  1. Try creating the DVD files without burning (should be possible in Settings). If it still fails, it's something in your project. If not, try burning the files to DVD with a different burning program (like Nero). BTW, why are you going for "most video on disc" ? 2. My old TRV7 has the LASER LINK feature, but without the "SUPER". Don't know what the difference is, but even though I bought the receiver (IFT-R10), I haven't used it for more than 2 or 3 times. About 100 $ of wasted money, back then in '97... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  3. I like the third one... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  4. If you are a professional skydiver/coach and have a previous neck injury, a bullet cam is pretty much the only option for video (ask Plü from Paratec factory team). The HXR-MC1 does look promising, but in my opinion, still too big to be called even "bullet style". But if the "non detacheable cable" problem can be solved, that thingy might look good under next years xmas tree... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  5. Let's hope it won't take as long to complete as the Abu Dhabi tunnel did... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  6. I can see your point. If you plan to go to a tunnel just for the benefit for skydiving, either go to ParacleteXP and pay the higher price (although I think a 16ft tunnel is a waste of space and $ for a first-timer) or save the money for now and do your tunnel time when you are close to a 12ft (enclosed) tunnel and have more tunnel time then (for the same money you would pay at PXP). But if you're just curious about tunnels, wanna have some fun and are close to AAC, go for it. Every tunnel will improve your skills, at AAC it just might not be as direct as it would be at PXP (or any other enclosed tunnel). 7. If she's hot, o.k., but topless ??? NO WAY !!! BOOBS DO NOT LOOK GOOD IN THE TUNNEL ! (The same might apply for dicks, but I wouldn't know...) No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  8. Ok, I was worried already... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  9. The hygiene question was in general. But how much longer are you using the switch when you see there's moisture and you know theres a chemical reaction happening inside ? Thanks for the pic. I also wondered what it looked like inside... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  10. Toothbrushes, pacifiers and bite/tongue switches are recommended to be exchanged for hygienic reasons at least every three months... Makes me wonder, how often do you clean your switch? No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  11. Made me wonder after reading the other switch thread... What do you use for cleaning ? Going to clean my tongue switch right now. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  12. Please don't claim for something you haven't built yet. Other tunnel manufacturers have plans or designs for larger tunnels too, but they are professional enough to not shout it out until they have signed contracts for it. BTW, this is a discussion board, advertising belongs to the classifieds (or maybe PM, if it is a direct proposal). Advertising here is a bad idea and (hopefully) might not last long... 13. Neither the german tunnel in Bottrop (under construction) nor the one planned in Empuriabrava are SkyVenture tunnels, AFAIK. Besides, the site you linked doesn't show the "planned" projects anymore. I guess they got sick of updating all the time, since there are way more tunnels planned then ever get built... 14. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3286328;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread should answer your questions... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  15. Has Airkix grown ??? When they built it, it was only 12 ft... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  16. Thanks for sharing this info, I didn't even look at the russian version of the site. Funny to see some friends at work, on a russian website...
  17. It seems the website has been running before they actually started construction. Didn't almost every new tunnel promote itself with pictures and videos of other tunnels, before it has been finished? I've received some pictures of the testing, and it looks like it's going to be a top notch tunnel. Especially the spectators area, situated one level above, is much more inviting than in Bedford. I'll post some of the pics, if my source agrees... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  18. I knew about it for a while now, but just discovered they actually have a website running... www.aerotruba.ru Test flying of the tunnel has started, but it might take a while until official opening (I heard the building construction is far from finished). Design similar to Bedford, size about Eloy. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  19. If your wingloading is accurate, it isn't as easy to sit like in a high speed tunnel (like Bedford, recirc SV's,...), but it is possible. It helps if your FF suit is not too tight. Give it a try, it's still better then sitting at the dropzone and looking at a cloudy sky... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  20. 4-way at SVO gets very tight... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  21. When I did the same thing, I borrowed a Digital8 camera from a workmate. Digital8 cameras play Video8 and Hi8 tapes, and have the advantage of a DV out. So you can just connect it to the computer and firewire the videos to your harddrive. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  22. I guess not, but ask the guy who started this thread, he might know more about it... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  23. I doubt that. Several online reviews for the TG2 state "Part No.: HDR-TG1". I guess we have to keep waiting... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  24. I used a bite switch with my old helmet. Now I have a chin cup and I find it more comfortable using a tongue switch. Never tried a blow switch either... No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
  25. Get a cheap PAL to NTSC converter. Simple adapter with power supply, small , real-time converting, but bad quality. Enough for debriefing though. Can be bought online from $20. No.1 reason NOT to be an astronaut: ...You can't drink beer at zero gravity...
