Here's THE website to look at if you're interested in prices and altitude! Feel free to update the prices if they are outdated or such http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp I understand your situation as well since I jump at a DZ that costs $45 USD to 10k in a 172 or 40min ride to altitude. Which is why its CHEAPER for me to do 100 jumps at Lodi PLUS the 21hr plane ride/ticket than to do 50 jumps here. Ducati 1199 - 195hp and 98.1 ft lbs of torque BWM S1000RR - 193 hp and 83 ft lbs of torque Can you say new king of superbikes?! Packvolume: Comp. Velo 71 in Micron 304?
mchamp replied to mar.rei's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hopefully someone jumping a comp velo 71 would know where to find the appropriate sizing chart, but it seems that he's asking whether or not he can "get away with it" whether it'd be for Hop n Pops or Freeflying. You're 8 sq ft too small to fit in the "loose fitting" category as I hope you already knew. http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/PDF/CHART_00037___Rig_Sizing_Chart_11_28_58(1).pdf For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -
What I'm also curious about is if there is any way of creating an appropriate pilot chute size/fabric chart paired with correctly sized canopies? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Many thanks for that info Jerry! Apparently I semi-predicted what PD was going to discuss on one of their newly released videos as well ! haha http://vimeo.com/36038426 11:03 For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

First off, I love gear!!.....It fascinates me and I enjoy understanding it along with how the small details, changes, and modifications can improve upon things. So listening to Skydive Radio episode 164 (31:20) got me thinking about pilot chute material, sizes, and choices (about to change mine soon). I did do a search and read many articles, but all was info from 2002 aka 10yrs ago and I'm sure many opinions and preferences have changed since then. According to Brian Germain he always uses F-111 for his pilot chute. Sure it doesn't last as long as ZP but he said the following..."ZP slips out too easily, and all the evidence points to the conclusion that the openings are better, more on heading and fewer line twists with f-111 pilot chutes. PD came to the same conclusion"......"Zero P is slicker than snot on a glass door knob" -Brian Germain So with that being said, I'm curious as to the following: What SIZE pilot chute and MATERIAL do you use paired with what size canopy? What kind of "quality" do you look for in a pilot chute? What/whose brand do you use/prefer? Leading cause of death in skydiving
mchamp replied to decompresion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Apparently the average skydive lasts only 45 seconds....they must either be jumping from a small cessna dropzone or they're freeflyer's For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp -
Options are down below for visual reference. Oh and also nowadays some offer freefly hackey For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Been rather tired of waiting for a new sony camcorder that would do justice for skydiving. Really don't want to buy an older camera that costs just about the same price as a new model (even in ebay cx-150) So in light of that anyone care to comment on the 2012 sony camcorder lineup? Would any of them work? DSE? For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Cookie G2 discontinued and replaced with the G3
mchamp replied to davevans's topic in Gear and Rigging
It's officially winter....anyone that has a G3 have any fogging issues during this winter season?? I would give my 2 cents and review, but fortunately its 85 and sunny where I recently just moved to and never gets below 70 ever so fogging isn't an issue -
Neon colors for a rig fade rather quickly so if you plan on customizing your brand new rig that you plan on keeping for a while then maybe take neon colors out of the equation.... BUT it does look absolutely stunning for the first year or so. Just don't jump in dry dusty locations, never PLF (for the sake of your rig) jk and always pack out of the sun For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

It was NOT PF who posted it to their page, but I was the one who posted it on their page, my apologies. Simply passing along what the jumper had stated. For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Awwww yea buddy and congrats, you'll definitely enjoy her! And jumpsalot-2 its indeed May as UPT has a very high demand therefore long production time, BUT they are building a new 10,000sq ft building ! If you want a custom made Rolls-Royce you're going to have to wait a while for the luxury and quality built car For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Still newer as well but.... Focused on the knowledge and maintenance of gear....especially after I hooked up my slinks incorrectly (looped once not twice) on a new canopy.... Also concentrated on canopy work with MULTIPLE canopy courses taken which has really helped improve many skills and maneuvers that I never even thought of to do/perform. edit to add: Hanging around the DZ after hrs a lot really gained an immense amount of knowledge from instructors and other very experienced jumpers. The Tonfly looks sick. I have a Tonfly Converter helmet that is bad ass. The only thing I see that may be a problem is it comes from Slovakia. What if it doesn't fit? ....it will have to go all the way back to Slovakia. It might be worth it though. Actually Sonic from the Ranch (in New York) is now a Tonfly dealer and the only one in the United States. http://www.tonflyusa.com/ For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

I am trying to plan my Spring Break vacation down in Florida - trying to decide between Skydive City and Skydive Sebastian. I am very newly A-licensed and looking to spend most of my break skydiving. (March 23-April 1). Any thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks! Try and go to Skydive Expo down in DeLand if you can, its one amazing event where you can talk to almost all the manufacturers about their products and MANY GREAT FREE SEMINARS to learn things from the best many of the top people in the sport! I had 35jumps last time I went so no worries about just being a newly licensed skydiver! April 3-8 though but perhaps some classes could be skipped haha https://www.facebook.com/SkydiveExpo & http://SkydiveExpo.com/ For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp

Haven't used one yet, but thinking about getting one of these which also has a cutaway system implemented. Has anyone bought anything from this place?
