Signs Someone Is Trolling It can sometimes become difficult to tell the difference between a troll and someone who just genuinely wants to argue about a topic. However, here are a few tell-tale signs that someone is actively trolling. Refusal to acknowledge evidence: Even when presented with hard, cold facts, they ignore this and pretend like they never saw it. Dismissive, condescending tone: An early indicator of a troll was that they would ask an angry responder, “Why you mad, bro?” This is a method done to provoke someone even more, as a way of dismissing their argument altogether. Seeming obliviousness: They seem oblivious that most people are in disagreement with them. Also, trolls rarely get mad or provoked. How Should I Handle Them? The most classic adage regarding trolling is, “Don’t feed the trolls.” Trolls seek out emotional responses and find provocation amusing, so replying to them or attempting to debate them will only make them troll more. By ignoring a troll completely, they will likely become frustrated and go somewhere else on the internet. You should try your best not to take anything trolls say seriously. No matter how poorly they behave, remember these people spend countless unproductive hours trying to make people mad. They’re not worth your time of day. https://www.howtogeek.com/465416/what-is-an-internet-troll-and-how-to-handle-trolls/

America rising again. -trump is gone. - America is looking at a bipartisan infrastructure bill. One that trump promised but that republicans never even brought to a vote. -the pandemic is finally looking like its over. The CDC speaks the truth again absent political interference. -unemployment 4.6% with consumer spending at record levels. As more and more people can finally enjoy life. -trump says stock markets will crash if he loses election. Instead the market jumped 500 points the day he was defeated. Roll forward to today and the markets are up 33% from the day the scourge of trumpism was ended. -President Biden is far more popular than trump at the same time of their respective offices."The national poll, conducted Nov. 9-10, found that 46% of U.S. adults approved of Biden’s performance in office, while 49% disapproved and the rest were not sure. Biden’s approval numbers have hovered below 50% since August. At the same point in Donald Trump’s presidency, about 37% of Americans approved of his performance in office, while 58% disapproved."

Given that the majority of voting Americans have voted for the party of progressive politics at every national election since '08 but have been saddled with conservatives in control of some or all of the government for that whole time, it seems extremely unlikely that your hypothesis is correct.

Hi Mods, This is getting a little tiresome. Maybe a time-out might be appropriate? Jerry Baumchen PS) And, yes, a no comment post should be removed.

I bet they’re popular in Texas since they can also provide power to your home during an outage.

Right. But here we have a case of a single system (Icon) having a problem at a single loft (the one in the video.) In addition, we have seen the problem of unidentified pieces falling out of the container during opening, generally indicating a rigging problem rather than a design problem. In the US we had some problems with Racers along similar lines. It wasn't one loft but it was a small number of them who had serious problems getting them packed and functional. This was generally traced to the fact that Racers are packed differently than many other rigs out there, and riggers were just plain making mistakes. The training was out there - Jump Shack did a "how to pack a Racer" course at pretty much every PIA show there was, and the training was readily available both in the manual and on line. Was that the fault of the Racer or the rigger? The riggers involved insisted it was Jump Shack's fault. Jump Shack (John and Nancy primarily) insisted it was the rigger's fault. Racers certainly CAN be packed and operated safely, and have been used for decades. So who was at at fault there? Sounds like there may be a similar issue here.

It looks like we have some more information about that D. B. Cooper movie that the Rolling Stone article with Tina Mucklow revealed near the start of the year. https://deadline.com/2021/11/nod-if-you-understand-amber-sealey-to-direct-thriller-on-db-cooper-hijacking-1234876249/ Both Tina and Bill are consulting it seems.

Hi Keith, Re: I don't trust polls where I can't read the questions to determine bias. As an engineer & a guy who loved his Statistics class, I am 100% with this. Jerry Baumchen

Oh, but Brenthutch is a true mastermind when it comes to percentages!!!!

Better question. Why does this only seem to happen to Icons, in France, at this specific loft? That would lead me to believe that someone needs to have their packing investigated.

Well, first of all - it's a bullshit poll. I don't trust polls where I can't read the questions to determine bias. And, my favorite thing about this particular poll is: Look down at the bottom - that 70% is an average of percentages. I'm not a fan of that methodology: https://www.robertoreif.com/blog/2018/1/7/why-you-should-be-careful-when-averaging-percentages

Because there are trump supporters that don't own homes. Therefore they have missed out on skyrocketing property values. Although they will complain in the coffee shops about increasing property taxes associated with that. Because there are trump supporters that don't believe in 401k plans so they have missed out on the 33% rise in US equity markets. Instead they "invest" in guns and more ammo. Because they all tend to drive gas guzzling 4x4 trucks, look with scorn on Prius and EV drivers. So a few pennies more per gallon upsets them. Because they have their noses so far up Rupert Murdoch's ass. They can't smell the roses of an American renaissance. I'm sorry to say Brent, but neither can you.

Even now most attempts at passing progressive policies are being blocked in the Senate and drastically anti-progressive rulings are being made in the Supreme Court, whose makeup is the opposite of what the American people have consistently wanted for well over a decade. Again, it's highly unlikely to the point of absurdity that your hypothesis is correct.

I can't be bothered to watch the video. Does this Icon also come with unidentified metal bits falling out after the hesititation - like in the last video your crew posted?

Hi My Name is Dan Johnson I had the pleasure of teaching Tom his First Jump Course at Pepperell. He was a fantastic student. You show him the dive and he would practice it until jump time. We combined Level 4&5, because he was so on it. So sorry for your loss.

The tide is turning, Phil. This next generation joined the NRA cause their mothers & fathers belonged to it. Since about the late 1990's those kids realized that it wasn't an educational organization, but a lobbying firm and started turning elsewhere. There's been a big influx of joining your local gun range and doing regional "meets." Plus you get more out of your local gun range - training, weapons education, storage, safety, etc. In time, the NRA will cease to exist.

You incorrectly assume antivaxxers care about any of that. Most probably havent even considered it because they are too busy arguing points about how natural immunity is the best immunity, the vaccine hasent been tested well enough, and Covid isint that big of a deal anyway. I think it's safe to say if someone isint concerned about covid enough to get vaccinated to protect themselves, they sure as hell arnt going to do it for someone else.

Something that just occurred to me, reading Jerry's response (which is more or less the same as mine): Can a President give orders to a civilian? He's Commander in Chief of the military, so he can give orders to them and expect them to be obeyed, but does he have any REAL authority over civilians? I don't think so. I mean, he can give orders to his people, and some of them have authority over me (cops, Secret Service, ect), but I don't think I have to obey a direct order from the President. If so, a LOT of those people willing to obey Trump will be rather offended that they have to obey Biden. Or would have had to obey Obama.

We've covered Ivermectin already. Others have covered most of the others. I'll cover this one: "Vaccinated or unvaccinated, one can be a spreader." That is true, just as drunk or not, you can kill someone with your car. Still, if your goal is to NOT kill anyone with your car, avoiding drunk driving is the hot ticket. Getting vaccinated significantly reduces your odds of spreading COVID. So does masking. So does distancing. So does testing. If, using all those things, Re gets below 1, the pandemic is over.

The fact that the cops behaved in an unprofessional manner is unacceptable. I've been in many places where there was every bit as much of an us/them divide between the cops and the locals that had nothing to do with race. Making it all about race is racist, and BLM is 100% racist. If you're okay with that, fine. I'm not. BSBD, Winsor

I guess you're too young to get the Rodney King reference. According to Science, the earth IS flat. Kansas, at least, is topographically flatter than a pancake. On a bigger scale, that model begins to break down. Why do you assume that I am hesitant to "allow folks to examine their history openly and honestly?" I recommend that you visit Thomas Sowell's discussion of slavery and check his references. What makes you think that I do not understand CRT?' Doing the barest modicum of homework on the claims contained therein makes abundantly clear that it is based on a massively flawed model, and contingent upon verifiable falsehoods at every layer. I consider racial discrimination to be reprehensible, whether it is 'good' or 'bad' discrimination. I do not accept anything other than equal rights and equal responsibilities, no more and no less. If that meets your definition of 'racist,' whatever. BSBD, Winsor
