Correct. If your legs are still straight out they are making greater lift than your upper body and pushing you head low. To reduce this you must bend your knees and get your feet up behind you. It may also help to give yourself a few more seconds during your wave off to transition back to a vertical fall. Emphasize the arch and hands above your head in box man to transition out of a tracking position. Good luck and long flights! I have just purchased a Pentax K10D and will be mounting it to my head shortly. I am still shopping for lenses but Pentax makes several badass fixed lenses (limited edition series) that I think would work great for FF photography. I haven't tried it yet but I believe that a Canon mini plug bite-switch will work on the K10D. I compared Canon, Nikon, and Pentax. To get a weather sealed body you have to spend $4000+ with Canon (Mark Body's only) $1800 with Nikon (D200 or D300) and $800 with Pentax (K10D). The final decision was based on Value, Size, & Weight. Yeah Doug...you are right. If it seems too good to be true...it generally is. I work in the consumer electronics business and I know of many internet whores and trunk slammers that have screwed people over the years. They claim it is new product with factory warranty when in reality it is generally B-stock (re-furb) or worse it could be stolen goods. Be very careful. Buy from a reputable company. Preferably a local dealer that you trust. This goes for anything electronic or of high complexity. Without doubt turn OFF the auto-focus. You just need to set the focus on the ground manually before you start jumping. I have also played with manual exposure but this can be very tricky to get right. I haven't really had any issues with using the auto exposure anyway. I use a PC350 in a Cookie Composites box with great results. It has great video quality and has a LANC port for a remote indicator. My brother uses a PC1000 which is also nice and slightly thinner but taller than my PC350. Either are good choices with many accessories available.
