  1. Oh yeah - very funny. Mikie as our designated driver. Besides, I said GIRLS NIGHT that means NO BOYFRIENDS!! We love em, but don't need em all the time! BTW, does that mean your a REAL Yuppie Skydiver Now?
  2. You just don't like the Designated Drive thing.....I understand. Let's get Pop to drive us!!
  3. Me too, We need a girls night out cruzin in the new wheels. Lets go pick up Kelli and hit the streets Sorry, Pop, but you could dress up in Drag and go with us!
  4. packing - Good and getting better all the time. exits - I think Im pretty good at all positions accept my Front Float needs practice. belly flying - Since that's all I really do, I have to think Im Ok there. free-flying - I only have two sitfly jumps and I was completely out of control on both. relative work - Wish I was faster and my awareness was quicker, but I can fly my slot most jumps. spotting - I'd rather not pick the spot, but I can certainly tell if we are too long or too short and I can tell how to improve the previous spot if needed. landings - Average to Not Bad. CRW - I only have 3 jumps but I loved it. I was the newbie on the loads so I was well watched out for. I'd love to say that I have excelled at rigging, but Ive only been a student for one summer and I sucked when I started and Im now improving. But I did have the interest and the desire to pursue it, so I guess that's my Natural Ability.
  5. That's a tough one, but have you tried planning a skydive where you both just get head to head and hover no contact? Don't try to turn points, just concentrate on deep and steady eye contact and staying perfectly still in front of each other. You may be able to figure out if it's you or your friend who are moving and not able to just remain still and stable. Try hand docks, then hover, then hand docks then hover. Doesn't sound like an exciting skydive, but it's a great drill. That may help Identify some problem areas. Video would be a great tool too.

    20 way

Turkey Doctors? How the hell did you get that name? Im sure you can find a few more people. It's gonna be my 'FIRST' TeXXas 20 way (as unofficial as it can be with comp judges there) - so I'll be sure to bring my Case of Beer and share it with the Turkey Doctors- Wait, hmmm I guess I'll need two cases to share with you and My dearest Otter Limits...Wait - hmmmm what about Deguello? Oh, they don't drink beer See ya October 12th!
  10. 16 way is looking close today--- Go Deguello, Hooray for the Homeboys!! Holding a steady Bronze right now!
  11. Speaking of Bill. What's the Wrath of Bill like? No one's been "Billed" ?
  12. I agree whole heartedly that the safety of all people on that plane is Important and all jumpers are equally deserving of a good spot. All groups should take as much time in the door as they need to make a successful skydive. Even 27 seconds if that's what it takes.
  13. ESFP Extroversion Sensation Feeling Perception I disagree with the Feeling part. I think Im a thinker, but hey -
  14. I once heard a coach say "The only time during the skydive when you all the time in the world is when your in the door." These guys train hard all year round for a Gold Medal at Nationals. If they needed 27 seconds to get ready, get focused and prepare for the moment they trained for all year - Get out of their way and let them Skydive. It's their JOB to win this meet. So let's not overlook the Importance of their Jump and compare it to your one jump that day where you didn't check the spot. Lets show a little respect. If you know what round they were on, I'd like to check their score for that jump.

  16. Hugs and kisses and good vibes for a speedy recovery. I just finished the "screws" thing with my son's broken femur. Not fun, but time heals all wounds, and some bones.
  17. Im a Retail Manager and each position in the company is a "slot" - A lot of things in life are slots now. I think it's cool when my honey says "your hair smells like Jet A" and, I too struggle with the true meaning of "Stilletto" and "Talon"
  18. Yes they should compete. AND WIN !!
  19. I was really pulling for Arizona Vegence for third in 8 way open. I thought they might take Deland after a few rounds. They are our Arizona boys from Texas. Love you guys! Deguello, gotta respect them. Practice hard, no sponsors - very serious about what they do. Ok guys, Nationals are over...lets Play!! Wait....there's still 16 way...
  20. Are you sure it wasn't "Hey Baby", or "Babe" or "It's OK Baby"...?? That just doesn't sound like any Jumpmaster I have ever met or heard of. Too Weird. Maybe she just said "Im acting like a baby.." and no one disagreed?
  21. Yep, 4th day in a row. Damn Tropical Storms. But at least we get to skydive in the Winter!
  22. Ok, ok. What about me? Paula , Skydive Spaceland , see attached.
  23. Im not sure if I'll jump or not, but I will make it a point to drive up and support the club. Aggies are a great program. You guys rock.
  24. Wow, some shocking, some not so shocking. That Juggernaut stole the show in 4wayI, not surprising. Go Texas, Go Dallas!! Our Spaceland homeboys, Jumpstart tied for 12th - WE LOVE YALL! Otterlimits in 16th? After taking 3rd last year? Big upset for us (more so for them, Im sure). Someone give em a hug for us. Looks like our 8 way Homeboys, Deguello, are getting off to a slow start in 8 way open after two rounds. Remember the Alamo!! I can tell, Im not gonna get much work done this week.....

    Knights Win

I think this is awesome because: Its our tax dollars at work. Although I love the fact that the private sector can put up teams that challenge the Knights, We pay for them to train and be the very best. They represent America and our military, so they should be the best. Beyond compare. I feel like I got my Tax money worth this year. America Rocks!
