3 pointsBullshit. If Biden actually committed the assaut, and it's not clear he did, then he would be an accused rapist. So is Trump. So that part's a wash. However, I have yet to hear anything like: Credible accusations of being involved with the East coast mafia for construction projects. Credible accusations of laundering money for the Russian mob. Using his "Charitable Foundation" to pay a porn star to keep quiet. Getting barred by a court of law from operating his "Charitable Foundation" after using it as a personal piggy bank. (wasn't there some criticsm about the Clinton Foundation?) Being married 3 times and cheating on all three wives (wasn't there some criticism about HRC staying with Bill despite his cheating?) Creating a fake "University" to con people out of money. Bribing two states' attorneys general to make fraud charges about the "University" go away. Bribing a Manhattan DA to make felony real estate fraud charges against two of his kids go away. Callng a brutal despot a 'great guy' and gushing about how much he loved him. Plus giving said tyrant a personal visit, thus greatly enhancing his stature. Arbirtrarily ending an international agreement, despite the protests of ALL the other countries involved. Then committing an act of war against the main country in that agreement. Calling Nazis & KKK "very fine people". I could go on and on and on and on. But to pretend accepting Biden's accusation of sexual assault when most folks find it abhorrent is 'hypocrisy' is to ignore the fact that even if Biden did rape that woman (and a bunch of others), he's way, way, waaaaaaaaaay ahead of the Mango Mussolini in the 'behavior' department.

2 pointsChrist do people ever get tired of obsessing over every single thing Trump does? You think you'd be over it after 4 years, no? Is it ever mentally taxing? Have you experienced significant decline in day to day happiness? Not a single mental health professional in the world would tell you that it's healthy to obsess over something that you have zero effect over. Someone can post a single sentence with the word "Trump" in it, and without a doubt, someone will jump in with multiple paragraph replies pointing out the inaccuracies in their rhetoric and style in which they present it....and then it rolls into this endless cycle of bickering that clearly serves no purpose other than to get riled up, you're obviously not going to change anyone's mind...... I just imagine it to be exhausting. I thought this website would have clearer heads and more restraint on their call to their keyboard arms than my facebook feed, but that looks to be mistaken. I understand level-headed political debate, but c'mon people the style or arguing that I'm seeing in this thread reads like something off of a Twitter thread.

2 pointsIt is that attitude that will get the US in trouble. The constant burning of bridges the last 3 years. You are racing to a point where you are going to need help, but it won't be on the table any more. One example: when 9/11 happened Canada helped. The story of Gander, Nfld being among the most famous. Then during COVID-19 when Canada needed help, the US ordered 3M not to deliver any PPE to Canada. It showed the true nature of the US and it isn't pretty.

1 pointHi hog, To each his own. I do not agree. The PBS News Hour is one that I have a lot of trust in. Some others, but with less trust. Jerry Baumchen

1 pointMy one sentence replies? That just goes to prove that you haven't even read this thread, let alone anything else on the site. Hmm, what does that level of honesty remind me of... yep, Turtlespeed sockpuppet.

1 pointOh for fuck's sake, it's a Turtlespeed sockpuppet.

1 pointWhite House is ending the Corona virus Task Force Let's just ignore it, wait for the heat, the miracle, it will just go away.

1 pointThat is what a lot of the Bernie-ists are doing. Personally, I will do like I did last election and vote my conscience.

1 pointAnd there are people posting that the earth is flat and vaccines cause autism. I'm really trying not to go to social media just to piss myself off or prove how stupid other people are . That means I'm not going to FB much... Wendy P.

1 pointYou’re just a Trump hater! It’s fake news all of it!

1 pointnpole, I purchased a VOG which speaks the current altitude to you. The only thing I don't like is the price and poor packaging it came in. For AFF-I purposes, I just wanted the altitude announced so I could focus on my instructor duties. It does that. Personally I don't care about all the other features offered by most audible manufacturers.

1 pointYet some people here will refer to these criminal facts as hate for Trump. I'm continually stunned at how much the republican party has and will continue to allow him his efforts to destroy this country. Mitch Mcconnell even does it with a child molester smirk. America was amazing while it lasted.

1 pointYou're not this dumb. EDIT: I just saw your earlier edit, missed it before. I retract my generous assertion.

1 pointI don't think I can help but can only comment a little for anyone else wondering about this: That document is a lot to digest, especially when it isn't like there's a 60 day comment period but they want nearly instant replies. And it isn't clear when all that was published. Maybe there's a date there some place in the 200 page document. (Even if big parts of that are sections quoted from regulations.) It is hard to comment on any one part of all that without understanding the rest. It was confusing that in the initial graphics they showed the RSA and OFA, and then had a table showing that even the Class III experienced jumper landing area was 44.8% within it --- yet the graphics showed that the Class III area was completely outside it. And on the map of where LZ's and RSA/OFA intersect, marked it 100% in a bright red that doesn't correspond with the rest of the graphics. However, far later in the document there a map which also adds a taxiway TOFA safety area -- and that is what they are referring to. So the initial annotated maps were rather deceiving. Late in the doc there's a response from Start Skydiving's DZO. I see the focus is on the idea that the FAA never intended the RSA/OFA/TOFA to apply to skydivers landing or crossing runways, and that the DZ is compliant with FAA regulations.

1 pointI always tend to separate narcissistic, predatory psychologies. From those who may have psychological defects arising from childhood abuse, fetal alcohol syndrome, drugs, etc. Anyone who tends to prey upon the weak, the foolish or the elderly. Tends to set my fuse to short and response.

1 pointAnd, there you have it. The sanctimonious hypocrisy of the left in one sentence.

1 pointThis was my first AFF jump, 2002!(Randy on the left) We had a few jumps during my training and he did my AFF solo clearance dive. That was a good one! His enthusiasm for the sport was contagious! Fly free Randy!

1 pointI think you'll mostly find two types of persons: one wanting all of the flashy features and infinite customization, and one wanting a device that's predictable, simple and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. I happen to belong in the second category. If it's usb rechargable I instanly think of "another thing to keep track of", "how fast's battery life gonna degrade, after how many recharge cycles", etc. Bluetooth? - "Way too complex system now for it to be bug-free". With such a mindset, I use protrack, so I can tell you the nitpick stuff I have with it. I bought it to use it as a logbook, but it sometimes (often) fails to register hop n pop jumps - really not sure how that's possible but they somehow manage to fail at that. And because it's not working all the time, I just gave up and don't even look at the data anymore. Speed profile is nice to have, but because it's not trivial to correlate it with the video, I end up not using it ever at all, even though I made an effort to make my own graphing app to customize it to my needs (don't really like Paralog). It should be trivial and fast to read the jump data, not sure why you have to perform access sequence to read the data. Even if you enter the plane and start climbing it could just force quit that screen (lock itself). That's mostly it, bottom line is, all this stuff is nitpicky, but priority 0 is of course that it beeps for the breakoff, for the deployment altitude and on the hard deck if you're in high speed.
