Our office got up to 529,000 on text twist. We would log on and do as much as possible and stayed logged on overnight till the next day to save it. On our third day the word DISOWN got us. Our boss was even helping us out. We got the laziest office _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  13. Believe me, I'm in the deep water Navy and I call our ships Boats. It's more of a derogatory statement. My rebellious streak. We also call them "tin cans", "torpedo sponge","#%^%@%@#$" and such. All these carriers in the water seems normal. The way the navy works is on a normal 18+ month shedule; you have a 6 to 8 month cruise, several of one month underway periods for work-ups and exercises, several one week underway periods for training, couple of berthing shifts. . . ect. Basically, you will spend 60 to 75 percent of the year away from the pier. That's nothing new. Carrier battle groups are always underway for exercises or deployments. there's a group of carriers out at sea, a group of carriers on their way to relieve the carriers out to sea, a group of carriers doing work ups to get ready to relieve the carriers that are on their way to relieve, and some in a dry-dock or other. It takes a lot to get 7 to 12 ships to work together as a team. That's 10,000 people working together. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  14. I did it an easier approach. . .the dude went 33% (or is it 75%) faster on the first leg and half as fast on the second leg. If he went twice as fast on the first leg, then he would be equal to sandy. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. Ive always liked automatics; especially for racing. I'd start at the line, put the shifer on second, put on the brakes and gas simetaneously,(too cheap for a trans brake). . .light goes green, release the brake, let it roll first then floor it till i hit the top of the torque curve, shift it to first, repeat, shift to drive. Win. plus, its easier to drive in stop and go. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  18. there ain't no speeding in San Diego. I've been passed doing 85. Also, the last few miles to the dropzone is winding road and am lucky if I can go the speed limit. My truck will go on two wheels before it starts to slide as I found out this past weekend. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  19. I stay away from Fox News as a rule. I try to get what I can from the Early Bird. Even CNN's "investigative reporting" can be as off the wall as Fox though. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  22. Ill accept that. To me, this definition describes more closely to a fraternity or brotherhood type organization. My thoughts put secret society more towards underground movements and such. I can't argue with a dictionary though. Again an oops. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  23. finally reading the book. I think it's okay so far. Most of the theories are quite the Conspiracy theorist candy. -That PHI thing is the simple case as looking at a tree in a forest and calling it significant. That 1.6. . number isn't the only number that can describe nature. 1.0 can also. And 1.2. . .ect. -That deitsm of Christ theory I believe is real because I researched it about ten years ago. -Real secret societies/groups don't name themselves. Why? They definitely don't make emblems. -If there's a lineage of symbols to tie two things together, there's no connection. All it takes is two symbols to tie two absolutely irrelevant subjects together. I hope that some of these theories are intentional fabrications for the readers. If not, this guy has a paranoid outlook that can discredit some of the good theories by association. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
