DCR-TRV19 Sony Picture [red] HELP!!!!!! [/red]
newshooter12 replied to projectundead's topic in Photography and Video
IMHO... the biggest question is: What Does the video look like played back? Or especially aside from the screen/viewfinder? If it looks ok when you dub and you don't use the viewfinder much... is it worth bothering to fix? matt -

Mounting the PC330 to an Optic with a BH box, Help
newshooter12 replied to sarge's topic in Photography and Video
When drilling any holes in materials, especially composites, use some tape on both sides of where you plan to drill. it's got to be a good bit bigger than the hole so it doesn't just get stuck to the drill bit. In theory when done properly - 3 things - it helps you mark the spot to drill, get the drill to stay put rather than skid around when starting the hole, and the important part... helps keep the material from chipping or splintering when the bit breaks through to the oposite side. I've seen gaphers tape and good wide masking tape used for this. good luck matt -
Sigma SD10... Talk to me people!
newshooter12 replied to freeflydrew's topic in Photography and Video
Take a look at a review on www.dpreview.com More specifically at http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sigmasd10/ happy hunting. p.s. just my $.02, but i'd stick with a nikon or a cannon. Mostly based on the fact that their products, lenses, etc... are more widely available and seem to have better backwards compatibility when it comes to older lens lines functioning on newer bodies. I think if you look at the review you'll also notice some differences in the weight of the different cameras. I believe there is also a way to compare the specs and such on dpreview.com as well. matt -
i had the same experience... but the suit showed up really fast. so no complaints here

There was a special on NG channel about the photog that shot something similar and the workers that change the bulbs on tall buildings like that. Pretty sweet.

my DZ has vests for practice with a BOC pouch on the back, red cutaway handle on some velcro and reserve handle in an elastic band on the front. All the parts line up at the right places. and work well for going through the drills.

Just a thought. If you have some... does your homeowners or renters insurance cover it? Poor Canon matt

I had to work in it today. So why does everyone else get a day off? It is dangerous though. Even got called out on a story where this woman was frozen stiff. matt

I don't believe that's Steady-Cam(TM). Actually a gizmo that was promoted to reduce back injuries for videographers by taking the weight of the camera off the shoulders and back. One of my bosses got excited about it when it came out 3-4 years or so ago. Until he actually tried it out. Deuce - way to go man.
