  1. Definitely good practice if you partying abroad. Namely P.I. mexican border towns and unfortunately for a fellow shipmate, Greece. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  2. I have a mcdonalds experience. Norfolk VA Naval base; the mcdonald's nearest the submarine piers. Every sailor in the Atlantic fleet knows this restaurant. Me: [after a long wait at the speaker I honk the horn] Lets go!! She: [nastily] "don't honk the horn, sir!" Me: "About freakin' time! I'll take......" At the window: She: [a "ghetto rich" woman]"What did you say to me back there?" Me: "I said 'About freaking time!', you guys always have crappy service here!" She takes the money and leaves my order on the window sill so I had to reach for it. Me: [taking in her Tommy hilfinger gangsta apparel] "Stay on welfare!!!" She: "F***k You!" _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  3. I always wondered what would happen during periods where people are not spending for whatever reason, depressions and such, if we had a National Sales Tax. What about the stock market? No IRS, no collections on sellings. That probably means taxing when you are buying. What about IRA contributions?and also since state and local taxes aren't part of the 16th amendment, will these taxes rise/start to compensate? Or are these guys going to write up an amendment that will abolish them. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  6. Right off of West Point loma blvd, a street away from Ocean Beach. . .the white ghetto. It's funny. This is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my windows open while I am gone for the weekend. Crime is virtually nonexistant here. As far a where I was; I visited family for the weekend since my last cutaway cost me some jump funds. Ohh...so beautiful the feel of reserve riser slap
  7. Where do you live, Chula-juana? Don't know about an extra room, but my complex is getting rid of some Irish students whose party times haven't been adjusted from Ireland time(read 3:00a.m. till dawn on workdays). _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. What got my suspicion was the source identified as a "Navy Spokesman", not a spokesman from the Department of Veterans Affairs or Bureau of Naval Personnel or some other naval department that would really look into this. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  10. one mutt cat. She came as part of the package with the free couch set that she trashed as a youth(old roommate's cat). I don't like cats but this animal grew on me.
  11. DAD!!! Man, that bridge brings me memories. Thursday college Night at the Copacabana, and the drunken walk back over that bridge. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  12. Any of you olda kids remember Jayce and the Wheeled Warrior cartoons of the eighties? I always thought that Aztec looked like one of the Monster Mind vehicles sans buzzsaw on the roof. Guess the designers saw that show too. . . _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  16. for the law types: i know this is impractical due to the price of the sign; but if you pull someone elses sign from your lawn and put it off the side of the road and it gets stolen, can the sign owner sue you claiming Constructive Bailment has happened? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  17. completely off the subject here. But the reason there's a huge difference in spending in school districts is the fact that the richer districts are able to. in most places funding for schools comes from local property taxes as well as state and federal. In poorer areas where everybody rents and has no real assets to be taxed, there is just no money. It has to come from state and federal only. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  18. The nissan armandas and their Titans have had an incredible amount of problems. they are the worst full sized truck on the market. But that's because it's Nissans first dabble into the full sized market.(probably) They will probably see a dramatic increase in reliability next year after they get the bugs ironed out. It doesn't matter. They're ugly trucks anyways
  19. This, though last year is considered poverty.2003 poverty income _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. I have given the patented Welfare Speech* Sometimes you have the newly divorced mother of 2+ starting to get on her feet and will succeed in time; then you get the "ghetto-barrio-rich" working that window. you look at the parking lot and you see that car that you know belongs to them. you know, it's the car with the $3000 rims, $5000 stereo system, ugly flake job on. . .$750 car. the car is the only thing they couldn't finance. Smart enough to cheat the gov't; too dumb to make a burger. *(patent pending) it 'pends on how bad you mess up my burger _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  21. Neil Peart. His music was the first I really wanted to learn. Plus he still matures in his playing. the test for echos album showed a remarkable advancement on his part. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  22. I'm not a Kerry supporter, But I could see it work. . .on paper. 200,000 + income is in the 33% to 35% tax bracket. most middle class is 15 to 25%(2003 tables). the 200,000+ includes millionaires and billionaires. Now a "big break" may not be too big on the lower middle class. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
