  1. Perhaps out of trim... but I didn't think vectran went out of trim in that short of time (500 jumps) does anybody have a line trim for an FX Na' Cho' Cheese
  2. How is it quicker? I'm sure you have to jump through the same hoops as getting a back (or a seat) right? 20 supervised packs and all the paper work and tests. Na' Cho' Cheese
  3. No really... I shouldn't base my opinion on just this one canopy but here goes: I traded my old crossfire 99 for an FX 84. I will say that I'm not impressed at all on the performance. When I say performance I don't care about openings. I've jumped this FX about, uuuuh, a dozen maybe 2 dozen times and everything seems fine but the rear riser plane out. It seems that it wants to drop out on me. I'm convinced that the only thing they're good for is a place to stow the yonkles. I've tried different setups in different conditions and my conclusion now is either they do very little or when I really pull them down the tail flutters (which leads to a collapse). Facts: I'm wingloading it right a 2.0 I'm jumping at sea level The canopy has 500 jumps Backround: I have over 1000 skydives with over 800 swoop type landings. I'm no stranger to small canopies with my previous canopy being a Xaos 84, 91 and Velocity 90. With such light wingloadings I usually pull a nice 360 at 500-600ft. Na' Cho' Cheese

  6. Wow this is still going on? Give it a break. I still don't understand how people can make such judgements without seeing him land in person. And I know you wouldn't be saying this kind of B.S. to him face to face! I did find this a little amusing. YEAH DUDE! Still alive and well. I probably lost a lot of people money for all the times they bet that I would die before my 16th b-day. Well here I'm 17 and knock on wood no skydiving/base jumping injuries (1000 skydives/ 100 base jumps). You think this guys progression is bad check out mine HERE Na' Cho' Cheese
  7. Hey kim I think if you search for like olav zipser compulsary freefly on youtube; he has posted a video. edit: WAHTCHA! http://youtube.com/watch?v=s47squzHX-I Na' Cho' Cheese
  8. I would think so. Actually I can't think of many sport reserves that are bigger than a Raven IV. Best to contact alitico. Na' Cho' Cheese
  9. His landing was way better on the vx-39. Actually I don't think a perfect stop could get any better! Na' Cho' Cheese
  10. I've jumped a Raven 109 loaded at 1.5. The landing was a nice and soft stand up. Though I've heard of many hard landings like the one that you had. I've found that the factory excess length is pretty short for my arms so I lengthened it (cat-eye to toggle setting). I think that is why many people stall there's out. The factory setting flare for me probably would have been about a little lower than shoulders. Na' Cho' Cheese
  11. I plan on competing but am still working on my PRO rating and that is one of the reqs to attend. Na' Cho' Cheese
  12. I'm surprised you had this kind of experience with the Raven 109 after so many jumps under small f1-11's. I have both PDR 99 and Raven-M 109. While the PDr obviously has better flying characteristics than other reserves the one jump I had on my 109 was easily manageable and landed me nice and soft on my feet. Loaded at 1.5 though. 13. I said " for what its worth" That could also mean its worth nothing! Na' Cho' Cheese
  14. as a packer I see that everyone wants their breaks stowed a certain way. If the customer doesn't stow or set his/her own breaks I just leave them un-stowed. FWIW I have 500 camera jumps and do not set my breaks. Never had a problem with it. Na' Cho' Cheese
  15. Yeah I jumped there a couple times last winter when it was still forming. Its pretty close to taft. Has 2 c-182's. Pretty big landing area and it has 2 old barnes that george turned into airplane hangers. I'm pretty sure its a weekend operation. Na' Cho' Cheese
  16. Probably a cookie composites helmet Na' Cho' Cheese
  17. Dude! I know. Death Races are the way of the future. I mean. We have 2 competitors right here! Lets recruit some more victims. I just want to do backflips though. Backflips are underrated in my opinion Na' Cho' Cheese
  18. New ideas? How about 2 backflips-double spock- verticle compressed- full eagle (repeat) Blocks and randoms A,B,C,1,2,3 Na' Cho' Cheese
