What a joke! Casa Grande is a little shit hole of a place with very little redeeming qualities at all. This whole idea sounds like a Ponzi scheme to me and if these idiots are stupid enuff to get involved, let 'em. There's already an abandoned outlet mall next to I-10. Right across from the abandoned furniture warehouse. Which isn't too far from the abandoned housing project with streets and utilities in the ground. A sucker is born everyday......

I just went down this road. Used the Canadian post and had no issues. Fairly quick and reasonable. Seems the major shoppers use this as a profit point. I'd avoid that risk

Without ALL the facts, it is difficult to ascertain exactly what happened here. However, shooting an unarmed teenager irregardless of the color of their skin certainly looks bad. Do these folks have a right/reason to be pissed? I think so. A right/reason to loot and riot? No. The Police will always argue they gave the right to elevate to the next level of aggression. You don't comply to their orders, they can wrestle you to the ground. You attempt to flee, they can Taser. You pull a weapon, they can fire theirs. I personally don't believe in bringing a gun to a fist fight. Appropriate defense is my motto. Unfortunately, things often escalate quickly and bullies with a badge over react. Facing these folks with riot clad, military outfitted cops is inviting an aggressive reaction. If it happens to the cops, it's justified. If your a citizen, it's not complying. I'm passive at 1st, I'll warn if it persists and I'll react if it continues. Seems more restraint on each side here could avoid these ultimatums. The cops shot an unarmed kid. Being a bit sympathetic to that may have avoided this scene. Instead the cops go into overdrive pushback mode. I hate Bullies. Especially those with a badge. Lets see if they play this honestly or skew the facts. Sure be nice to see it dealt straight and honest. For a change....

Rare. They do occur. Even after AFF. Your situation does present challenges. They can be overcome. The Tandem progression is the way to go IMO. Learning to fly a pattern and properly to land will have to be thoroughly understood prior to the jump. There's always going to be learning by doing but, most can be picked up thru ground and the tandem ride. As long as you don't do anything TOO stupid, you'll be fine.

Once you understand "Why", you understand the reasons this ever existed. Lets develop an enemy that can't be defeated, can't be defined, can't be located and won't ever be found. Throw a TON of money, people, body parts and equipment at it. Who benefits? Who pays? Find these answers and you'll get the big picture here. As George Carlin said, "It's a Big club and you ain't in it!"

You are correct. The Hot Zone was a scary read. And true. Lets think of another possibility; A small biotech is developing a vaccine for this. They NEED a reason for everyone to get it. What better way than bringing it here under this guise and then accidentally releasing it? Wouldn't be too far fetched in our modern society. Mite also explain all the coffins at the Homeland security locations. Yeah, not likely. But, possible. That jet that brought them from Africa sure didn't look like a private company. Agreed. Another "Oh, I tried so hard!" BS piece of journalism that just paints skydiving as being so dangerous and unpredictable. Had this Hero simply practiced his EP's a bit more, this would have had a very different outcome. Easy to be the knight in shining armor after the fact. Pretty sure it was more of an "Oh Shit!" These are test mules for an auto maker. An attempt to disguise a new model on the road prior to production. Saw these all the time in suburban Detroit. Often have Michigan manufacture plates on them.

The government revised the 1st qtr growth numbers today. Instead if showing an expansion of the economy as was previously stated, it was re-stated that the economy actually shrank by 2.9%. The usual suspects were blamed weather, unrest in the Middle East, blah,blah,blah.... The market lost 119 points, companies are missing earnings and those the hit them are only doing it thru downsizing and efficiency. Hardly the signs if an expanding healthy recovery IMO. Is anyone out there seeing an increase in their economy?

Saw this at a large DZ outside Houston. The new manager was "asking everyone" to purchase an expensive suit with their logo plastered all over it. If you find the shot of all these happy, lucky folks, only 2 of them still work there. Don't mind the uniform look. We can achieve that without the logos. If they insist on that, then I would insist they pay for the 1 place use uniform. Oh and funny how the manager got his for free.......

I met him. He is the manager at Skydive Las Vegas in Boulder city. Seemed like a decent enough guy. Told me he had started jumping in Tecumseh and knew about Napoleon. I didn't recognize him and am pretty sure we had never met before. Ask Dan Pushies, he'll know.

Is there any semblance of punishment fits the crime here? No doubt they knew they were trespassing but a burglary felony and possible 7 yr prison sentence? And look at the resources that were thrown at this? Love my country but this is EXACTLY the type of overstepping police state Nazi-ish behavior that we see more and more of everyday. Trespassers?
