I did not mean to say that Cancun is a bad place to do something cultural. You can visit some beautiful pyramids close by. But Cancun is a rip of. Prices as very high and it like not leaving the US at all. Cancun is a place where you can do "Wild on" style or "Spring break" style type of vacations. If you wana see Mexico don't go to Cancun or Acapulco. Cancun is not Mexico. They don't accept Pesos in most places; you have to pay in dollar... Cancun has 95% US Citizens and 5% Mexicans (some bartenders etc.) But if you want to make holyday outside of the US, but feel as never left the US, Cancun or Acapulco is great. For me this is not just a mistake. He was not running, he even took his time to get a free newspaper, he sat down in the metro, he had not the kind of jacket that they told he was wearing and he got shot in the head 7 times. I think the possibility to pass out in freefall is extremely limited (except that you are a person who passes away often in normal live, then definitely skydiving, driving a car, pilot etc is not for you). But as mentioned above, in the very unlike case that you pass out, you still have the chance to survive if you jump with an AAD, which I think is obligatory for students in the US. Absinth was prohibited in Switzerland by our constitution! But I think since last year or so it's allowed again. My grandparents come from a part of Switzerland where Absinth was very popular and always brewed Absinth during the years of probation for there own use. I would not drink shots of Absinth, I prefer to enjoy it. When drinking it fast, you can observe yourself getting drunk in very little time. I had to hurry up drinking Absinth once because everybody else wanted to go and 5 minutes later I felt getting drunk... If you want to drink it the XXX way, you put a sugar cube on a spoon, put some Absinth over it, light it, let it burn a few seconds, then mix it with the Absinth already in the glass, let it burn 30 seconds always steering it, and then drink it. On jump 375 I wanted to do a 180 front riser approach. I looked if nobody is in the way and reached for my loops. I missed the left one and had to find it. I lost about 3 to 4 seconds, and pulled the front riser down. During this few seconds I did not observe the landing area another canopy also hooked in. I found myself about 20 feet behind and around 10 feet above the other canopy. Fortunately everything went well. Lesson learned: Always check your air space immediately before doing a HP landing. I had to follow a knocked out skydiver down and all I could think is I hope he has a Cypres. He had one, landed unconscious woke up from the landing impact, stayed two nights in the hospital and was fit again 4 days later.. I'm glad I have a Cypres but from time to time, if the night before was a bit wilder then it should have been, I forget to turn on my Cypres. But I would never ride the plain down because of this.
