal government. We don't need to be a shipping clerk for the states. They need to go directly to the source. [/paraphrase] Damn. No bias in Politico.

We could always to civilian tandems the same way soldiers do tandem bundle jumps: threaten to kiss the student. As they run off the ramp, follow a few metres (yards) behind and let a static-line deploy your drogue. If you worry about light-weight students free-falling above you, just hang a water-barrel off them and drain it under canopy to reduce landing speed. Can I get a patent on that concept? Hah! Hah!

Dear HPC, The Vector 3 was an almost completely new design, with many improvements over its Wonderhog, Vector 1 and Vector 2 predecessors. Over the last 25 years, I have seen a variety of small, cosmetic improvements to Vector 3, Micron, Sigma, etc. generations. What improvements would you like to see in Vector 4?

Here is a pretty good accounting of the efforts being made towards a vaccine. Still no accounting for billvon's lack of input into a solution. He may be involved in a secret program. I hope your brewery tour can continue in these trying times. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/18/when-will-a-coronavirus-vaccine-be-ready

Eric posted his PRE-narrative.. you can see why he had to attack me for posting the fact that the Lake Vancouver flushing channel didn't exist in 1971. He had to create the false notion that TBAR was an island. MY CLARIFICATIONS ARE IN BOLD. I relish the opportunity to debate the Tena Bar island issue further:1) The money was found on Tena Bar. TRUE2) The money was buried upon Tena Bar. TRUE3) It did not arrive by water or via the dredge per too many individual pieces of evidence to mention here. SPECULATION4) Therefore, someone buried the money on Tena Bar. SPECULATION5) That "someone" was likely DB Cooper. SPECULATION + SPECULATION6) The money being buried upon Tena Bar means that it got there somehow. TRUE7) It defies common sense that DBC would drive the money to Tena Bar and bury it. SPECULATION + SPECULATION + SPECULATIONTherefore, the money either arrived by air or foot. FALSE CONCLUSION = COMPOUNDED SPECULATION9) There is nothing that supports the notion that DBC no-pulled at the spot where the money was found. NEGATION = LOGICAL ERROR10) Therefore, the money was walked to Tena Bar, and per point #5, by DB Cooper. CONCLUSION = COMPOUNDED SPECULATION + NEGATION11) DBC either landed on the land mass that Tena Bar is located upon--which is surrounded by water on all asides except for the previously referenced land bridge with a road, therefore, essentially an island. COMPOUNDED SPECULATION + FALSE CHOICE12) Or he landed in an area off the "island." COMPOUNDED SPECULATION + SPECULATIVE CONCLUSION12) If DBC landed off the island then he had to either walk up from Vancouver, thereby crossing over the land bridge--which doesn't make sense. SPECULATION + FALSE CHOICE + NEGATION 13) Or, he had to find a spot to cross the aforementioned 25 miles of water. SPECULATION + FALSE CHOICE14) If he's Jesus he merely walks across the water. ??? USE OF REDICULE TO SHAPE NARRATIVE15) If he's not Jesus he has to either swim across the water or use the only access point to the island called the River "S" Bridge. COMPOUNED SPECULATION + COMPOUNDED SPECULATIVE CONCLUSIONSThis is all very important to understand. After all, whether you believe in the Western Flight Path, or the FBI Flight Path, or an Ariel Jump Zone, or a Lake Merwin splash down, what you are required to accept is the fact that the money was found buried upon Tena Bar. TRUE, MONEY WAS FOUND BURIED IN TOP LAYER AT TBARLadies and Gentlemen, the State rests. THERE IS NO VALID CONCLUSION BEYOND THE FACTS WE ALREADY KNOW. THERE IS NO ARGUMENT, JUST COMPOUNDED SPECULATION AND CONJECTURE TO INFER A NARRATIVE. MY GUESS IS HE WILL USE THIS FALSE NARRATIVE TO SUPPORT A MORE GRAND FALSE NARRATIVE... TBC BTW, Speculation itself is necessary to advance theories, the problem is the quality, Eric is long speculation and short quality.. compounding a mountain of speculation on a few facts to build a pre-determined narrative is goal seeking.

It sounds like someone decided there were enough differences to make the patent non applicable. The patent holder disagrees. Either they negotiate, litigate, or drop it because it will cost to much to pursue. This kind of dispute is common enough, and inventors feeling screwed over is as well. Sometimes for big commercial things. I think Nicola Tesla had some of his patents infringed upon.
  34. 1 point
Well that sounds like the old pilotchute assist from the 1960s on static lines so that would be prior art and void the patent!
