  1. Getting some quotes between 420-475 for a base rig. Seems high to me. Please only comment if you have any experience in this matter. Suggesting I search isn't necessary Thanks
  2. Anybody remember these 2? Pud was his dog and they used to jump together in the 90's. Someone dumped a Chiweenie at my airport. I finally caught him and he has turned into an excellent DZ pup. Loves to be thrown up in the air and caught again. Barks like crazy when I get in the plane. I wanna make him a harness and I'll get him some goggles and we'll go jump.
  3. Is anyone using a Session for handcam? If so, how is it working? Funjump rigging has a nice setup for a Viso to be mounted in front. I need a replacement fo my Hero 3 and curious if anyone has experience with this setup Thanks
  4. Once you Once youve been around the block a few times, it becomes easier to avoid the chaff. That being said, everyone brings happiness. Some by coming, other's by going. A big Red flag in my book has been places that hire every season. Clearly the last staff chose to not come back or weren't invited to. They hired the wrong people or didn't treat them rite. My experience has been more the latter and so I have skipped around a bit. Finally gave up and run my own place. Seems to be working well.....
  5. A fight can only be justified for 2 reasons: Protect people and protect property. Neither of these existed in this scenario. This was assault. plain and simple. Had this been your father, mother, brother or sister. you mite agree. I've gotten into a few altercations over the years and I can tell you a small injury to the head tends to bleed quite a bit. It doesn't always incapacitate you. Being a Sheeple and obediently following any and all "orders" regardless of rite or wrong, shows how programmed many have become. Sending these Goons in to remove this customer will prove to have been 1 of the stupidest decisions in Corporate history. TK's suggestion shude have been considered.
  6. Mkt cap slid by 5 million today. Glad i bought those puts. As long as Munoz keeps Tweeting, I'm gonna make a fortune on this......
  7. Of all the options available to United and the LE, this path will prove to have been their worst option. The bump was to allow another crew member (or more) to get to Louisville to fly a plane. Good reason, poor way to handle it. The stewart staff shude have been bumped and the flight crew cude have served the peanuts, can't be an hr flite. This passenger was chosen because they were a cheap seat. Sure, pick on those that can't afford to miss a day of work. And last, getting into a physical altercation with a cabin full of smart phones had to be 1 of the stupidest things i've seen a while. I wude have loved to have seen the rest of the passengers stand up and block these bullies with a badge. But then. that's these Assholes basic MO........
  8. Cool. Perhaps this cude be a safety item if we crash.......
  9. Cool. Perhaps this cude be a safety item if we crash.......
  10. Just curious why so many are focused on weight? Can't take a half gallon to cover and it can't weigh anymore than 6-8#'s. Once cured, this is no more flammable than any other interior product.
  11. That's really sharp! Clearly he did a lot of prep and a f ew layers to make it look like that. Mine wude require a lot more work to look like that. I'll have to think about it....
  12. Diamond design! Oooh Baby! I'll have to dig out the KC and the Sunshine band soundtrack. It actually looks pretty nice. I'm trying to get away from the cut and stick on stuff. It;s hot where I'm at and I'm gonna be lazy once I get this done.
  13. "We're from the government and we're here to help...." Funny how they ask for shit that they have little knowledge about. No doubt, this is gonna be pretty permanent. It's an old beat up skydive airplane and will never be anything else. I've cleaned most of the old stuff off and it's now just brushed/scarred aluminum. Certainly smells better than it did. I'm not trying to put too much lipstick on this pig, just enuff to keep the date interesting.
  14. Just to be clear, I plan on only using it on the sides and ceiling. Floor will have a new padding. Weight is not an issue. As with many older Cessna's, the interior has been covered in various things and just looks like crap. I need something that will cover that up and still look good. Was hoping to get some input about other options or things that have been done before.
  15. Finishing my mods on the outside and now need to upgrade the interior. Stripped out the old glued on foam and now need a new finish. Thinking of truck bed Rhino liner finish, any thoughts?
  16. redoing my 182 and tackling the interior. Thinking of spraying Rhino liner on it. Thoughts?
  17. When yer new at this game, there's quite a bit to digest. The fact that it could be a life or death decision puts a bit of a scare into it. Controlling the fear is 1 of the biggest things. You do that by being informed and ready. We do that by practicing the EP's. Allows you to be more relaxed. And that's the key. The reality is that when you jump out of a plane, you are relying on just 1 parachute to save yer life. Your reserve. Your main may or may not work. If it doesn't, who cares? You weren't depending on it anyway. Did it come out? Is it steerable and landable? Not sure? try it again. Still not working rite? Get rid of it and go for the sure thing. This keeps it easy to understand and a simple plan to do
  18. Elvis league good looks, Incredible voice, Amazingly talented song writer and producer. Few know that on his album "Listen without Prejudice" he played EVERY instrument. He didn't appear in any of the videos either. Man, I was hoping he wuda gotten it together and done a tour. But, just like MJ, his Demons ruled his world and he left way too early. Not sure what is with these kinda folks that have such Incredible talent only to turn their back to it. Still shakin my head...
  19. Meant MT Prop Everything I'm reading is pretty impressive
  20. Anyone operating an MY prop? Good, bad or ugly?
  21. This man realized his higher calling. Had no idea what he was walking into and no idea what to say when he got there. He was simply a carrier for a Much bigger message. That call didn't just happen. He didn't just make it in time. That was part of his job and he stepped up. Brutal situation? No doubt. Is what he did in each 1 of us? I believe so. I don't know if or when my calling will happen. None of us do. We can only prepare and be ready when it does. May I be so lucky as this kind being.
  22. You mentioned high compression pistons, how's that setup? Stock exhaust, port and polish? You can Pm me if needed Thanks
  23. Skydive West Texas in Seagraves Texas is open. Mainly Tandems but theres almost always a slot on the plane for fun jumpers. we have the best weather!
  24. "Are they worth it?" An individual decision. Room for improvement? No doubt. The decision to yank individual and Group memberships because a few board members don't like their business practices wreaks of bully tactics. Losing in Federal court after that stupid decision and agreeing to settle ONLY if the results stay hidden. Ed Scott's asinine comments to the news after the recent Lodi incident. Yanking all those tandem ratings after issuing them and forcing them to get "re-trained" at an additional cost. Yanking Bill's personal membership, the list goes on and on. For an organization that is suppose to be of and for skydivers, it's acting an awfull lot like a corrupt government
  25. Anyone operating a 182 A plane with a P Ponk conversion?? More specifically, any overheating/shock cooling issues without the cowl flaps? I have a 59. It has cowl flaps. I have an opportunity to get a 56. They of course, don't have any cowl flaps. The 56 has the tall gear and it looks like I could hang a 90" prop on that sucker. Trying to get some info to make a better decision. Any help is appreciated.
