  2. My grandma used to make her own absinthe during the time it was prohibided by the swiss constitution!! Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
  3. When I was younger I hitchhiked a lot. But I lived in Europe and not in the US. And possibilities here are statistically much lower to get killed or raped here. In Switzerland it’s much more difficult to get a weapon and we have much lower numbers of psychos here compared to number of habitants then in the US.. 4. look at the picture, because it looks very nice. Because it's a very traditional subject. Because the person likes dragons, Because it's a subject where you can play withcolors. Many reasons... Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
  5. I voted I'm an inexperienced BASE Jumper, I have not had an object strike. I have 40 BASE Jumps. My worst opening (heading wise) was maybe 20° so far. I also voted I have not had a strike but I know it's just a matter of time. I live in Switzerland and our objects are mainly cliffs. And I think it's an illusion if someone thinks he will never have an off heading. I thought that you can avoid off headings with neat packing and good body position until I saw Tom M. with a perfectly packed Rig, perfect Body position, 1.5 s slider down have a full 180° off the S in TF. 8. I have the chance to buy one for around 80.—USD. Has anybody got any experience if this machine is good for rigging? It says that the machine is suitable for leather and tarpaulin so I assume that Cordura should be doable. Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

Why don't we let this thread die... I see no point in going on about stickers... Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
  11. Our Dog has 3 chips. We bought him when we where living in Mexico so they implanted a Mexican Chip. Then when we decided to move back to Switzerland we had to implant an European Chip. But the idiots implanted a US chip so they could not read the chip at immigrations and we had to implant the European chip here in Switzerland. Poor thing, but I think he feels very internationally…. Leaving stickers at an exit is same way uncool as taging it with a graffiti. Why would you do this? The only consequence is that the exit gets unnecessary attention. It’s kind of childish doing this. Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

  18. QuoteI do two wraps of a medium rubberband on a 3" stow always unless under 200 feet. Why not under 200 feet? Do you think that it will delay the opening? And if yes, how many feet would you guess will you lose? Al my sub 200 feet jumps where static line and like you I also do a primary stow. I think this will not affect the time of the opening at all but will help to prevent that the lines fall out of the tailpocket before reaching line stretch. 19. Do a lot of skydiving. Try to land as accurate you can on every Skydive. In my opinion you don’t need to do 500 jumps with a 7 cell canopy (but my guess is that Sean621 is a little sensible on this matter, do to machinegun like posting of a dangerous guy…
  20. Same advice as PhreeZone has given... Ask this in BASE Zone. I'm sure this will lead to a very interesting discussion. If you want to make it even more interesting, please ad that you are interested in doing a Death Camp and ask for contact information...
  21. I like Peru, I'm there about 4 weeks a year for business. Best food in Latin America, variety wise. Did you ever eat guinea pigs (Cuy)? The best ones you get in Arequipa! Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

  23. So true, I ate almost nothing but army cookies and army chocolate during my survival week in the Swiss army. I could not shit for a week until the last day. It’s been 14 years ago and I still have not beaten that record (in means of weight and length) until today. I still remember sitting in the woods and thinking that this feeling must come very close to what a women feels giving birth to a child…
  24. You didn’t list any of the real good chocolate brands from Switzerland: Lindt Suchard Toblerone Cailler Swiss Army Chocolate And many more. By the way, Swiss Chocolate is between 12.5 and 14 times better than Belgian Chocolate. The bad thing of living in the country where the make the best Chocolate in the World is that if you work abroad the chocolate you get there sucks compared to the Swiss chocolate
