  1. You're stowing your brakes through your connector link? Or am I missing something here?
  2. Names and numbers are published in the magazine... what the heck is wrong with finding out a little sooner...
  3. My friends sent me one while I was in Iraq. I carried it around in my cargo pocket and I got decently fast at it. ~45 seconds. The very same one sits on my desk now.
  4. Give your instructors a break and just enjoy the party. They will appreciate the chance to get in more fun jumps...
  5. Well my work day is 9 hours... and if I don't go out in the afternoon, I'll be watching movies and playing xBox with the keyboard in my lap. But from Friday afternoon till Sunday evening, I am completely unplugged.
  6. Yeah, wheres the option for "If she asks for it" If they are clean and she likes it, then sure. As for receiving... my feet spend too much time in combat boots and I'd much rather just get a foot massage. If she wants to do it, it wouldn't creep me out and it does feel kinda good. But I can think of a better things for her to put in her mouth
  7. Wishing a double mal on someone is in itself bad karma... just hope they die in a car wreck or something, that's fine
  8. On the shore of one of Saddam's man-made lakes, in between the "Victory over America" palace and the "Flinstone House". We were caught by the MPs though... I can list off a bunch of places in Iraq.
  9. My brother will be there... I will 3000 miles away wishing I was there.
  10. ...high flares have a much higher possibility of serious injury. Depending the height of the stall you can easily hit the ground with more speed than if you hadn't flared at all. (at best with no forward motion, which helps with a PLF. Also with possibility of falling backwards with a high chance of wrist and arm injury)
  11. I repeated none... ( my training was 2 tandems followed by 5 affs) But I also had over 2 hours of tunnel time and had been studying the SIM for months before my first tandem. Pulled fine on the tandems and had to be reminded once on level 3... other than that the only things that weren't god were landings... I did a tandem landing on level 3 with almost no flare. Perfect downwind PLF on level 4. 5 and 6 were decent slides and finally stood up on my graduation dive.
  12. Don't forget your military discounts... off the top of my head Wings and Mirage both offer very good discounts.
  13. If it is writen "CR123A" in the manual from the producer, then use only CR123A. Or call Argus and ask them if it is OK... can't ask a better source.
  14. $340 on brakes? you got hosed... you shoulda came out here to jump next weekend and I coulda fixed em for you.
  15. It is the same problem I have every Monday... There is an extreme lack of distance between me and the ground. And this always takes about week to fix.
  16. My member number 221605 from March 2008 I only have a C number I don't know my DZO'z member number but his license is Buddy Blue - D# 597 And according to him the only reason it was that high is because it had to travel further in the mail than other people's paperwork did being on the west coast at the time. Edit to add: And I did 2 jumps with him yesterday.
  17. I am wondering what you're asking help for since you seem to have everything about that canopy down
  18. No kidding. I'm not hot weather person (give me the pacific northwest anyday) but I've done 128 dry and that is WAY better than 90s wet. Just the other day the actual temp here in AL was only 84 but the humidity made the heat index 111 and its was unbearable.
  19. Some people around here would say he's not of any use to anyone anyways. I don't know why I'm feeling mean today, (anyways, he knows I've backed him up before)
  20. Fixed it for you :) Oh and your two year registration is $20 more than Oregon's and they have a 4 year option for $108 (yes, for four yrs ) The shuttle... yeah that's cool. As for the beach... to each their own. I prefer secluded sandy coves surrounded with rocky cliffs and dark green foliage.
  21. I've only ever flown in Utah, and only a couple hours. I did get the chance to fly in it before and after they re-tuned it, if you were flying too close to the wall for a few seconds you could feel the air choke... that was fixed a long time ago though.
  22. *WARNING: Commenter has no idea what he is talking about.* I was under the impression that since it was one of the older tunnels, it wasn't capable of producing the wind speeds required for advanced head down...
