  1. Anyone know where I can find a 5/8" gauge kit for a Juki LUH 520/521? A complete kit is great, but just the needle plate would be a huge help. Danke Mucho. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  2. An I33 will hold most standard bulk 135-150 canopies. A 150 non-ZPX Pilot would be a little tight since Pilots pack a bit bigger than other manufacturer's canopies of the same square footage. So a ZPX 150 will fit just fine. A 7 cell canopy will have a smaller pack volume compared to a 9 cell because the 7 cell has less fabric and fewer lines. So I would expect the Tri to pack smaller. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  5. Looks like you have an air gap to connect your dish washer. Any pressure created by the plunger will leak through the air gap. I never suggest using drain cleaner through a garbage disposal. Your best bet is to remove the p-traps & trap arm and use a 1/4" or 3/8' diameter snake to clean the drain pipe. It will be cheaper to buy the snake than pay for the plumber to do the same thing. Just make sure you lay down a drop cloth when you pull the snake out of the pipe. Also have new gaskets/slip joint washers when you reconnect the trap arm and p-traps. Reusing old ones often will have them leak. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

I've seen every episode of Barney Miller. Fish was such a great straight man for the rest of the cast. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  9. One way to have your brake lines get short quickly is allowing the brake lines to twist and then not removing the twist. When lines twist, they get shorter. For spectra lines, when the slider rides down the lines, the lines heat up causing them to shrink. Add these two situations together and now the slider is heating up twisted lines setting that twist as permanent. Meaning, much shorter brake lines. You can't prevent the slider from heating the lines. But you can keep your lines from having lots of twists. Two things you can do. Once you take the toggles out of the keepers, don't let go of them. If you hold the toggles, and stow them when you land, there is no way for them to twist. You might add a half twist depending on which way you rotate the brake line to stow your toggle. At the end of each day of jumping, I run the brake line and remove what minor twist might be there. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  10. The fix depends on the location of the line shrinkage. Check the lines against the trim chart. If it is just the brake line and not the entire line set, replacing the section(s) between the cascade and the toggle is easy and not costly. If the entire line set is on the short side, a full line change might be in order. Practicing fronts with an out of trim canopy just gives you experience with a misperforming canopy. No need for that. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  11. One thing to watch for on that machine. The hinges in the access door on the side of the head are delicate and break easily. Don't slam the door. Close it gently. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  12. Walked some doggies at the local shelter, saw a movie, then had a lovey dinner with my sweetie. Tried a new pickled cabbage recipe that called for chili paste. Didn't have any, so used Sriracha instead. Great combo of flavors with the vinegar. Added apples and white onion as well. Good that meal, even better the next day for breakfast. 50 donations so far. 13. For a low cost starter, a Singer 401 or 500 are wonderful machines. Can be found for under $100 and parts are cheap. I have had or still own a Singer 20U, Pfaff 138 and Bernina 217. I like each model for different reasons. Singer had wide zigzag and decent pushing power. Wasn't as smooth running as other two machines. Maintaining thread tension could be an issue. Pfaff is strongest of the three, only minor negative is reverse level that you lift instead of push down. Bernina is the smoothest running of the three. Mine has the cam drive so you can also do 308 stitch and other decorative stitches. Not quite as much brute strength as the 138. Spare parts on the Pfaff and Bernina are pricy. But if you keep them oiled and adjusted, they will run forever. The Consew 199 is one of the few walking foot zigzags. Not too common used and tend to be pricey. I have no experience with the Sailrite machines. They are the size of a home machine with more power. Jankowski has one. His complaint was no knee lift. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 15. Instead of carrying the lead, stick the bags in a flat rate USPS box and send it to the DZ. Will cost about $6-10 each way depending on how much lead you have. Eliminates the issue all together. Plus, you don't have to haul that weight both ways. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  17. If on thick carpet, regular casters might just dig in. One way to attach casters is rotated 90 degrees so the mounting plate is bolted on the sides of the legs, not underneath them. You only mount the wheels on one end(heavy motor side) and then lift the light side and roll it like a wheel barrow. The casters are off the ground when the table just sits there. It might be necessary to mount a flat surface, maybe plywood, onto the side of the leg so the casters have a solid surface to mount to. My grandpa used this on all his shop tables. Works great. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  19. What surface are these machines sitting on? I have my 132-K6 on a set of furniture sliders kinda like these. They don't add much height and can slide across wood or carpeted floors. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  21. I haven't spent much time in front of a Class 7 machine, but have been using a Consew SK-6F. I like it a lot for the same reasons as Jerry; smaller table, lighter to move around, and peddle controlled foot lift. Does some nice stitching. The 1/2" foot lift has been just fine for needs. Join the club. Started with a Singer 500A, Moved up to 20U-33. Found smokin' deal on Bernina 217 and Consew 206. Sold 20U and 500A. That is when I really caught the bug. Some I have multiples for parts. Some were bought with the intention to be resold. To date: Pfaff 130, 138 Bernina 217-6 & -8, both w/cam drives Consew 206RB-3, SK-6F(same as Singer 132K-6), 339-RB Juki 984 42 stitch center start stop(narrow table), 2500 series (came as package deal with 339s) Singer 107W-1 with puller, 16-88, 31-20, 251 A couple household machines I don't remember the models. Total count, 17? Only a few are actually set up. Some of these are head only, some were bough just for the table and the head will be gifted. Also either bought and resold or just sourced for friends: 4 Singer/Consew 733s. Consew SK-6F 2 Bernina 217s Singer 212 needle feed Rex 16-188 walking foot And no, I don't have a problem. I can stop buying machines any time. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  23. Why? Are you affraid to overload your canopy? Have at least two in my opinion. Skydiver to CRW dog: "Why do you have 2 hook knives?" CRW dog: "Because I'll probably drop the first one." When I got my first bit of CRW training, I was asked why a CRW dog carries 7 hook knives? Answer: Because they didn't have room for anymore. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.
