With only 120 jumps? I hope not. The cut corners should be fine for any type of jump though.... www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Your right Steve. It's fun trying to be good in all aspects of wingsuit flying.

Here is what I told him. What part of that did you misunderstand? www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Surprisingly enough, getting long flights sometimes even means you are good! Nope, no typo. I have seen people that can get very slow speeds in a wingsuit, but cant fly or flock with anyone else because all they know how to do is get out and spread the wings. Total control and manueverabilty makes a good wingsuit flyer. Not everyone weighs the same or has the surface area so they need to adjust their fallrate same as you would in RW. The guy that is 6' 150lb and has the wingspan of a 747 can probably get some realy slow speeds, but if he is going to get on some good fun flocking dives with people heavier and/or shorter than him, he'd better know how to have total control of his suit or he will be doing solo's 100's of feet higher than his buddies flocking below him. Be safe. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

You probably dont "suck". Kevin probably weighs less than you, is taller than you, and was jumping his S3? Getting the longest flights doesn't always mean you suck in a wingsuit. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Ditto to all they just explained to you.

Did you attend a pre-coarse yet? Just something you might want to think about before going.......... Good luck. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Canopy Traffic, Obstacles and Decisions
bodypilot1 replied to StearmanR985's topic in Safety and Training
I think it was a good lesson learned Jeff. Luckily you made it through it with out getting hurt. Try not to fly over anything you dont wish to land on. As you've been told NEVER fly over the freeway and there was no need to. Luckily you seen the guy when you did, and remember you dont always get to land in the nice green grass area. If your set up is a left hand pattern you should be turning in for your final about 80 yards from the road, NEVER over the road. And if you were flying any smaller canopy you might have not had the chance to make the decision you made. Glad your ok from this experience though. Be safer... www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
It's something about doing the most tandems from 18000ft. Do they even do tandems out there still? www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
