I agree BASE should be allowed in state and national parks (when I started skydiving it was in Utah where there are lots of legal places to go) As I have plans to get into BASE. But my nitpicking point was that there is no federal or state laws (that I know of) stopping you from BASE jumping off an object that you own or have the owners permission to jump. The statutes and regulations in place only list out specific places that you do not have permission to jump. Like I said I support allowing BASE Jumping on gov land just like any other outdoor activity. If your allowed to hike it or climb it you should be able to jump off it. I'm just pointing out that many people BASE is actually illegal. Back on topic... I fully support the decriminalization of marijuana. (No I don't smoke it) But I believe it will fix way more problems than it would cause.

You don't have to pay a fee for the A if you don't want a number... you can jump with just a stamp on the yellow card. Then send it in when your ready for your B and only have to pay license fee.

I can not recall her name but I met her at The Farm during the Good Vibes Boogie this year. I'm thinking her name started with a J... it's also possible I misunderstood her. The basis of the conversation was that she explained after giving out demos of the Crossfire and Saphire, they would get complaints from people that had bought used canopies and then were not happy with the flight characteristics. Turns out they were from the different manufacturer. She than went on to explain (or so I understood) what I posted earlier.

Just to play Devils Advocate with you for a minute... I don't know of any laws that make BASE Jumping illegal, but trespassing is. ( I know the National Park law about delivering goods by air thing doesn't really fit either category and should be re-written.)

If you click 'Next' while installing things without actually reading what it says then you are apt to get things you don't want. It is an unfortunate thing but advertisers pay good money to have the defaults set too install 'extra' software. All you have to do is pay attention before clicking that little button.

Why would his choice in his personal art make you think he isn't capable of providing a good service? Most of which he wouldn't have done himself anyways. I'd say he probably has a fair amount of practice and good teaching. Whoever did the work on that guys face is good with shading and most likely was a mentor for this man. You do have the final say on anything going on your body.

I was skydiving into our DZO's house for his birthday party with about 50-75 people there. I missed the landing area and maneuvered up the driveway till about 10 feet up when my end cell clipped a tree branch and I bounced my head off a rock. When I opened my eyes, the cute officer that was in town visiting and I had convinced to come out to the party was standing over me along with 2 of my students and all the old timers. 4 stitches over my right eye.

AF has those requirements also... but since he is only going for E-5 than that is not an issue. And a SNCO cannot stop your promotion... but he can convince your Commander to do so. Then it comes down to fighting that decision with the help of a military lawyer.

Back in 07 at JFK I spent 4 hours sitting in the plane. Others were there for up to 7 hours after their flight landed. I was refunded my ticket plus a voucher to Jet Blue for the same amount. (unfortunately I was unable to use it before the 1 year expiration)
