  1. It's time for another break of those "Fish in Aquarium" pictures... Not by me, but of myself. Very proud, it made it onto our tunnel´s entry page www.bodyflying.com. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...

  3. Thanks, Laszlo. Your post lets me believe, that its tougher brother should be modifiable as well... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  4. Try SUPER. It's free and converts almost all formats. Not too fast, though... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  5. IMO, you worry too much. I guess nowadays at least 90% of TV/DVD combinations in Europe can play NTSC DVDs without problems, and the remaining 10% are located at Grandma's houses (and they usually don't do tandems...). And computers don't care about TV standards anyway, so there's always a way to play the disc. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  6. Check with the tunnel first, if they allow camera gear in the tunnel, since many do not. Some tunnels only let instructors fly with camera. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  7. At your level, the tunnel in Rümlang can certainly help you, even in "tourist configuration" (lower speed, without Airpipe), which it is most of the time. Write them an e-mail explaining your situation and they will help you to find the best options/deals. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  8. Some I like from yesterday. Taken with my Kodak V570. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  9. Beautifully done... I'm impressed! No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  10. I got mine from here. But since their overseas shipping rates are ridiculous, I got it sent to a friends US address and he brought it over. I like the wide angle of the lens, but its bloody heavy... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...

  12. I have my Z1 for over 8 years now, over 100 hours tunneltime and it NEVER opened. I can't imagine flying with an open face helmet in winter (open tunnel) anymore. Only when flying with camera I use an FF2, or sometimes in summer no helmet at all... My Z1 has a deep groove on the chin part (~1mm deep) from a hard impact with the net. This groove would probably be in my chin with an open face helmet. Z1 is a great helmet, if it fits well. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  13. Some really nice shots. I also like the layout, but I guess it's not really suited to "grow" much... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  14. He probably has to once you realize the loss of picture quality with that Kenko... Apart from this, nice job! No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  15. Round the corners as much as you can, maybe leave more material on the inside of the corners to keep the strenght. Eventually you will accidentually hit something with it and with rounded corners you will do less damage on other peoples property (or your friends heads...). 16. Nothing to be sad for. Just another bad "celebrity" first flight. But I'm quite surprised this crap (IMHO) gets blocked from being watched outside Europe. You're probably better off this way... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  17. http://www.prosieben.ch/lifestyle_magazine/germanys_next_topmodel_staffel4/videos/videoplayer/62185/ Model casting show on German TV. My wife watches that. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  18. If you want to go with the cord option, I'd use strong bungies, fixed to the corners of the plate and with some hooks at the other ends to hook under the edge of the helmet shell. Cheapest option would probably be a roll of duct tape. Put some strips from the plate strait down to as low as possible on the shell, and wrap some more around the whole thing to fill the gaps and give it more strength. Might even look good, but don't forget some alcohol to remove the residual glue when you take it away.... I would probably go for this solution, if i'd only use it on rare occasions. If you plan on using multiple cameras more often, get an FTP... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  19. At least remote controlling over the BraviaSynch (HDMI), with the TV remote control should be possible. Thank god I just bought a Sony LCD... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  20. We always do this ... with hand signals. Works perfectly well. I wouldn't wanna fly in a tunnel without someone in the operating (although we've done it many times ). No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  21. Just thinking, but if the switch connects to ground on both cams, they could be spliced together with decoupling diodes. This would be very simple and small, probably not even noticeable. I did this once for a test with two modified Kodaks (V570 and V705). Worked perfectly for those cams... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  22. Maybe the X-shut, since it's more popular in Germany... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  23. +1 The tunnel staff might even tell you that they already have these sleeves or dummy rigs at the tunnel. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  24. Sony Switzerland advertises for the HDR-CX100E and I guess it's 50i. Sony doesn't seem to be very consistent with this numbering... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  25. If your eyes are that far apart, why not? My field of vision would be restricted too much, IMHO. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
