Ahoy Andy, I edited this pic. I reckon it would make a blinding T-shirt.

Hey Andy, I know this is a big deal for you but... Is this the ugly side of success?
  4. I feel sorry for Ron, it must be hard having a wife who is ok with him jumping, accompanies him on trips and likes to take loads of photos of him jumping. And she is a biker. No, actually I don't feel sorry for Ron, I hate the bastard.
  5. How about using pool noodles first as training gates? Then use proper gates when technique is there. I've seen this done at a couple DZs, quite a cheap way to mark out your swoop lane too.
  6. Do you mean bankrupt? I thought you had a PDH and was clever.
  7. NOTHING REASONABLY FIT ASSUMED BASE ZERO Ok, I think I've cracked the code.

    modified rig..

Ian, you are just another 100 jump wonder BASE god. Maybe one day when you have done more than just ultra-low SL jumps you will have a clue. Until then you are clearly just jealous of those with a vastly superior (albeit similarly limited) skill-set. Will PS almost forgot, here is your to make this post American friendly.
  9. I think an instructor at your dropzone needs to sit down with you and explain a couple of things. From a previous post : Now I understand that English is not your first language but I still cannot understand the 'nobody tracks' bit. And regarding the second part, it is very important that everyone in the group has visual contact at breakoff. Typically this is around '5 000, breaking off in cloud at this altitude and higher is very bad. Also, I would suggest that the average deployment altitude for experienced skydivers is between 3000' and 3500'. I am not picking on you, but the incorrect opinions that you put forward as fact are causing concern. Bear in mind the inexperienced jumpers following these forums. Thank you.
  10. Kick ass Airkix!!! I am really stoked about this, it is bloody brilliant! They worked so hard for so long. Their cameraflyer Andy (and also Rob Simpson who helped out for a camp), both totally sound fellas. I was pleased when they qualified for funding, this is just awesome. Can't wait to toast their success with AlienAngel. Fuckin' brilliant!
  11. Yes, and she better hurry up and win the gold I'm getting tired of hitting the refresh button. Emma jumped now her 1st world championship and Remster eated now his 12th Krispy Kreme donut (of the day). Keep training big boy.
  12. By your own admittance you've only ever jumped at one dropzone in the UK so what are you basing this generalization on? Have you not seen this BPA warning poster? http://www.bpa.org.uk/safetydocs/Cloud%20poster.pdf
  13. I wasn't aware that Krispy Kreme had a team entered.
  14. Respect mah authoritah!!! I bought this rig off Sam couple years ago, it is very pretty (silver with lilac trim) but keeps bad company.
  15. There's been an accuracy rig offered without hire charge for a while on UK base board. Has had 265 and bigger BASE canopies freepacked into it. Contributions to help keep reserve in date always welcome.
  16. The bunkhouse at Hib is £4 per night for the room with 6 beds, £5 per night for rooms with 4 beds. I've jumped at 6 UK dropzones (inc. Langar), I prefer Hib but have had great times at all the others. You've only jumped at Langar yet insist it is the best dropzone in the country. Do you understand why your objectivity is being questioned?
  17. Hibaldstow Block of 10 jump tickets : £180 Exit altitude : minimum '14 500 Langar Block of 10 jump tickets : £190 Exit altitude : minimum '13 000 From personal experience over the last 4 years I know for a fact that I can make between 7 and 9 jumps a day on a good weather day at Hib. The people are sound, the parties are great. Could you please elaborate on why you feel Langar is the best dropzone in the UK. Could you also please tell me if you have ever jumped at Hib. Like someone else said, various dropzones are 'best' for various reasons. By insisting your flavour of Kool aid is the 'best' you end up looking a bit sad and pathetic.
  18. The loser who keeps editing the wingsuit wiki to remove the fact that Robert Pecnik designed the Birdman Classic. Please put out a call at manifest.
  19. Just like home made tracking outfits and BASE god attitudes.
  20. When you jump a big wall you might be watching the object in the beginning but by pull time it is all about the ground rush. Whether you jumped with a BASE rig off a '3 000 cliff or a balloon the ground rush at terminal velocity is the same. I have a skydiving accuracy rig that is big enough for '265 to '280 canopy. If I were to use that to get some wingsuit practice from a balloon so I could know exactly what my BASE canopy would open like on a wingsuit flight is that lame too? Or am I better off finding out how a BASE canopy wingsuit deployment/opening is like on my first BASE wingsuit jump? Open your eyes and think a bit more laterally, there are lots of ways you can (legally) use skydiving to prepare for and improve your BASE jumping.
  21. It is my understanding that he broke out the pack job to put the slider up on the night at the object. She wouldn't have seen him close the container and restow PC with pullup attached.
  22. I don't think everyone has the complete picture. When Ian (sabre210) took me to jump that object, we parked our car some distance away. We then hiked back and across farmland and then approached it stealthily via the woods to observe the compound. This compound is the service headquarters for the Antennae engineers for the entire region, ie this is where they wait until they get a call-out. That night there was a service vehicle in the compound. We waited in the woods until the engineer left. So, there are engineers on site there every day of the week. Chucking his rig off was a bad idea, this was compounded by leaving his canopy out there exposed to the elements for a week. As for the tired arms story, I've climbed that ladder. It is not exposed you can stop at any stage and step off the ladder to rest on the girders. There are also little platforms at regular intervals. And please don't say nobody made an effort, Dantheman, Ian and Ron drove out to meet him and give him advice. They took the time and this is how he reacted.
