  1. It's more of the rate of the pull rather than amount of the toggle. Too much toggle is when you see your canopy overhead start to turn faster than your body or maybe a slight unloading in your seat and your shoulder opposite of the toggle pivots towards the ground. Best prevention is to know when it's going to happen. When you feel the line twist start to happen, just grab your risers and spread them. You will still turn radically but if you are fast enough you can at least prevent the twisting. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  2. Empower!!! from the empowerment 90's. crappy word is still here. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  3. 1. No 2. No 3. Yes, but not in the english speaking ferengi style. 4. No 5. Apparently Madame Cleo couldn't see the failure. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  4. probably not for fear of ridicule. maybe some "know" that we really did land on the moon but do not have the technical expertise to debunk the hoax on their own so they put their faith on the ones that can. These types can go either way in belief. Me personally, I know we landed on the moon due to the fact that common sense tells me it is extremely hard to fake a moon landing with all those thousands involved in the Apollo Missions. The Russkies back then were closely monitoring and would have screamed "foul" if it didn't happen. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  5. I'm pretty sure they did, but the way sonar really works (due to sound travel in water) it could get away from the mine hunting sonars. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  6. Yup, me too. But I don't think they visit us displaying technology that suspiciously looks like our own technical philosophy vamped up a few notches. But those UFOlogists tend to forget to tell the public on thier reportings that "UFO" and "Alien Space Ship" are two different things. Or maybe they don't know it means two different things>
  7. It actually started by my third grade class being mean to the new guy. They found out I was born in Alaska and all of a sudden I am an eskimo. They're kids. What did they know. The funny thing is my ancestry is mostly Mimbres Apache from southern New Mexico/Mexico area. I tell everyone that I am Mexican-American because it's easier. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. You sure that's a freebag? I see a bridle coming from the inside of the dbag to something that i assume is an anchor point to top of a parachute, and stitching on the other one that suggests (I almost swear I could see the tip of a closing pin on it's opposite side) a closing pin on the other side. Or. . .am I missing the joke? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  9. How about this one. . . STOLEN I don't know if many thiefs look at license plates of their victim's cars but I would imagine it would make the police itch to run the plates every time they see the car. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  10. Sadly it's from the same group that puts those "reindeer racks" (spoilers) on their trunks. I swore I saw a 6 pointer yesterday. But you know, those light covers and spoilers and gaudy paint jobs make those cars go faster. I think Ill put on some of those kazoo mufflers so i can put on 5 whole hp somewhere on a uselesss part of the powerband. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  12. 8 1/2 grand in the hole with a car payment back in the day. All paid off 6 1/2 years ago and waiting for the last bad mark to dissapear hopefully this year. What did I learn from all this? Credit cards suck and you can't use American Express anywhere. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  13. correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that if the credit card companies know you are banking from the "Bank of Mom and Pop" they are more lenient to giving you a card at around a $500 dollar limit. I think that you have to be able to be claimed by your parents still (single, age of 23 and younger and a full time student) but I could be wrong. I didn't even have a job when I got my first card in college and I listed my parents as a source of income. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

    Cold Stone

They should be considered cemeteries. It's very easy to mix beyond 1000 calories in those places. Cold Stone is a legal crack house
  15. Yup, more than likely it's a 727-200 since some of the refitted 200's have wing tips. looks like someone has a new toy.

    1st Cruise

lots of scuba diving in cozumel. You will be on a very long pier there and before you get to the land there's a shop that you have to go through that sells velvet elvises and stuff. they sell cheaper of the same stuff downtown. When you get to the road at the end a left turn will take you to town. there's a village square type area with statues and trees and sometimes trinket venders and performers. There's some good shops lining that area and of course a little further down that road, a Carlos and Charlies on the second deck somewhere. And of course there is the Platinum bar. . .if you are taking a bf and you guys are weird that way. Oh the memories. You can also take a ferry over to Cancun on the mainland. If you see any of my brethen there (US Navy) the town is going to get a bit crazy at night. enjoy _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  18. Didn't that came out the same year that disco rendition of mussorvsky's "Night on Bald Mountan"? What did I miss here? How do you get from "drunken morbid lush depressed russian" to "happy bouncy bell bottomed boogie-woogie" crap? I also one time banned eminescence's "Bring me to life" from being played in my house. My opinion's different now. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  19. I use mine for freefall. as far as camera helmet, there's no place I can think of to place one. The whole top centerline is dedicated to the latching mechanism for the visor. The jawbone-ear area is part of the pivoting visor. And both areas are dedicated to the visor's ability to swing up and down. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. Kind of reminds me of a mild form of the "Tulip Mania" of the 17th century in holland. I just wish an affordable house here wasn't so small maybe not so Tulip-esque after all. Just read Michele's post. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  21. Mine!! well, soon it will be. Once I get my classVI hitch put on. The ball sticks out six inches beyond my bumper. I drive a 4X4 so it's tall enough already. I'm just ready for those SoCal tailgaters to rear end me. A small import will probably just go under, but a medium sized vehicle will have a solid steel ball penetrate, and then because of the shape, lock into the offending car's grille. then I will roll down the window and point off to where we will park to get out of everyone's way and then give it a little gas and rip the front end of the car off.
  22. this test is a sham. I wonder what Phd those certifiers have. I hate that I have to give a fake email address to get the result. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
