  1. I think he's one of those "Incel" type.
  2. There was a couple that had an emotional support dog at the airport. When I boarded, I saw that they were in my window seat. They had the middle and the aisle seat and had wanted the window believing I would give it up for their animal. But I said "no". I paid for the seat and I know the difference between a "comfort animal" and a Service Dog. They played the victim; and I wanted a peaceful flight. Thus didn't call them out on their bullshit. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  4. Ahh. . .Neil Pert. The bane of my learning as a drummer. I had it all pact until "Test for Echos" came out. Frustrated the hell out of me to learn it. But learning to play the music is much easier than creating the music. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  5. Well it was closed on two fronts. The national fraternity organization cut its ties to that chapter, and the school forced the fraternity out of the house. Usually when a fraternity loses its charter, they would have to move out of the house as that is the condition that they are on campus. A fraternity without a charter is just a collection of guys living in a place that another fraternity waiting in line should get. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  6. Hate to say it. That's my hometown. Your Concealed Carry license is useless there. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  7. How? This only explains wage earners. How about business men and other owners? People who live off of unearned income? Someone has to make sure they pay their dues, and the right amount. How about people with combination of both types of income? Foreign income? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  10. Since the concept of "Big Brother" and similar social/antisocial/antiestablismentariansm, and Popular Paranoia ect. was a product of the 50's-70's born/raised group culture and not today's youth. George Orwell and Ayn Rand books are not the Boogeyman for high schoolers anymore. Also, the technology talked about is a product of this generation as they built it. They also can also disrupt it. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  13. Misuse of a quote. This statement was not about stupidity. But it could well be about driving. NM is the only state where my car was hit three times in a week, each time while stationary, twice while stopped at red lights, third time while parked. At least the last driver had insurance. One of those drivers actually had insurance? Must have been driving through the "nice" part. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  14. I lived in that state for many years. I'll agree with your second statement. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  16. No. She did. She explicitly said her actions were antiathoritarian. Nope. Some of them were famous after. Anyways, the point was they were doing something constructive, not idiotic. You are missing the point. The point is you either don't know the difference between effective cause vs. stupidity, or you think all examples of rule-breaks are a thing of fan-boy worship. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  17. You mean like Rosa Parks, Martin King, Henry Thoreau and Mahatma Gandhi? Were they douchebags? You serious? Those were famous people that got recoginzed for doing something important. You think that girl was like any of the above you mentioned? She some sort of hero at their caliber? None you mentioned above was some silly "antiauthoritarian" who got negative attention for being stupid. They actually did something important. One didn't want trouble, One actually got out and created an organization to challenge unfairness, one used a considerable amount of personal dicipline and education to stand up to the Brits, one was published. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  18. She was on a company sponsored trip. The company has a right to dicipline an employee action that might cause them to lose business. Me too. But it's not fun for the businesses whose paying guests have to experience that, and it's not a joke for those who actually tend the grass. Sure. After all, there are some outstanding skydivers who are total douches. Breaking the rules for the sake of breaking the rules as an Antiauthoritarian attitude is essentially a douchebag move. If you are against something, effect change at the source instead of causing headaches for others in the spirit of "flexing your rights". _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  19. And she got put on administrative leave pending her actions due to the fact that someone exercised their 1st Amendment rights to do a Facebook page on her actions. But it's not that. No. She specifically states that she was doing her usual "photo doing the opposite of what a sign says". There was no exercising of anything going on here. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. Congratulations!! You should be proud! First thing, this is a tough program. He will have a lot of "extra study time" during the course of his pipeline. Always let him know how proud you are because it's going to get tough and he will need to keep his head in the game and will need all the support he can get. Advancement in his rate is good and the re-enlistment bonuses are maxed out to $90k depending on fleet needs. That is how demanding the need to keep such talent in. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  21. It's not about injustice, it's about a retarded america. It's still whining. Retarded people. . . Injustice. . . But both can be easily manipulated. Both the Dems and Republicans do. You guys just need to learn to do that. Take charge and responsibility of your future instead of riding the wave. There's a difference between the shepard and the sheep. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  22. Exactly. So now you know what the requirement is to get in the game, utilize it!! Get some money together, raise a couple Billion and start campaigning for the next race! It may require something other than what you guys are used to; using the Libertarian platform for a political purpose instead of a place to whine about the injustice of the System. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  23. Sounds like the Libertarians want things handed to them instead of working for it. Totally opposite to what they preach. Now I see what's wrong. They want Govt out of everything, but when things stack against them, they want a "fair playing ground" that could only be supplied by Gov't intervention. No wonder they are weak. Everyone but them knows they are full of shit. At least you can say something about the Democrats and the Republicans. . .they earned their position in politics. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  24. I haven't experienced this. Who has said this? Was it more than one person? Democrats and Republicans weren't the only parties that existed. Three other parties that put up Presidents: Whigs, Federalists and War Union. It's not the question of setting up against the other two, it's a question of dethroning one group or the other. How is a group that is about 40 years old never able to put in a President? What are they lacking? Why did a rag-tag group like the Tea-Party in one year produce more disturbance than the total combined years of the Libertarian Party? The answer is, they are very unappealing to practially everyone than themselves. The OP says that they laugh at the other parties, but they haven't earned any points to be in that position. To me this is sad, as with the exception of a few strange ideas, they aren't a bad grou, and have some good points. They have the ability and capability to be legitimate, but it seems that there is a strange hubris surrounding them. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  25. Wouldn't laugh. Look at what lack of any stronghold the Libertarians have. If the Democrats and Republicans are retarded, how come the Libertarians aren't clever enough to snag the vote or popularity away? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
