  1. it's been time for a long time now...good luck with that however. http://kitswv.com
  2. i am pretty sure that "in god we trust" was put on money sometime after ww2, and that "under god" was inserted into the pledge in the 50's, i may be wrong on the dates, i'm not going to look it up, i don't care enough to know the exact dates. i do know that government will not turn into a theocracy without a constitutional amendment, however. and there have been reversals of sc decisions, but once again, i don't care enough about it to look them up. i remember a couple i have learned about in the past. the internet is full of information, not all of it correct. if you can find information providing that all sc decisions have never been reversed, that would be news to me. but i am not a lawyer, and it is possible that i was misinformed. have a great weekend! http://kitswv.com
  3. just because the sc ruled on it doesn't mean anything. they change from time to time and so do the rulings. they need to get back to the original intent. it was originally meant to prevent a state sponsored religion, much like the c of e that the colonists wanted to get away from. it never had any implications like are being pushed today. if you doubt that, you need to read up on history a bit. http://kitswv.com
  4. that has got to be that coolest thing i've seen in a long time! http://kitswv.com
  5. i am not trying to offend anyone, this just happens to be something i feel rather strongly about. i am not a christian, but i am a veteran and come from a long line of veterans. i am very patriotic and feel very strongly that more people in this country should be as well. and that doesn't mean supporting the government, i feel that the whole system needs a drastic overhaul. the op was spot on in my opinion, there was nothing political in the post. allow me to apologize for my rudeness. http://kitswv.com
  6. it is a fact that "under god" was put into the pledge of allegience in the 50's, no link provided, i remember that from reading several sources through the years. it was during the red scare when everyone wanted to disassociate with the commies, around the same time frame when they put it on money as well... http://kitswv.com
  7. bullshit. if you don't know that the reference to god was inserted into it in the 50's, then go take a civics class. http://kitswv.com
  8. kneeshots are better, non lethal and hurts like hell, at least in court you have a shot at caliming you weren't trying to kill anyone...provided you survive the raid http://kitswv.com
  9. the only thing i find wrong with this is the part in the sixth part about condoms. safety is paramount in my opinion. everything else should have been adopted by all schools years ago. great job dennis prager!!! http://kitswv.com
  10. i'm not sure if i read that right...making oil? from water and air? http://kitswv.com
  11. http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2012-06/nasa-adopts-two-spare-spy-telescopes-each-maybe-more-powerful-hubble "One question: What other incredible pieces of technology do our country's spy agencies have just sitting around? If telescopes of this caliber are languishing on shelves, imagine what they're actually using." http://kitswv.com
  12. judging purely from the posts on this forum, i thought that common sense here was a no-no. http://kitswv.com
  13. that is similar to what i've been saying for years now. as long as you don't interfere with anyone else, it should be nobody's business you do. drugs, prostitution, gambling, driving without a seatbelt, drinking, etc. the key here is "as long as you don't interfere with anyone else". if you drink and drive, bam, interfering with the general public. do drugs and steal to support your habit, bam, interfering with others. this should apply to anyone over the age of 18 with no exceptions. although not guaranteed in the constitution, the pursuit of happiness was important enough to the founders that it was a key to the declaration of independance. whenever the supreme court rules on the constitutionality of a law, these types of documents should be used to determine the intents of the constitution. and it is the "pusuit" of happiness, not the guarantee. most people forget about that. i am sick and tired of people forcing things on me "for my own good". i am a big boy and have been taking care of myself for over 20 years now. enough already!! http://kitswv.com
  14. i blame her. fuck rules, when someone's life is at stake and you can help just by ignoring a rule and handing him an inhaler, you should be fired. or should be fired for not calling 911. period. i'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. or allowing another to be carried by 6. i would and have in the past ignored rules to save someone's life, and would do so again. it is a responsibility we all have as humans, fuck the goddamn fucking lawyers for letting us evolve into this kind of society. http://kitswv.com
  15. great story. in my experience, 95% of cops are pretty cool when you treat them with respect, aren't breaking any serious laws, and haven't got any warrants or a suspended license. that being said, i can tell you from experience that if a cop is called to remove you from a bar for being drunk and disruptive, and you turn around and put your hands behind your back, you will get cuffed and taken in. but even though i was wearing a shirt that had pot leaves all over it, the cop was cool, even offering to take any contraband from me before we got to the station. when i got there, they joked that i must be a buckeye fan(we were in columbus oh, the pot leaves looked like buckeye leaves). http://kitswv.com
  16. you can bump and share apps as well, it's pretty cool. i don't have a smartphone(i object to them on religious grounds) but my girlfriend does. http://kitswv.com
  17. and that depends on where in detroit you're talking about. i've done some time up there with a couple of friends in some places where the cops don't go, ever. not a great place to raise a family for sure. http://kitswv.com
  18. oh well, it's like the senseless killing of a family because a drunk decided that it was ok to try to drive home. is it ok? no. does it happen? sometimes. is there anything we can do about it? no. there is a fine line between allowing personal freedom and too much government impeding on every aspect of your life. i say enough already. in life, there are no guarantees. only that you will die. toughen up a little already folks. it's shameful to think that if this generation had been involved in ww2, we would probably have lost. of course, had it not been for the russians, we definitely would have, but i digress, sorry. http://kitswv.com
  19. i tried to read the article, but a popup came up and crashed the whole browser when i tried to close it. goddamn ads anyway. http://kitswv.com
  20. while that seems like a huge number, when looked at in percentages it's a drop in the bucket, literally. and looking at the causes, it shouldn't be that hard to drop the figure more. all they need to do is change a couple of laws to exclude eyewitness testimony, and punish corrupt prosecutors. like either one will ever happen. but seriously, it shouldn't be too hard to curb, not eliminate, but curb the numbers.i would like to find out what percentage it is, anyone know where i can get the numbers? to me, less than 0.1% is acceptable, it seems like it is smaller than that. http://kitswv.com
  21. i would turn it on and test out all the keys on the keyboard, and then all the usb ports, and try the disc drive, check the log files, and the screen resolution by bringing some hi def pics on a usb and viewing them. as for the restore disc, in win 7 you can make your own with the os and a couple of blank dvd's. you can order them from the manufacturer, it cost me $25 for a toshiba satellite. you may want to get them and do a reinstall of the os when you get it, they get corrupted over time and you don't know what kind of problems it has had in the past(regardless of what you're told). http://kitswv.com
  22. from what i have read, you seem to be talking about fracking. if this is so, the things that i have looked at say that there may be bad, unforeseen consequences in doing this. the reports i have read acknowledge the fact that it is too early to tell if any harm is going to come from it, but it really doesn't matter. the technology is here to move away from oil completely. as soon as the patent is filed, i will start a thread on an electric car that makes it's own electricity, no charging or solar panels needed. it can also be modified to run power plants. of course, that makes me an enemy of a whole lot of people, so it may not come to anything except for an obituary that none of you on this site will know anything about. http://kitswv.com
  23. just an fyi, i work at a call center, i'm american, i speak pretty good english, and i love my job. i hate that you had a bad experience, but applaud you for being understanding of the fact that the person on the phone has nothing to do with what caused your issue. most of the people who work here are very good at their jobs, but a few haven't got a clue. what i hate is the ones who call in and think you're an idiot. i have a degree in computer networking and over 5 years experience working on computers and i had an eu who called in the other day with a very bad attitude. she went so far as to explain to me that the icons on her desktop were shortcuts. what a douche. i am here to help people and i truly love what i do. when i get people like this who are dickheads right off the bat, they are getting the bare minimum of my skills and effort. thanx nataly for not being that douche! http://kitswv.com
  24. i wouldn't give two flips about someone finding a grenade. max kill radius 15 meters, walls pretty much stop all the shrapnel as well. no danger there, but had the drums contained gas, totally different story. of course, there is a lot that we don't know about this, it is unrealistic to form opinions based on what was reported. but, some people have their minds made up regardless of the facts. http://kitswv.com
