  1. Ah Clay. You were always an ear when I needed to vent about some stupid shit that was posted. You were there to PM me and calm me down. I learned alot about forum ettiquette from you...what to say and what not to say - how, especially, to ignore critics. Not having access at work isn't that bad. You'll learn to live with it and possibly like it. I would say I'd miss you, but I don't think I will. I have a feeling I'll know you even better now. My Buddy!! Paula
  2. Paula, you're a Chosen One! That means you're warm, giving, knowing, and patient. Chances are you're not afraid to actively pursue your goals and dreams. As if all that weren't enough, you pretty much set the standard for emotional health by being filled with positive feelings and energy.
  3. Im going with a group from my Dropzone. Im Scheduled for 3 hours over 3 days. That's a lot, right? I was told to expect to be very sore.
  4. Since you brought up Tunnel Training How should I prepare for my first trip to the tunnel? What should I expect? What is usually the biggest "unexpected" from first time tunnel training? I'm headed to Skyventure in January. Thanks, Paula
  5. he he, I do climb up on the table sometimes Bill never climbs on the table. He says he can work longer and smarter without using his back and knees. It's all in the tools and the technique.
  6. She firmly steeled herself for the onslought of the randy but wayward skydiver that had captured her attention..... She was sure that she had her composure this time. She could resist his charm- She took a big gulp of self esteem, got out of the car with her gear. Held her head up high and began walking towards the hanger. When she saw him standing there, sweaty ,no shirt , she..
  7. She pulled over to examine it. It was a note, and it said... "I could really use another one of those blowjobs." Damn Jumpmasters. It's like cooking. If they know you are any good, they want it all the time. Problem was, she didn't know which jumpmaster left the note. Shit - She would have to play dumb when she got to the dz and hope someone admitted to the note. As she got closer, she could see canopies and hear the plane landing. Her thoughts turned to...
  8. Im learning on a table. Im not using my knees at all. Any tips regarding the difference between the table and the floor related to the need for physical strength?
  9. It was a nice ham with a saltyness to it that reminded her... that she was late to the DZ. She grabbed her gearbag and jumped in the car, Put the top down, set the cruise control on 90 and blasted the radio - It was her favorite song...
  10. Buck: Finally getting down here! Excellent. Im ready to take you up on that Helicopter ride... and get in you in the air for a skydive!! Im afraid the DZ may snag you up as a jump pilot though-beware!!
  11. Dave: I actually had a dream about you. You were walking up the sidewalk of Spaceland carrying your gear. Missin you! Im actually in Parachutist twice. Im on the all girls Hybrid dive too, but you can't see me real well, and the story didn't name the participants, but that's me! Then in wings and things with Mikies Gold Wings.

  15. Very high winds at Spaceland too. Visit us sometime - On a less windy day!
  16. 0:1:0 First jump in a month after three straight weekends of rain in Houston. Landed off in a plowed field which was rained on for 3 weeks, swam through a ditch, parahiked about 1/2 a mile in full gear and 10 pound weight vest. Got mud on my canopy- Para-hiking....two sports which should not be combined. My fault for jumping in 25 mph winds in the first place. Done- for the weekend at least. Skydive was great though....
  17. Hope your rigger's not a woman! Seriously, to each his own. Seems like the intent was light humor. We all know who controls the wealth around here !!
  18. That's a great compliment to Everyone at Skydive Houston and our local jumping community. Glad your back in the air and Glad you had a warm welcome coming back to the sport. Jump more often! Paula
  19. I am delighted to be out of my bet to sing "the silly song" on the picnic table if you won. I think it's amazing that we have the talent in H town to almost (short of a few people) have three twenty way teams of people who are competent, if not proficient, at the discipline. I accept your Graceful bough out
