    Ryan Job - Fallen SEAL

Very sad; I feel for his widow and mom. What an inspiration, judging by those articles... -And amazingly, we grew up just about 2 miles from each other. Wow...I don't recognize the sir name though, and he is a bit younger than I am. Hope his family recovers well. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Mike I don't have words to express how much I wish I could offer some comfort... Indeed, something no parent should have to go through... My prayers are with all of you. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

    Leap for Lupus Boogie 2008

I was happy to be there and see you all. Little Jaleesa got to see one group of jumpers (the tandems) before we got drenched, so she was happy.

    Leap for Lupus Boogie 2008

I'm pushing to be out there by 2pm today. Hope the weather is better over there than it is over here. -I can't jump, so don't expect to see me with gear -unless someone is short a helmet or alti or something. If that's the case, call me on my cell and I'll bring my extras...(NWFlyer & Valinda have my #). I don't have a complete rig any more or I'd bring that. I just have the Icon with no canopies. Come to think of it, I was gonna let Roo try on my harness...ok I'll bring it if I can find all of the pieces. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

    Passenger with autism

I think the hard part initially would be getting ear plugs in (they don't like things touching their ears) then it would take about 3 times of screaming and thrashing and the 4th they would be all into it. That's how everything is...it's very hard to get them 'used to' something in public. People think we're torturing them. We can't explain anything to the boys, as they have no verbal communication (well, very VERY limited) so we have to drag them down the big slides kicking and screaming until they 'get it'. Then you can't keep 'em off of 'em. Sounds like the OP's passenger was high functioning, but getting a low functioning autistic into a wind tunnel might be so freeing to them...they love the water. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Absolutely, I couldn't imagine anyone we'd have more confidence in. -now if we could only get a wind tunnel up here in the NW.... ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

    Passenger with autism

cndo pointed me over here to your thread...very cool. I have ten year old twin sons with severe Autism. It's encouraging to see other autistics overcoming. All the prep you did -what an amazing thing. Thank you so much for taking the time to help that kid. That's awesome. Our sons have such severe and unpredictable issues that skydiving won't be in their future until we make a major breakthrough; but some day we do hope to make it possible for them to try a wind tunnel. When we do, I sure hope to find someone that's just half as concerned with their safety and happiness as you were for your passenger. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

    Skinnyshrek's Ashdive... attempt # 3 this June

-Well?!?! Did it go?!?!? Is the weather ok over on that side o' the country? It's just amazingly blue and beautiful over here...hope it is over there, too. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
