  1. Sad that there wasn't any beneficial camcorders for the skydiving world this year, hopefully next year will be different! For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  2. Speaking as a person who stuffed the hell out of my container INITIALLY there are a few facts that I would like to make either clear or redundant. When first purchasing the rig I confirmed on the sizing chart that it would fit, but extremely tight fit. Needless to say I was oblivious to the danger that I created on the reserve perhaps inducing a hesitation and putting additional un-needed stress on the fabric and seems as well as making packing a pain in the ass. Secondly, I believe I speak for quite a few people here that skydivers in general like to "get the most bang for their buck" as do most people that go to buffet restaurants and stuff themselves sick. With that being said I state the obvious and redundant: If people's mentality is such why spend MORE money for another brand new rig later down the line when you could just SAVE money and keep the new rig now but overstuff it for future downsizing (if they so choose to do so). Education is key in this aspect Lastly, I believe when we know, see or hear of people ordering brand new rigs perhaps we should chat with them and enlighten them regarding the safety issue and potential consequences regarding overstuffing a rig & how difficult it would be to pack as well, as not as many people read DZ as they do skydive. ------------------------------------------------------------ Going back to the OP original post/question As long as you are BELOW the Max weight you are fine jumping it....at least this applies to the U.S Now just because you don't max out a 99 sq ft reserve doesn't mean you should jump it, but of course all up to what you deem is safe and appropriate size & WL Hope this helps! Be safe & HAVE FUN! For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  3. Few months later and no sign of video....never happened then I suppose For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

  5. That was my plan actually. They won't notice, right? Not until the 1st point. Unless he's been a tunnel rat then everyone will know by his lack of canopy skills For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

    Micron

First off, I am a person that thoroughly researches and reads each and every minute detail down to nitty gritty. Then and only then with months and months of constant research, asking around instructors/friends and comparing different rigs in person I came to the conclusion that the Vector3 Micron is absolute pinnacle of modern skydiving rigs. Lastly you also have to understand that the person who developed and made skydiving what it is today (3 ring, pull out, skyhook etc) is Bill Booth the founder of UPT! With all that being said I purchased a brand new Vector 3 Micron and picked it up during the very first skydive Expo down in DeLand FL. I can not even begin to explain how comfortable the rig hangs off of your shoulders and around your back with the 3D spacer foam along with the correct measurement of course. Loaded up with all the options(Magnetic riser covers, Skyhook, Spectra ripcord etc...) I KNOW for a fact that there is no rig better, more comfortable, safer, and well developed/tested other than the Vector3 Micron of UPT. Hands down the BEST rig and manufacturer out there. Note: I am not a representative of UPT nor do I work for them in any form, just a highly satisfied customer!
  7. Thank you! Finally someone corrects this material which many people seem to have been incorrectly informed about the right terminology/fabric regarding this material For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

  9. It's coming out SOON according to Mirage......and they've been saying that for a few years now....... it's not called a skyhook but they call it DRX or sth of the sorts. Just get a Vector3 or Javelin or Icon if you want skyhook ....preferably the Vector3 since it was the first skydiving rig with the skyhook For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  10. So I'm guessing it was the same guy that was looking to buy a 99 ish sq ft reserve with such low jump #'s....and here I thought it sounded so desperate in classifieds he was joking especially with his jump number's. Sad to see that it was actually true, but glad he's not jumping the katana 97 since obviously he needed 50 more jumps to be qualified jk For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  11. Correction: The 281sq ft PD-Reserve has a max weight of 300lbs NOT 312lb Also the PD Silhouette-260 has a max weight of 312 NOT 336. You must of just got some numbers confused For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  12. It all comes down to what handle YOU are most comfortable with i would say. With that being said I have soft puds for BOTH cutaway and reserve. For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  13. Interview with Roberta......apparently it's VERY dangerous to open your mouth and breath while flying For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

  16. You could perhaps just be leaning in your harness way to the right along with your right break lines being a bit twisted therefore being slightly shorter than your left side. Just some thoughts For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  17. gopro mount looks incorrectly secured.....and it's facing her tits and not face? Wait..... that's not wrong though! Something to do with his risers+3rings? Too blurry to tell plus of course the huge cookie sticker blinding his vision on his helmet For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  18. My first rig @ 36jumps I bought brand new custom V3 Micron 308 for me and fits like a glove. Bought brand new main canopy from PD--Pulse 150 to be exact....now sabre2 120 with room to downsize Bought brand new Optimum Reserve from PD--OP-143....now OP126 Bought brand new Vigil II Somehow worked out for me since I'm on the smaller side 5'7 125lb and was able to downsize a reasonable amount and still have room to downsize after 350+jumps later. Should last me at least 300+ more jumps. 750 jumps for a first rig I think is great! For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

  21. I went with a Optima as an audible as I think it pairs well with my N3 as a wrist mount and a altitrak on my mudflap. Can't go wrong with the Optima 2 For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  22. Perhaps if the issue is more prevalent now due to the smaller size of the container perhaps you could later on sell your current container and buy one that will still support your canopies, but be thinner and longer therefore reducing you having to reach less "far" up on your rig! Reducing as much strain as much as possible is key For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  23. Would you mind stating what manufacturer sent brand new rigs with closing loops like those? Not seeking to bash any company of any sort, but would simply like no know For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
  24. I think not. JerryBaumchen Mirage has been close to their own version of skyhook for quite a few years now!.....Any year now! For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
