It’s worth remembering that only Florida is in a death struggle with Mickey Mouse. He lives on peacefully in Anaheim.

I thought those from the Vortex represented themselves well. I shot Darren a message after it aired and told him that. Otherwise, I personally did not care for the show. Same old suspects getting rehashed. The money and the tie are where the focus should be. But, I guess the general viewing audience wants suspects. Most will look at it and try and guess which one is the culprit, as if it's a game of Clue and it has to be one of them. Oh well, it's certainly not the first time that History Channel has delivered what I considered to be a disappointing effort. I guess it's a good quick overview of the case for someone not really familiar with it.

Hi Joe, The pundits like to put voters into categories. IMO the decisive votes will be the suburban females; whether they be housewives/stay-at-home-moms or those in the workforce. I do not seeing them supporting Trump. And, I doubt that they would support DeSantis. I may be out in LaLa-Land, but, that is my take as of now. Jerry Baumchen PS) Ponder this: State Homepage - Emerge Oregon (emergeamerica.org) They are a force to be reckoned with. Wendy, you could start one on the east coast.

It has been a while hasn't it. Between Covid, some changes on my end, as well as some projects that I could not turn down, progress has been slower then I wanted. I have been laying low on DZ.com as a result. There has been a lot of progress, but all the public cares about is a release date lol.. I was live fire jump testing last summer and will restart test jumps in a couple of weeks, it is still cold here and then there is life lol. I was not able to get to PIA this cycle so I was planning on an up date here. One new thing that I am thinking about is taking the Blue Tooth that the Military AAD has and adding it to the Sport Tandem AAD so it could notify the DZ management if a Tandem Instructor pulls low or turns more then 90 degrees on final; this in an attempt to reduce the number of tandem incidents. Of the two, the low pull is really the only alert that makes sense to alert management of, as anyone who has been jumping for any amount of time knows that 180 hooks a standard tandem landing pattern, and why alert management of something that they see happen all day long lol.. Now I imagine that such an alert would get a lot of push back from TIs, but, buss and truck drivers pushed back when GPS monitoring was introduced and now it is normal. Bottom line is, if you are doing what you are supposed to then there is nothing to worry about. An AAD is not a product that should be rushed in my opinion. This AAD does things the current AADs just can't do, and there is a lot to consider and test to reach the reliability and confidence level that want.. I am really excited and proud of what my team and I are creating.

You run money and watch how our economy is doing, wouldn't you think our strong economy will at least remove "pretty easily" from the answer? Certainly, today's paradigm is not what were used to but from my perch the US economy seems quite good at the moment, doomsayers aside. Sure rates are up but so is interest income. My life's experience is that 6-7% money is no impediment to investing. I did well in aircraft at much higher rates than that, for sure. Yes wages are up but so is pricing with those increases moving a simple one level lower to workers in many cases. Except for the usual bubble markets, and sure the bidding wars and zero days on market times ended, but real estate is still firm with many homes still going for asking price. There is a lot of asymmetry as always, and the least capable are suffering disproportionally, but in the burb's where elections are decided it seems like things are still looking good.

And around here they say the same thing about Biden. What a machine we have, eh? And after we've seen the evidence of women governing (look at Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, and Jacinda Ardern for recent examples of decisive women governing and doing it well), why isn't the US ready to have a woman President? For all the same reasons it "wasn't ready" to have an African-American one? Why should we, as a country, pander to bigots? I realize that they vote, but that's up there, morally, with saying that money can buy anything, when a bigoted vote has to be pandered to. It just pisses me off. Wendy P.

The new History channel program at 8:00 cdt with Darren et al was interesting, thought provoking, and very well done, by all involved. This program brings everyone up to date with the newest generation of researchers working on the DB Cooper case. I thought everyone involved was excellent. Its a program worth watching and a welcome surprise! It was flanked by repeats of older Cooper programing beginning with the Colbert-Rackstraw/ Mucklow program where the FBI closes the case, and another program closing the evening with Ulis chaos. We turned away to another channel and then CNN and local news ...

Not really. Some just cling to an old identity that maybe once made sense but, under close examination now, actually doesn't fit. What really is a Conservative, these days? Are they only Republicans and never Democrats? Surely not. It used to be being Conservative was about economic principles. Now its more about who has fun under the sheets with whom and on which day sometimes, too. That's why I object to folks identifying as Republican thinking they're identifying as economic conservatives when the unfortunate downstream effect is they're giving cover to bigots simply by standing under the same tent. Myself, I'm a piss poor Liberal even though I so identify as a personal matter. I only identify as a Democrat as a counter to at least one voter who identifies as a Republican because, like it or not, those numbers matter.

And at some point in the future, when the transplants become unhappy at the reality of Russia, and start protesting, Putin will stand up in front of the Duma and begin speaking: "When the United States sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing conspiracy theories. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Pretty easily I would think. Democrats running Biden for another election is not smart.

He didn't claim otherwise. The defeat was of the "reich wing", which excludes moderate (traditional) Republicans. High time the moderate wing of the GOP got some balls and stood up to the MAGA loonies.

Hi folks, More insanity in Idaho: Idaho patients, including teenagers, have long crossed into Washington state to legally end their pregnancies. New Idaho law creates crime of ‘abortion trafficking’ - oregonlive.com Once again, the Catholics are living in the Dark Ages. Jerry Baumchen PS) I consider Jay Inslee one of the best governors in this nation: In response to potential legal threats, on April 27, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, signed a series of bills barring law enforcement from cooperating with other states’ abortion investigations. Those laws shield medical providers from lawsuits and protect their medical licenses from being revoked.

April 2023 Right on the ground problems began. Barometer chip malfunctioned - my dashboard display did not show altitude readings, and no climb / descend rate. Anyway I decided to proceed. I can judge the altitude visually. I run the system on the ground. Okay. We took off, climbed to 11,000. I stood on the far end of the shelf. Commanded engines to start. They responded properly. As they reached the state “Accelerate” … I jumped. OMG The initial feeling was like there are two persons working together on common mission. I was busy to stabilize and fly wingsuit. Engines were busy to start themselves. Throwing short glimpses on the display, for my surprise and satisfaction, I noticed that they are making progress toward full operation. At certain point engines reported full run, 30,000 RPM. From that point I can control them. I then increased throttle. 50,000 RPM. 70,000 RPM. 95,000 RPM ! Gentle but powerful force on my foot pushed me forward ! I changed body position to fly up. In regular flight wingsuit will climb a little-bit, then will lose speed and stall after a few seconds. But now it was not the case. Despite climbing up I definitely continued to fly forward at significant speed. It worked ! Without altitude readings, I decided to keep larger safety margins, not to fly until the last moment. So I gradually decreased RPM and eventually shut down engines. Changed flight pitch to pre-opening, deployed PC and landed perfectly.
