  1. I saw the SkyHawks break one about that low, all I could think was "I'm NEVER doing that shit!"
  2. if you're gonna be on the outside, there is no replacement for having the right suit.
  3. Gators cost about $25, you'll spend a LOT more in the tunnel to get the same effect ;) Slow suit, good idea, dosen't have the stigma attached to it that a sweatshirt does and it's cooler in the summer. Don't think the helmet will get you much for the $$. Skills help too, in another couple thousand jumps the suit won't matter as much
  4. And what if the rig is not equiped with an RSL?
  5. Good try guys! Sorry about the weather.
  6. Start here: http://www.makeithappen.com/spsj/index.html
  7. you are having network communication interruptions.
  8. I'd probably still be barefoot waterskiing every weekend. I wouldn't be a member of the "Heavy Metal" club. I wouldn't be putting pictures of bigways on the wall.
  9. 1) What is the probable reason that you have a downplane? (HINT, 2out) 2) What it the most likely reason that you have 2 canopies? (HINT, Cypres fire) 3) What is the most likely reason you had a Cypres fire? (HINT, you were low) So you're low, probably having lost altitude awareness and only seconds from impact, JUST CHOP THE FUCKING DOWNPLANE!
  10. Good Luck Jim. Tell the fellas I wish I could be there.
  11. About 350 was the lowest (She was on my plane), however that person had previously participated in BigWay records. The thing I am most concerned about with people that have low numbers participating in big ways (even if they have massive tunnel time) is awareness under canopy and ability to deal with shit if it goes all bad. Then again high numbers don't guarantee those skills either
  12. It won't matter much until you want to start flying with others.
  13. Group II got it FIRST (one dolla please ;) Group II got it on the FIRST try ('nother dolla please ;)
  14. When I travel to events I might check my rig, but I ALWAYS carry on my jumpsuits!
  15. Some rigs have "articulated" chest straps that are sewn around rings that are attached to the main lift web.
  16. Suck it up buttercup, welcome to the big shit. At least you weren't on the 100way load that landed in a 5kt downwind the next weekend
  17. Be lazy like us "real" chiefs and get a mandolin. http://www.chefdepot.net/mandoline.htm?gclid=CJ6Ey824pJMCFQ4UiQodrU5S5A
  18. I personally are happier with a SabreII than the Stiletto
  19. then you would have a dragplane not a downplane.
  20. Great, does this mean I'm stuck in the base on your jumps from now on?
