  1. used gear is for NEWBS !!!!
  2. There is a gap under the pin, as wide as the pin, that continually gets smaller till you get to the junction in the finger trap. it is possible to pass thread under the pin without a needle.
  3. Theres nothin wrong with dynamic corners. The problem is with the way sunpath made them in the jav. There are large "holes" on the bottom of the container, meaning the D bag and lines are exposed when the main flaps are closed. You have to stack the bag on the lines (with the grommet and bridle 90 deg to the reserve) to stop them from being exposed. Theres a thread on here about it if ya dig for it, with pictures. I showed it to Sandy Reid who said theres only one way to fix that. when I inquired to what that was he looked at me and said "buy one of my containers"
  4. nope ya shure don't want the dynamic corners, cuz they don't lie when they say "open" Love my jav but thats one thing I wish I had never got,
  5. I heard Pete helped push beached whales back into the ocean and saved two grey and white fuzzy wuzzy kittens from a house fire! not only a nice guy, he's an animal lover too!
  6. weird, I wonder how the main ended up with the FB? oh well, glad you made it there were more than enough spins in that to loose ones lunch speaking of weird, three blocks down showed nakEDs cut away. I never knew it was posted, but I did watch it from the deck of ESC. Nothing like being geared up for your first jump of the year and watching Ed cut, dirty low
  7. Contact Jody Bevan [email protected] he used to jump at Edmonton (i'm not sure if he developed that program) and has designed a new system through Jonoke (Jonoke designs medical software) that he employed at BigSky. All computers at Bigsky are Mac and the program has been tried tested and trued over the last 3 years. the program ranges from 182 to otter dz's. Pacific/Albera skydivers dzo has already seen the demo of the product. So its being offered to the public. Simple and easy to use with options that cater to smaller dz's or large ones . This program is gonna kick the pants off the competition
  8. You bought a tree? what are you doin throwin puppies?
  9. crunch crunch crunch crunch ................... slurp............crunch crunch crunch crunch............ slurp, slurp..............buuuurrrp! OMG ! we got Rob, Ian, Jim and AL all in the same thread !!!! True icons of Western Canadian skydiving! fuck the popcorn and soda, I'm switchin to Wiskey! We now return you to your thread still in progress. There will be no more interuptions
  10. Ok, name 10 dropzones where they have told you they only use 280s for first jump students. If it is really true that you can "ask anywhere" and get this answer you should have no trouble with this task. 310s for the big guys and 288s for the rest, 210 for the 100 lb chicks
  11. Was that corner of the door reinforced at all? If we raise the strainer by moving the threads up into the wing I would be concerned with water not draining out of the tank properly. Actually our drains sit closer to the fuselage so the hole is not actually in the metal but in the plexi of the window (marked in green) It has a flush mount drain but due to the location still needs a hole. Also note the bumpers (marked in red). You might be able to use bigger ones , though the opening height of the door will suffer a small bit great jump ship mr Smith!
  12. our 182 has a hole so it may sink in. that being said I wonder if you can run the threaded part further into the wing then tighten the locking nut (so it sits flush with the nut)
  13. QuoteI am fairly new to the sport and just bought my first Mirage rig. I want to be able to easily switch between a 170 canopy and a 190 depending on wind, weather, and location. I think all I need is a 2nd set of risers, and of course the 2nd canopy. Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what a 2nd set of risers for a Mirage or Javelin runs? Thanks.[/reply your gonna need a bag, bridle and pc too, unless you intend to change those every swap. Better get some toggles too.
  14. Hey we won the war... we should have kept the whole damn country... WTF good is a Manifset Destiny policy if you don't follow thru on it. It would have solved SOOOOO many problems. We should have taken Canada too.... probably woiuld have if we did not rely on that Benedict Arnold guy He saw that all the french were going to be living there and I understand his decision. Listen guys we kicked your ass fair and square theres no use rubbing salt on the wound, making excuses only makes you look petty. Tell you what, next time we'll let you kick our asses and then we'll hug it out EH?
  15. Nope they're not made for higher speed skydiving. Funny though, they dont mention it in the advertising. They only tell you after you bought it and complain to them. They also know they have a problem with the hinges. Specifically once the visor rips open the hinges are hooped. They will probably give you some song and dance (when you ask for replacement hinges) that it doesn't seal properly around your chin, or you didn't close it properly. Be sure to tell those Idiots your not happy with the product. Sooner or later they will have to either quit selling the product or put a damn lock on it. They know it's shit and you have every right to be pissed There rant over. now where's my fuckin blankie?
