  1. What countries have the highest rates of firearms ownership? You don't have to outrun the bear.
  2. Congratulations. You've inspired a lot of people. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  3. NO more than ten ounces per bottle. No more than ten rounds per magazine. Yeah, that kind of thinking always works. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  4. While we're talking about all the things the president is single-handedly responsible for, I would like to thank President Obama for using his awesome presidential powers to make the price of gasoline go down. You don't have to outrun the bear.

    SpecOps mice?

The mice run around at night; the mongeese run around in the daytime. They never see each other. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  6. Anybody who would outlaw trolling just don't know how to fish. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  7. If you want a market based on pure capitalism with no regulation at all, can I build my lead smelter upwind of your neighborhood? You don't have to outrun the bear.
  8. Don't the lawyers need some, let's say, "cooperative" judges to pull off this kind of stunt? You don't have to outrun the bear.

You might be right. I was going to say Falcon (Precision Aerodynamics) opens quickly, but, of course, that's an F-111 canopy. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  10. OK, I'm confused. The Society of Pius X doesn't want their team to play against a girl. St. Joan of Arc was beatified by Pius X. Joan of Arc was a girl. What am I missing? You don't have to outrun the bear.
  11. "Bones" Malone still plays in Paul Schaffer's band on the Dave Letterman show. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  12. "Black candidate trounces white candidate in West Virginia Democratic primary. " You don't have to outrun the bear.
  13. I don't know much about the author's history, but he says he only issued one economic alert before when the U.S. credit rating was downgraded. That was pretty much after the horse was out of the barn. He also gets excited about a recent drop in the Baltic Dry Index, but didn't issue an economic alert for a huge drop from June to December, 2008. You can't go too far wrong predicting economic disaster these days, but I don't see a lot of correlation between his predictions and events. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  14. It's not the politicians that annoy me - it's the journalists. I expect politicians to put a spin on their version of the facts, but an informed electorate needs accurate information. An article about the invisible unemployed should not use a graph that includes people over 65 and that puts 16 and 17 year olds in the same category with 24 year olds. So are these journalists lazy, incompetent, or evil? You don't have to outrun the bear.
  15. Mine never read as high as 6500; usually 63xx something. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  16. There was this discussion in the forums last year: //www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=4103332;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; You don't have to outrun the bear.
  17. "Forward" is also the motto of the 32nd Infantry Brigade, whose motto is a red arrow ..... Good Grief - Obama let the Commies take over the U.S. Army You don't have to outrun the bear.
  18. No, I meant what I said. I brought this up deliberately to point out that UBS is a large financial institution that is very interested in the American market. Like a lot of corporations, they contribute to candidates and politicians from both parties. With Obama in the White House, it's natural they would support him. They support anyone they think can influence policy or open doors for them, including some Republicans who are the antithesis of Obama. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  19. I meant the whole sentence, including the part after the word "and": "A few years later, Perry's 23-year-old son went to work for UBS, and Gramm began urging Perry to let UBS privatize the Texas state lottery." Then there's this: http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Gov-Rick-Perry-draws-fire-over-son-s-job-1825953.php But Rick Perry's spokesman says there's no link between these events, so I guess you're right - just a coincidence. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  20. You mean something like this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/25/rick-perry-texas-life-insurance-scheme_n_935666.html?page=1 It's a long article. You have to go all the way to the last paragraph to find a reference to Perry's son. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  21. Helping the son helps the father. It's an indirect link. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  22. or irony, since Rick Perry's son works for UBS, Phil Gramm works for UBS... It seems UBS likes to support powerful American politicians of all stripes. You don't have to outrun the bear.
  23. I was just thinking that. Sounds like it's near the wind tunnel. You don't have to outrun the bear.

  25. Reefing means to hold back the inflation of the parachute for a short time while the parachute slows down. The slider is a reefing mechanism. Elastic suspension lines would soften the opening shock, but would not be a reefing mechanism (just for example). You don't have to outrun the bear.
