I"ve had extended house guests, some lasted 5 years, I've hosted (literally) THOUSANDS of skydivers. But the worst ever was a lazy, no good worthless nephew, who lived in my house for 5 months. Refused to work, ran up my phone bill, drank a 30 year collection of various boozes, stole cash, smoked indoors when asked not to, and told me I "worked like a NIG%#$" and that he never intended to work that hard. I told him that he was evicted, and when he whined that he had no place to go, I told him that after he spent several months under a bridge, he may learn what our hard work had provided for him. I was lucky enough to meet a man and woman who escaped from East Germany as the wall was being constructed. Their children were naturally German speaking. When we were little kids, we got to have "pop". A family of six kids, once every two weeks. My mom would buy a 6 pack of Pepsi, and we six kids got to split it, and it LASTED for 2 weeks. Needless to say, we didn't drink much soda. Amazingly, I am diabetic, as are 3 of my 5 siblings. We didn't drink soda, and we are still stuck! Oh yea, my mom and dad were both diabetic, too. I had a fire at my business. It burned the third floor off. Big holes in the roof, dripping water down three floors, falling plaster, windows on the third floor blown out. Carpet on floors 1 and 2 singed from burning debris being hauled thru the hallways. Yea, a broken door would have really pissed me off. skydiveTaylorville.org [email protected]

When I met my father in law he told me how old he was, and that his life was basically over. He sat in a rocker for 35 years, and by god he finally died. He out lived his wife who was a go getter, hard worker, into everything kind of person. I know that she had the better life, even if it wasn't as long. [ *Edited to add - I just clicked on the original story. They've now changed it to "made an emergency landing" rather than "crashed" as originally reported. I think that was because of the people complaining about the sensationalizim they were attempting to claim about a B-17 crashing in the Chicago suburbs. We stamped all of the 1$ bills at the WFFC and lots of other bills if we had time. Same reason. Some people in Quincy or Rantoul were saying "Damn skydivers" but when they pulled their wallets out, we would show them, that the money that they had been given in change by the grocery store, laundry mat, gas station or restaurant had been first spent their by a skydiver. I went out to eat in New Orleans with a group of about 12 people. We all had pretty much the same thing, except for 1 couple who opted for the salad that was ONE dollar cheaper than the rest of us. We split the bill evenly, and the husband whined for about 3 blocks as we were walking back to the hotel (all 11 of us were really tired of it at this point) I pulled a buck out of my pocket and gave it to him.
