How many Active Duty Military or DoD Civilian instructors are out there?
rlucus replied to katiebear21's topic in Instructors
Hey Katie :) You know I'm active duty AF and your ex-father-in-law gave me my coach rating and finishing up my SL/I this summer. Starting jumping while stationed at Hill AFB, UT and currently at Gunter Annex, AL -
Gah... I come to DZ.com to take a break from studying Poynter. And here you are quoting it.
-
Paypal is more than just a money transfer... it is an escrow service.

Send me a case of Black Butte Porter... please... Man I miss that stuff.

Join the Air Force. That's the best advice I was given. And don't be a cop or a crew chief.

Two 182 dzs. Ralph's place and Central Oregon Skysports. Although I wouldn't be surprised if both closed soon. Their owners are both older and I think wanting to get out of the dz business (at least that's the unofficial vibe). Both are still alive and well. That's good. I'd hate for them to close before I get a chance to visit them. Any word if Eugene Skydivers is allowing fun jumpers again (they told me no in March). My parents live about 10 minutes from there. I don't think so. At least that's the rumor mill. Give them a call. I have heard some encouraging news on the airport access though. Hopefully they will be back on sooner rather than later. I have heard about the progress on getting the LZ at the airport back. I live 3000 miles away... but when I do visit I do call them. Both times I've been by Skydive Oregon the weather hasn't cooperated (go figure Oregon in the early spring ) [/threadjack]

Can't argue with a mod... it was just my interpretation of the description that SC was more than just "guns or politics" Here in Montgomery, AL there is not a single bike lane. Anywhere.
-
Did you actually try walking somewhere? The naive Swiss that I am, the first day at work I tried to get some lunch by walking. I had to return and get my car. No sidewalks, no way for pedestrians to cross the street etc. There are places in the US that bike and pedestrian friendly... it just is not the norm. (I miss Oregon)

This is the place to discuss politics, guns, religion and any other topic you feel the need to address from your soap box. sounds like a soap box conversation to me... but to add to the discussion... I work out at least 4 times a week and pass my PT tests. I'm 5'11" and haven't not been "over weight" since I was 18. At my height 180 lbs is over weight.

I do believe this is better suited for SC....

+ 1 on the "age is only a number" thing. I used to be a numbers person but now I'm not. I use the "butterfly factor" instead. Ok, I'll bite.... What is the "butterfly factor"? That feeling in the pit of my stomach when I'm totally attracted to someone... it defies age. That's all.

Mine were plastic... and we went to school lunches after the 4th grade.

We always make fun of him for the scooter (since we ride motorcycles) that his is a toy :) so we gift wrapped it for him. Also have done the "wrap a car in plastic wrap" One of my favorites was spending 4 hours with 3 other guys covering a desk from top to bottom in Post-it notes. every square inch, even underneath. And individually wrapping every thing on the desk in bubble wrap and making sure everything went back in the exact same place since she was a bit OCD about it. Man if I was at home I could attach pictures

My boss rides a scooter... so I had a buddy help me put it in a box that we wrapped up in birthday paper and a bow.

I added another couple questions to the last post also... I'm assuming this is the update you used: GeForce/ION Driver Release 186 Release Date: 18 June Version: 196.18 And this config software: NVIDIA System Tools with ESA Support Release date: 10 June Version: 6.05 *You might also want to cross post to this forum... http://forums.nvidia.com/ *Also after I RTFM it seems like System Tools is not the display configuration software....
-
I haven't run anything but ATI in a while but I'm assuming you're using NVIDIA's software for changing the configuration? I'm doing background research now... (good thing the government pays me to just surf the internet ) *I don't expect to be able to solve this problem since I don't know much about NVIDIA, but hopefully more information will help the next guy coming along. ATI uses a software called Catalyst to configure their cards... you can help me out by telling me the name of the software you're using. Also I'm assuming you're running them SLI?

You know what information would really help... The version

What video cards? And which version of windows... Also what did you update? VC drivers or windows...
