  2. Are you current? Do you have your yellow card filled out? Thats a temporary A-Licence. That along with your membership is your A-licence is valid at all USPA dropzones if I recall. I had 550 jumps before I skipped to D-License. All the different dropzones I jumped at only required me to have a membership. Na' Cho' Cheese

  9. and its the spring loaded pilot chute of the reserve to help get the pilotchute away from you. Am I close? Na' Cho' Cheese
  10. stability? reserves are made to open well even if you are unstable. But then again if you have the time there's no need to pull unstable... Thoughts? I've had 1 emergency cutaway and 2 while I was test jumping equipment and one of those was just so crazy (spinning) that I waited to get stable. (under reserve at 4K
  11. I agree if they have their certain way of doing things. I have no problem at all setting their own breaks. But it really grinds my gears when they complain that I don't do it right. I usually leave the excess loose. Na' Cho' Cheese
  12. Your right on about inevitable. I'd say 1/3 of dz.com is just grillings. 2/3 of my dz.com career has been grillings. but contrary to popular belief they actually piss me off. The outcome of the situation would be much different if you were meeting these guys in person. (DSE) Na' Cho' Cheese
  13. Drama Queens. Stop dorkzone.com The numbers started going down about the same time dropzone.com was founded... Coincidence? I think not Na' Cho' Cheese
  14. 560 jumps C-182 C-206 (utility) Caravan Grand Caravan Twin Otter Hot air balloon Na' Cho' Cheese
  15. I am in a total agreement with you. But why then are so many people quoting jump numbers, years in sport, etc. as an agueing point on both sides of the table? Back when you guys were yelling at me for downsizing too much you guys were always quoting my numbers and not my skill. Have things changed? Na' Cho' Cheese
  16. How can you name a routine? Or are you talking about a certain teams routine? Or do you mean like a drill dive. 3 people? or 2 people and a cameraflyer? Na' Cho' Cheese
  17. Will you guys have another competition at shelton? Na' Cho' Cheese
  18. I've been there a couple of times. I like it. They mostly do tandem jumps there. but there are still fun jumpers to jump with with about your same experience level. They have 2 landing areas. Both are pretty big. But I hope you can stand up your landings because its pretty hard dirt. They have a caravan and a 206. I think the jump tickets are 23 to 13K. For a little extra you can go all the way up to 18K (oxygen) They have good instructors too. Dave Hughes is a very nice guy. Na' Cho' Cheese
  19. I'll try my best to explain myself. I have an S1 and have gotten into backflying. Has anyone tried to add back inlets to their suits via a rigger. It seems easy. Hot knife a whole into the back of the wing. sew a semi stiff seal (like sail material) over the existing inlet. Sew at the leading edge so air can still blow it open. And do the same thing but on the back side too. Here's my crappy drawing Na' Cho' Cheese
  20. Although vectors are pretty simple ,relatively speaking, racer has it beat by far.Maybe not exterior which is an opinion but internally racers are the most simple. 4 flaps as opposed to whatever the vector has 5?..6? or infinity 6? How does the closing the flaps seem odd? bottom, right, left, top? Edit: I'm pretty happy with my choice. I think I have one of the smallest and lightest rig represented on dz.com. I've held it up against the smallest sizes of mirage, javelin, and infinity. Na' Cho' Cheese
  21. I don't have a quick release because they're bulky. It take me all of 15 seconds to just screw it in. Na' Cho' Cheese
  22. I'll just tell you what you want to hear. When your off student status you'll want a pretty docile canopy too. so if you were to by new. Maybe something like: Harness Container: Racer Main Canopy: Spectre Reserve Canopy: PD reserve Automatic Activation: Vigil Na' Cho' Cheese
  23. I guess I'm kind of humbled... You guys got the manufacture to call one of my DZO's. I was told that it wasn't a good idea to do that so I'm going to stop doing that at the dz. The manufacture was very polite with the DZO and laid out his views way better than you guys laid out yours. My dad (instructor), DZO, still doesn't think that its really that much to worry about. The DZO just simply told me, "yeah to keep us from getting in trouble lets not do that." and just like I said before, once asked to stop I did so. Na' Cho' Cheese
