Dude, you are so out of touch with the world it beggars description. You play the “kids” card like you have any idea about kids. You don’t. Today we had a great time with kids. At around 11AM they started paddling past our boat (think spaceship) in dugout canoes on their way to school. School here is six days a week 12 till 5. On the way home they had time to stop and talk in a few different languages and share their days. It was amazing again today and will be for more days. They were all kneeling in dugout canoes with a few inches of water in the bottom telling us what they learned that day. Later an adult offered us the chance to visit the school. Tomorrow we will. Nothing teaches you more about the world or yourself than travel. You need to get out.

Why do we not ask this question to Congress???? It's THEIR flipping job! They would rather continue to use this as a dividing spear of fear than actually work to resolve it. It seems to be working as desired.

When I came to the USA in 1977 it was undoubtedly the leading nation in just about every category I can think of, Even throwing off its racist past with the civil rights acts. Now in the interests of corporate profit we have exported jobs and technology primarily to Asia. And surely the most fundamental job of a nation is to look after the well being of its people. The USA has declining life expectancy, the worst infant mortality of any western nation, the worst maternal mortality of any western nation, the worst murder rate of any western nation, the most expensive health care "system" of any western nation, and a gerrymandered political system that enables a minority party to stymie any attemps to correct the above problems.

So, you'd rather we treat POWs who've killed American soldiers better than illegal immigrants? What in the holy fuck is wrong with you.

For shits and grins, I think I found the referenced story after some googling: "CBS Mortgage Revamp". Within the CBS article, it says that the change "is causing consternation among some mortgage professionals". It's evidence for this consternation is a New York Post article, linked from the main article. Bottom line is that this doesn't do what your media sources say it does. There are specific cases where a high credit score borrower could pay more than they do today, and some where they could pay less. The change will have winners and losers (from what I can see, the winners outnumber the losers, as should be the case in policy changes). Right-wing media instinctively jumps on this to paint the losers as "Joe Everyman being screwed by Biden", and gullible followers jump on the red meat.

I’m publishing the story of Jet Dragon Project – development of jet powered wingsuit system. It took 3.5 years, over 5000 work hours, and tens of aborted jump attempts, until first successful flight several weeks ago. During development I consulted many people, including dear fellow late Jarno Cordia, who had previous experience with jet powered wingsuit flight. However the new system was actually designed from scratch. January 2020 After initial assessment and reading publications on the web, I decided to use two P400-Pro jet turbines from JetCat. Each can product 400N thrust, so total will be 800N. According to calculations it is supposed to be more than enough for level flight, with approximately 25% extra power to allow climbing up. After receiving turbines several weeks later I assembled simple setup to see how it runs. First I checked that it responds to throttle commands - Then run it on the bench -

Damn, fate can be so cruel; Ed White has left us. Apparently, Mimi found him last night (Sunday May 30), after a heart attack or ...? Ed, Ed, Ed, how can you expect us to just carry on? You were always the heart of the party, the light of the group, you infectiously enlivened everyone who was near to you, with your effervescent love for life. It was a pleasure to have you in my life, thank you.

Updates on the flight - All engines were started, but three engines showed enough out-of-limits indications that they were shut down. That meant they were at 30 engines which is the minimum for takeoff. There is no evidence of debris damage to the vehicle so far. (from all the debris kicked up due to the disintegration of the concrete pad.) 27 seconds into flight, engine 19 lost communications due to an "energetic event" that also blew the heat shields off four other engines. From that point on there was a fire in that area, but the other engines kept running. At 85 seconds they lost hydraulic control of the engines and thus lost the ability to steer. They sent the FTS command (self-destruct) and the FTS fired but did not destroy the vehicle. It kept running for another 40 seconds before it finally blew up. The loss of hydraulic control was likely due to damage caused by engine 19 blowing up.

FIFY. Great message he's sending - according to a former twitter executive, "such a threat should be alarming to any business operating on the site, since it indicates that acquiescing to Musk's every whim may be necessary in order to avoid being impersonated."

Sounds like it would be more accurate to say that all fees are going up, but they are going up less on high credit score borrowers than on low credit score borrowers. Which (still) harms low credit score borrowers to a greater degree, and gives the advantage to high credit score borrowers. Just not as much as it did previously.

Perhaps the USA needs ordinances limiting the hours that you can shoot outside. Write the ordinances similar to hunting regulations that limit shooting between sun-down and sun-rise. These limited hours reduce the number of random "sound" shots and accidental shootings. They also discourage the use of bright lights to stun deer. Also consider that most municipalities have ordinances that forbid loud noises - outdoors - after "X" o'clock. Gun fire should be treated the same way. Finally, given the current gun culture in the USA current attitudes are so deeply entrenched that they cannot be changed within the lifetime of the current generation. We are going to have to wait until the current generation of gun owners die off - from natural causes - before you can make fundemental changes.
