How can I soar with eagles when these are my 4-way team-mates?

I bought a used 170 in 1992 and I believe it was a couple of years old then. (I know it had been stuck in a tree for about 6 months at some point before I got it.) The copyright date in the owner's manual is 1991.
  5. Open a beer into a computer microphone with software that will decode the sound phonetically. That would have to be the correct spelling because it would be dunn bye A cmoputar, their4 no airroars. "Sorry, miss. I was giving myself an oil-job." Robby-the-Robot.
  6. Condolences to you and your family....
  7. I had to laugh at that. It happened to me during my first year. I landed straight down into the ditch at ZHills and the wind blew my PC into a large bush. I damaged it while trying to get it down. When I took it in to the loft to get repairs the rigger pointed out all the more experienced jumpers inside watching TV. Only the low timers were jumping. Lesson learned
  8. If it hadn't been for England, Spain and France contaminating North America with their settlers, America never would have grown up to surpass those nations and get to the moon first. Well, we did have to import some Germans after WW2 to make it happen.
  9. None of the above!.....(I'll never give up on the young hotties)
  10. Yes, but you could spend your way into feeling better about it (think new wingsuit and color-coordinated gear) and you would become an instant celebrity for a little while while being disdained by many who secretly wish it happened to them. (remember the mickey-d's hot coffee incident?)
  11. I wonder why she just didn't buy herself her own personal biscuit machine?!?
  12. Did you write it! I'll have to look when I go home. I know it wasn't Cosmo. Had to be another one. I know the lexicon has evolved without me but when I was your age a "girly magazine" was something completely different. This thread is not what I was expecting.
  13. Story link: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/10357752/3-Vols-frosh-charged-in-attempted-armed-robbery Can you believe it??? They were in a Toyota Prius!!! Heard this on radio morning show this AM and had to laugh.
  14. If you're not watching the Gators/SC game you're missing a REALLY good game.
  15. CONGRATS! I started at 41. Got my POPS# before my A license.
  16. You should check the websites of the various DZs you want to visit. I'm sure they publish a list of their on-site vendors on their sites. Many DZs are not "full-service" facilities and in these cases you could call ahead to the local Chambers of Commerce for guidance and recommendations.
  17. +1 I can't stand jumpers that believe skydiving makes them a superior human being. Take a step down off your high horse. "WE" can fly........."THEY" can't!
  18. LOL - I did exactly the same thing and got exactly the same score. (I did feel a bit dumber for giving them my email address, though. Oh, well....I've been running low on spam anyway) (deleted attachment that didn't work.)
  19. Well, it's FSU so you can rule out graduation
  20. Oh, yeah! No doubt Bama likely would have won either way. I'm just saying that the Tigers just looked like a different team after that call. It killed any momentum they might have had. I'm sure they thought the game was within their grasp until then. Both Florida and Alabama did look much better in the 2nd half. There certainly are no free rides for either of them the rest of the season. Florida is going to have to play at the top of their game for the whole game from here on out with the exception, maybe, of FIU if they want to stay at the top of the polls. They certainly better be prepared for FSU and as you said earlier, SC. Florida State has scored 19 or more points in every game but one (USF) so they are still dangerous...even with a losing record 5-4.
  21. I completely agree with Gene Bleymaier's position. Allowing a strong, consistently winning team like his to play a major, 1st or 2nd ranked collegiate team would give credibility to a team's claim to a national championship title (and to the BCS if they allowed such a game to be played.) A win by Boise would also change the thinking in how to "set up" a true national championship, whether through a series of playoffs or another system. I think enough people are clamouring for some kind of resolution that it might happen in the future. BCS is only a small step in coming to a solution. The problem remains that there are so many college ball teams that there will always be some political interventions in who plays whom and when. Also, if it does come down to some kind of "collegiate superbowl" based on actual playoffs, it would put an end to barroom posturing and arguments that may best be left unresolved. As it is, schools like Boise State, et al. will always feel like they got shafted and can claim greatness without playing against "A-list" teams. Meanwhile the "big boys" like Florida, Alabama, Texas, OSU, etc can claim their titles without having to be embarrassed by a potential loss against Boise State and others like them. Makes for good drunken bar fights.
  22. I can't claim to be a Sun Devil although I do have some ties to ASU football. I took a couple of classes there as well as at Mesa CC and Scottsdale CC. I had a roommate in Tempe who was a special teams coach for ASU and he also played for the Phoenix Blazers semi-pro team. I hung out with many of the Blazers players and through them I met some of the ASU players including DW. Coincidentally I spent some time in Glendale visiting a girl who was a cheerleader for the Blazers. My main hang-outs were Minder Binders in Scottsdale and Freddies near ASU. Yep. Neither Florida nor Alabama looked convincingly dominating yesterday. Didn't see the Texas game. Vandy put some high-risk razzle-dazzle type offensive moves on them and I think Florida wasn't prepared for that. It seemed to be working for a time. I think LSU got the shaft with that interception call and I think that took the wind out of them for the rest of the game. They gave Bama a good game. The top 3 teams are getting a lot of pressure and I just get the feeling that one of them is going to break big-time before it's all over.
  23. That was probably true for some bikes in the 60's and 70's. I think newer engines don't have that problem. Yeah, but old traditions die hard and the throttle blipping is done .....well, just because it's always been done! You ever hear crickets or frogs at night? Same thing.
