    weekend numbers

:10:0 10 4-way jumps over the weekend with a cool coach. Since me and the others were so inexperienced it made for an amusing weekend.
  3. When you are ready to take the leap ill be there. Or something corny like that.
  4. :8:0 Did a 4-way weekend where I did 8 Jumps. 2 were 3 ways because I either scared some people away or broke them. Well they broke themselves. Had a ball and can't wait to do more 4-way jumps. - 2 Jumps landing away from the pits due to a long spot. - My alti got stuck on 1000feet when under canopy. Serves me right for buying a second hand alti. - Learnt a bucket load from having my jumps video'd and jumping with good instructors. - Attended a canopy talk which was started the cogs turning.
  5. Arent most aussie jumpers overseas atm. It seems that way sometimes.
  6. I appear to have trouble downloading it. Tried a few things but im guessing either my comp or anglefire having a cry. Could someone either put on a diff site or post on skydivingmovies? thanks in advance.
  7. Grow up troll. The site gets alot of gits linking directly to the videos and this is a good way to minimise this. Unfortunatelly alot of the links are not to the good stuff but more the "opps shit there i was" kinda stuff. Jeb videos are great to watch.
  8. :5:1 4 Brels on Tuesday 1 Jump at a new dropzone, just a crazy two way.
  9. Also look at Brian Germain's site. http://www.bigairsportz.com/airlocks.php

    OZ Accident . . .

Getting off the thread here. But we have good social welfare and do get alot of medical fees paid for. If it is only $27 a year no one has a reason not to pay it. I would be interested to know more about the airlifting, if it is $30000 is this covered in the ambo fees. Also we do have homeless people in Australia.
  11. I would assume most first kiss passes are on your belly and below is any example. Also found a good unlinked freefly photo. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Personal_Galleries/SuZQflies&image=kisspass40.jpg&img=0&search=kisspass&cat=all&tt=&bool= http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1426358

    media and jumping

If the public objects to jumping so much why are there display jumps? Is this same interest why the newpaper thinks its worthy of printing a story. It appears that people are interested in seeing it as long as its not a friend/family member. Dont mind me just thinking outloud.

    OZ Accident . . .

What about the multi million dollar rescues where the navy has to get involved and get a solo sailer etc.. Btw what do people in OZ do for insurance normally to cover these costs. Just the normal abulance cover or do you have any other suggestions. Just wanted to add. It looks like the QLD chopper is not for profit so if it rescues you does it not charge? http://www.energex.com.au/community_rescue/the_service/index.html

  19. I have linked an article that did not seem too bad. http://seven.com.au/news/nationalnews/94743
  20. Hope you enjoy the ride. Welcome to the forum. Please let us know how your jump goes.
  21. Skydive Nagambie is just outside of Melbourne and it is one of the top dropzones in the country. http://www.skydivenagambie.com/ The Moruya boogie should be around the end of Feb. It is a boogie on the beach with a bunch of skydiving aussies, and run by a great group of people. This is the only boogie I will not miss next year. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1499141 Keep an eye on the APF website for new events. If I see any for Feb I will post here. http://www.apf.asn.au/Calendar/PublicCalendar.aspx I am sure you will find something to keep you amused over here in convict land.
  22. I have no intention to bring up at my DZ, the fact that I plan to BASE in the distant future. When I start skydiving again I will just happen to practice tracking, accuracy and CRW a bit more than most. Plus someone got me hooked on the thought of CRW so I probably will be doing this more than I ever thought I would at sub 300 jumps. Eventually I will probably buy a BASE rig and practice jumps from height with this on my container, but until then BASE is a distant goal, but I will keep it in mind for my skydiving progression.

    Base and Parents

    I first would like to say congrats on your first BASE. I am way off doing mine, so im kinda jealous. Threads like this (female base jumpers doing new things) always make me think of Tom's thread linked below. Normally I think that the people argueing are jealous, most of the time both parties have some valid points. Life is what you make of it and life is too short to harp on the negatives. I have one question what is the average number of skydives for people who do the first jump course on this bridge? How many skydives does this mentor normally require, if any? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=297315;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;
  24. Jasmin or anyone else who trains with tramps or board diving. I am way off doing aerial BASE, however for rehab for my leg and body awareness for normal skydiving I am looking at doing tramp or diving. Is there a reason you picked diving over tramp? Is there anything I should consider when starting diving? As I am more than a year off doing BASE and even more than that for aerials should I even bother mentioning the BASE aspect. I have said I skydive and that is one of the reasons. Do you see it would help skydiving at all. Sorry all the dumb and obvious questions, but I really do not know what to expect. And I guess it will take alot of visits to do even the simple stuff.
