i just moved back after living there for a year. i'll pm you my number. i'll give you the skinny on everything from desolate beaches with great surf, crazy party towns, bungee jumping, hot springs, i'll even share 2 base objects that i've done... one of which you land on a beach full of hookers! if you're into that sort of thing... by the way, if you're not, i'd recomend a different trip.
  2. Yeah Justin..... I love you more every day! I got your back, Ban me with him Tom 'cause I agree. Hey Jeb, I understrand your reasoning as I've timed NYC lights at night and those Fukcing cabs haul balls on the green. There is no safe time when the streets are empty. But dammit brother, take that crap to chicago or something cause NYC is a heaven that should be respected. PS: that base ordinance best not pass or it's commin' out of your ass
  3. I've jumped w/ tater before........ he is actually a decent jumper on all objects that i've been on w/him. little balsy.... but aren't we all? True sportsman to the end hey towerrat..... go fuck your self...... tater has heart "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  4. I roc's are for real men only....... or real stupid men.... still to be determined "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  5. I love illegal immigrants with blow that base jump. what the fuck tater.....? thought you could BS better than that, never admit a thing. "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  6. if you're rolling something solid..... definatly slider off. way too likely to get an off heading slider up. don't worry about swinging back into the building, just push off real hard. It's only base, how bad could it be anyway...? seriously, I've rolled over a building that i pretty much just fell off, i barely dove out at all, and I opened up a good 10 feet away from the B. but I don't recomend any of this ever, for anyone. unpacked jumps can get real nasty real quick. be safe or die "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  7. Look.... Not that I even live there right now but regardless of the ramafications i'll jump there again. Honestly in NYC, this law doesnt make that much difference. As it stands now a building jump in manhatten nets you 3 felonys w/a bust. Usual charges, but everything in the 5 borroughs is a felony after the patriot act. so what's a fourth at that point....? You know what the funniest part is.....? Brooklyn ain't got shit for objects. The couple that may have been done aren't done nearly as often as neighboring burroughs. And Nick........ "Old school" has always carried a certain weight of respect to my ears. The crowd is growing, and with it wil be more people of all types, and more fatalitys. It's just a numbers game now. Stay safe all...... BASE NYC will not be stopped "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  8. Not exactly sure how everyone else would do it. But here in NY, generally the biggest shit talker of the night (we all take turns being him) would pca the first two and then follow hand held. this way no one deals with windy messy bridals or snagged pc's on the object. Plus that silly shit talker has to put his money where his mouth is! "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  9. ha ha ha ha ha ha............ I just laughed so hard i think i re-injured my self. christ, my ribs and shoulder are killing me, and i'm still laughing.... ow, you bastard! PS: i vote for the latter "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  10. That's david belle and Cyril Raffaelli..... I think in the end of this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8970008800328106389 he does a pretty good building to building w/a 2 story drop. if there's cats doing bigger than that, than they've got issues. don't we all though and don't be pissed off if you're good at cheating death....... i thought that was the point "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  11. I think the russian guy your talking about is this kid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEbYtOEftc0&mode=related&search= but the master of parkour is david belle, and he's french. One bad ass M.F.'n frenchman at that. search him on youtube..... entertain you for hours. "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  12. i forget the model # or name.... but it is the full face down hill mtb. not the top of line with the light weight carbon fiber shell, as that one seemed more apt to split on the first hit (although it would absorb more impact doing that). I got the next step down since the core and shell seem to be able to take multiple hits. kind of like we might experience sliding down the face of a B w/ledges or rolling through a tallus field. They offer one for motocross that is snell and ansi rated, but i was concerned w/the weight, and how far the jaw piece protruded..... anyone jumping a motocross helmet?...... how's your neck? "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  13. no doubt!!!!! I love mine. and it was only $89, with way more protection than any skydiving helmet could ever offer. plus they come in flat black, of course mine is silver.... but it was on clearance. "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  14. Damn.... that is so obvious and i never thought of it before. thanks. of course this will reduce the chances of me gift wrapping a pursuing security guard like my favorite jersey jumper did 3-4 years ago in atlantic city. damn i've always wanted to do that since then......... "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death." Hunter S. Thompson
  15. dude.... he's gonna be like 1,000 miles from us. but it does seem that 980 has been traveling quite a bit lately, so maybe that's not a stretch. Come on down, much warmer than canada, and the door is always open. and yes, we do have objects there already. And as far as waiting for shit to blow over goes.... with all the trouble we are about to get into in central america, you're gonna be on the run for quite a while maggot....... 980- good luck in the islands "Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death."
