4 pointsWell, it's abundantly clear that fairly large segments of the population are intent on denying those (and other) rights to people they don't like. They seem to think that 'freedom of religion' means freedom to force their religion down everyone else's throats. Seen of FB: I can't do that because of my religious beliefs. Cool. YOU can't do that because of my religious beliefs. Fuck off.

3 pointsJust imagine the engineering advances Tesla could have made with $44B in R&D, instead of flushing it down Twitter.

2 pointsHi Stumpy, I was just thinking about this last nite. If I were a Kiwi and wanted to come to the USA for some fun & sun, I think I might just want to revisit that idea. Maybe, if it starts to kill tourism here, someone might just change their mind(s). It is the $$$$$$$$, you know. Jerry Baumchen PS) When I was a kid ( late 40's - early 50's ) we used to run through the neighbor's back yards day & nite. No one ever got shot.

2 pointsI really think it's too much to broad brush an entire people as anything. I think that's especially true when calling any group cowards. For example, I am certain my old man would have thought most blacks were cowards until he watched the Red Tails form off his bomber and go through the flack instead of skedaddling like all of the white fighter pilots did.

2 pointsIn a brief phone interview with CNN, Lindell said “this will end up in court” Lol, yeah. Bankruptcy court.

2 pointsIf the Bundy clan were black folks, they would have been hauled away after their standoff. But they were heroes somehow. Crazy times we live in.

1 pointYeah, and once we hit 13 we realized what those other plants were, and started raiding those instead

1 pointNo it does not. As a listener of NPR I would say that it is very in tune to and focused on America and American politics. It is extremely Washington centric. This means that it does a great job of serving the American people, which is its mandate. The state based local stations are equally focussed on covering their customer base. It is not beholden to either of the dominant parties, but in covering the craziness of politics these days the picture being painted makes one of them look bad. It can't be helped. Even when using even brush strokes the right side of the image usually appears dark and foreboding.

1 pointIt does not, in any way whatsoever, meet the definition that Twitter has of state affiliated. So again, NPR were completely right about this and you were completely wrong, weren’t you?

1 pointRecruiter: "Oh that $627 a week? That's only for our special "front line shield troops" who are the bravest of the brave. If you want to work as a, say, tank driver that's only $400 a week, and if you want to work as a radar operator that's $200 a week. "So I'd advise you to go for the special shield troops. We have a lot of openings there for some reason. Oh, and a weapon is extra, or we can just deduct $300 a week from your pay until you pay us back for it. Or you can bring your own!"

1 pointBack during World War 2, WALLIED leaders like Churchill and Roosevelt (sp?) decided that it was less expensive to supply weapons to the USSR - and have millions of Soviet soldiers die on the Eastern Front - than to have American and British Commonwealth soldiers die on the Western Front. Germany had about 200 divisions on their Eastern Front, but only 26 divisions on their Western (French Front. During onen mid-war conference, Churchill commented to Stalin about the high casualties among Russian soldiers and Stalin poo-pooed his comment with "It was much worse during the 1930s purges." Bottom line, Russia has always been willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of soldiers to achieve political objectives. Sad.

1 pointMy Pillow CEO Mike Lindell ordered to follow through with $5 million payment to expert who debunked his false election data Bwahahaha!!! How the hell this fool was able to found a company, still baffles me.

1 pointbarely. I saw NSF has video of one of their remotes with a car parked by the camera. A big chunk of concrete smashes into the car, maybe totaling it depending on if there is frame damage. As Phil said, those seconds on the pad with the engines running was not good for it. Maybe knocked out a few engines or caused some other damage to the rocket itself...

1 pointThey did quite well. It was a gamble. You have to know when to walk away from the table as a winner. They played the cards they had in their hand very well. They could have forced another draw, but instead they successfully got the other side to fold. With 3/4 of a billion sitting on the table. Which is really 1.5 Billion when you consider that money could have gone either direction. FOX leaves the game with their tail between their legs and looking pretty stupid.

1 pointYes, I can only assume that they settled mostly to avoid having to testify.

1 pointIn a recent video, Youtuber Justin "Beau of the Fifth Column" King, had a couple concise comments about the MAGA GOP, (addressing the GOP base): 1) They don't want to represent the people, they want to rule the people. 2) Look at all the current legislation they are proposing; How much of it is designed actually help you? And how much of it is designed to hurt some other group?
-
1 pointWell, that can't be right. There's no need to write your like-minded congress critters.

1 pointThe original vector 3 patterns before the micron m series tended to be longer. I also second the Infinity rigs. I hate to say it but... Racer also has some longer designs. You can also fudge this in the harness construction to some degree. If you minimize or remove the stagger at the hip and make the MLW long enough you shift the container lower on your back. That also meant that your shifting the curve of the shoulder down lower on the yoke. Some riser covers can handle this better then others. Some designs will become less secure over the shoulder and you may be choosing a longer yoke to place the chest strap where you want. To be clear in not advocating this as a solution I'm more warning of the risk of trying to fudge it this way. Your on the right track of thinking about a container pattern set that will fit your back rather then a harness. Some companies will extend the main tray that might give you that extra inch and more room for that 170. Lee

1 pointJack and his wife plan a safari to Africa. Because his wife's mother had never been to Africa, they decide, despite Jack's misgivings, to include her on the trip. The trip goes quite well and all three are having a good time, enjoying all the sights and all the wild animals. One morning, Jack and his wife wake up to find her mother not there. Concerned, they go out and start looking for her. Walking along the trail, they come to a clearing only to find the mother-in-law face to face with a very large lion. Jack's wife is very afraid and tells Jack: "Do something!!!!" Jack looks the situation over carefully and thinks for a few seconds. "Nope" he says, "That lion got himself into that predicament, he can get himself out"

1 pointRussia will use nukes before that happens. Yes, that guarantees that it'll go out in some kind of blaze, but I don't think Putin cares that much if his memory can't be as a successful conqueror. Wendy P.

1 pointNot in a gang or any organization. When I went to highschool here in California we had a gunsmithing class. There where guns on the bus on any given day. Guns were never the problem. its the people that use them that can be the problem some times. But your entitled to your opinion.
