  3. Not sharp, but the the raw CF at the edges can create some tiny splinters. Nothing a bit of fine sandpaper wouldn't solve. Or some clear fingernail polish. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  4. Several tail strike incidents in Caravans were due to popping right out the door from a standing exit. Leaving from a sitting/kneeling position prevents this, saving the tail of the plane. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  5. Thread each strap into its friction adapter. One sock on each QE and then into the bag. Easy peasy. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  6. I always say chose your reserve size, then your main. I realize you ride your main each jump, and might never use your reserve. But when you do go to plan B, it will most likely be in the basement, over trees, with a tiny landing area, no wind sock to tell you wind direction and the first time you ever landed that canopy. Are you sure you want it to be the smallest canopy you have ever jumped, for the first time? I get that you want to only buy a container once. But do yourself a favor, ask the question, "How much do I value unbroken bones?" Mellow dramatic? maybe. I have never heard anyone say that once they had their reserve over their head, "Damn, I wish it was smaller!!!!" On my last new Infinity container, I chose to stick with the same size container (I-33) and upsize my reserve to an OP160. I could have gone to a I-23 and OP143 for that sexy small container. I have one reserve ride on my PDR 143 and it landed just fine. Instead, I chose more fabric. Mirage designed a container for a BASE main and small reserve for jumpers that want to legally jump a base main and still have a reserve. Accuracy folks want a big main so they can sink into a tuffet, but don't need the same sized reserve. Wingsuiters are nuckin futz. At least you are choosing the right container. 50 donations so far. 7. I getchu, it's all about personal preference. I don't BASE, so chest strap works for me. Find some matchy matchy fabric and go to your rigger. Off topic, but not really. Why do CRW dogs wear 7 hook knives? 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  8. Any decent ft can sew on a pocket. I prefer mine on my chest strap. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  9. I realize the question is about the main, but the I34 will only handle a maximum of a 160 low bulk reserve. I pity the person who is fighting to get a 210 main and is wiling to rely on a 160 reserve. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  10. Orajel is minor league pain relief. Clove oil is for when it really hurts. Just keep it off your gums, because it burns. But it sure works. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  11. Johnny, give him a chance. He hasn't had a chance to get to know and love you like we do. Um, not in the prison sense though. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  12. Anyone that tells you skydiving is safe is either trying to sell you something or a fool. Skydiving is not safe. You can do everything right and still die. What skydiving is in reality is mitigated risk. We start on big docile gear and pull high. We have a back up parachute. If we are unable to pull for ourselves, we have a safety device that might save our life. But even with all this, we are throwing ourselves out of a plane for fun. So don't kid yourself thinking this is safe. Educate yourself about your gear, canopy flight and make your emergency procedures so ingrained in muscle memory you do it in your dreams. And have fun.
  13. Looks like it still has the original 7-31 handwheel. Would need to be modified to receive a pulley. Otherwise, looks nice. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

  15. These folks might. Never had to give one a plan B ride. Have made a couple demo jumps on a 160. Took it terminal and it was much softer than a PDR 143. Some believe that soft opening means it won't open as fast when needed. Has a much better flare, almost like a main. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  16. Are you trying suit on with rig as well? If not, it will be really loose. If yes, booties have some slack and you should need to point your toe some to get bootie tight. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  17. No. Way over priced. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Singer-401A-Slant-O-Matic-Sewing-Machine-With-Extras-/181657068599?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  18. You can pick up a Sailrite LSZ-1 clone for about $400. Some are great, some are difficult to keep in time. It is almost on an individual machine by machine basis. Singer 401A and 500A are hard to beat. They are the same machine, just a different shape body. I see them all the time for about +/- $100. The the 404A and 503a are the same basic machine without the internal metal cam stack. They can do zigzag with the plastic cam wheel installed. Parts are cheap. Common problem with these machines are the hinges on the access doors break. If you can find a Pfaff 130 or 230, also great machines, but tend to be more $$. I found a 130 for $30 at the flea market, so they are out there at a decent price. Also look at Necchi and Husqvarna/Viking machines. Strong sewers, but are a bit more expensive if you need repairs. Research models before you buy. Some Vikings used a sealed in lubricant that if not used on a regular basis, the grease turned into concrete. I bought a 6040 really cheap that I thought I could get running. Not worth the time. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  19. I'm lucky. My girlfriend cleaned out her closet of old freeby backpacks/totebags/etc she got from conventions. I now have a bunch of material, zippers, straps and clips for sewing projects. I also just got my Consew 206RB that needs to have the 3400RPM motor replaced with a servo. After that, let the thread pushing begin. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. 20. I used to work at a hardware store. We always suggested peanut butter on the wood spring trap. Some mice could eat all the peanut butter off and not trip the trap. If that was the case, we suggested putting a piece of jujyfruit candy firmly stuck on the little paddle of the trap. Then putting a thin film of peanut butter on the candy. The combo of smell and the hard to remove sticky candy would almost always get the mouse. I am not fond of poison because the poisoned mouse could be eaten by other animals. Most of the newer poisons contain a desiccant to dry out the mouse so it doesn't get stinky once dead. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  21. I have two Consew 339s that I am converting from 1/4 to 3/16 gauge. The new parts arrive Monday and my brother arrives Friday to help make the change. It's nice having a relative that is also a wickid smaht sewing machine mechanic. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
