It seems to be airport specific these days, in Pasco Washington you cannot take a rig as carry on. But at Portland PDX its not a problem.... LAX...not a problem....etc.........I dont get it myself. on the solo's........TRACK.....yer ass off, perfecting it is more important than some believe..... other than pulling, it is the only life saving skill you will use all the time..... (except solo's of course) I dont know how many jumps you have, but you should be doing at least two ways, solo's will not teach you if you are backsliding/ wandering/ or changing your fall rate unintentionally. it all comes down to good packing. If someone packs sloppily, I can agree with you, I was a dz packer for three years before I got my instructional ratings.
