  1. Going from memory here from an article long ago in "Cycle" magazine, when they road-tested the latest HD Sportser: I always thought the throttle-blipping at a stoplight was to keep the plugs from loading up while "idling". It's particularly embarrassing to try to kick-start an engine with fouled plugs while a bunch of yuppies in bmw's and kias are behind you honking when the light changes.
  2. "Beer Rules" beer.........doesn't matter what kind....no, really, it doesn't. Not JUST because it's free, either. It has more to do with the "right of passage" of the buyer and the comaraderie that goes with it.
  3. I hope they take the next 4 games seriously and use them to prepare for Bama. (....and run up Tebow's stats

  6. Mine understands that the Snickers and Whoppers are mine. But, sadly, this may be the last year for the "free" candy. He decided he was too old to go beggin' this year....until it came down to the wire and he decided to walk with his cousins.
  7. So...... do the bus and the car get tickets for running the red light or just the bus?

  9. OK.....so let's say your skydiving jumpship has an in-flight emergency. You exit at a very low altitude and you deploy your reserve to save yourself. Do you get to log that one in Holland? I would think that by your "Dutch rule" above that the act of ejecting from the aircraft establishes his intent. By leaving the a/c he does intend to make a "descent from an in-flight airplane or airship......" and he "intends to use a parachute". He may not have intended to to make that jump when he got in the plane but, what the heck, s**t happens. That's why you have a reserve in the first place.
  10. In the Netherlands, definition two does not apply; it's only a skydive if it's er, pre-meditated. I would think that a person who ejects from an aircraft intends to use the parachute (the unintentional nature of the actual ejection event notwithstanding.)
  11. If so, would he be able to log that one? I mean.... a jump's a jump!
  12. Looks like they just used bigger peas. If you count them I bet there would be the same number as in a normal-sized pit (of course compensated for scaling to get the same landing results.)
  13. You got that right. land is a valued resource that could be used in the production of food and not be destroyed with dead people under it. such a selfish act to bury yourself with a large metal box, in a yet larger cemet box and then covered with a quarryed stone all the while filled with chemicals that will end up in the area ground water source. We do need to bury a few people so future generations can dig us up and put our bones in museums... also they can sell our artifacts on eBay. Who are we to deny future 3rd graders a boring museum field trip?

    Wine-o's

2006 Mouton Rothschild Bordeaux. Either that or Night Train. ........Just kidding. Several years ago I had a friend who liked to experiment with various wines. I don't recall which they were, but some of the New York wines were to my liking. Now I occasionally open wines like white zinfandel or other varietals...usually brands like Sutton, Kendall or Turning Leaf or other California wines in that price range.
  15. I didn't think it would go this way either!!! By the way, I'm saving my vote in case of a tie beaker! And You?? I voted for cheap casket, IF I used a casket....but I won't be...Ashdive for sure! Hey! How about a casket dive?!?........ You could plan it like a raft dive! I'm sure it'd be about the same. Get video.
