  1. This is true. Well I am 6ft. If you could post your relevant statistics along with the pic that would be cool. Just want to get an idea before it arrives. Impatient I know. lol.
  2. Hi guys, Getting a Mirage G3 size M0. Just want to see how small it looks. If anyone has any pics of them wearing one please post. Cheers.
  3. Hi guys, This make seem like a strange question, but what do you guys write in your log book in terms of the description of the jump? Do you break it down to individual maneouvers or just in general what was worked on that jump. i.e. fall rate adjustment, forward & backward movement etc. Cheers, Ryan.
  4. Thanks for your reply. What's the fit like? What size reserve do you have in there?
  5. Hi guys, I am looking to downsize again without changing container, and was wondering if anyone has put a 150 sq ft canopy in a Javelin Odyssey J4K container? It originally had a Sabre 2 190 in it, and currently has a 170. I am looking for put either a Sabre 2, Safire 2 or a Spectre 150 in it. Also are there any canopies with a larger pack volume to compensate for the downsizing? Any help would be appreciated guys. Cheers, Ryan.
  6. Hi, Learning to flat pack for my packing certificate, and need some help. I am ok up to the point where I roll the nose, and then place the B lines on the A lines, and the C lines on top. Need some clarification on how to bring the D lines over, and also the proper procedure for flaking the tail. I'm ok after that point, just appear to have forgotten that part. Any information (and pictures) would be a big help. Got an unpacked canopy that wants to go back in his bag. Blue skies. p.s. I know pro packing is the way forward, but want to get flat packing down to get my packing certificate.
  7. I was planning a trip over in October to do my FJC and jump at Bridge Day. PM me the details.
  8. Hi, I'm currently flying a Sabre2 190 with a wing loading of 1.07, and am looking to downsize to a 170 (Sabre) in the near future which would be at a wing loading of 1.2. Will I notice a significant difference between the two canopies? As a bit of background, I have jumped this canopy since I came off of student status (about 90 jumps), and 99% of my landings are stand up. My long term plan is to spend some time on this canopy, before later transitioning to a Sabre 150, and eventually a Crossfire 2 150. Any information would be appreciated. Cheers, Ryan.
  9. Hi, I haven't jumped there before but want to go up and get a few jumps in this weekend. I know it is a military dropzone and am not quite sure of the procedure. Can I just turn up and jump? Cheers, Ryan.
  10. I was wondering if it is possible to get a skyhook RSL put on my rig. I have an '07 Javelin Odyssey. If so, what is the cost and procedure for doing so. I'm from the UK, so ideally wouldn't want to send my rig outside of the country. Cheers, Ryan.
  11. Sounds like a good plan. Thanks or the advice. Blue skies.
  12. Sounds like a good plan. Not going for a couple of weeks though so might buy one and exchange it if the other one doesn't fit. Which would you say would be a better fit? I can't visualize it. 40l does sound reasonably big though... I feel a poll coming on.....
  13. Hi guys, I'm flying out to Seville from Stansted in a couple of weeks to do some freefly coaching (with Mikey & Jim from Outbreak) and want to take my rig on as hand luggage (don't really fancy leaving my £4k rig in the hold). I don't want to just sling it over my shoulder and have been looking at the following covers: http://www.shop-com.co.uk/Rucksack_Rain_Cover_70l-54468643-p!.shtml?trk=2 Problem is not sure what size I need. They come in 40l or 70l. I would have the thought the 40 but have no idea really. Any help would be appreciated. Blue skies, Ryan.
  14. I seemed to have caused quite a stir with my question. lol. Thanks for the input. It's good to hear the thoughts of the more experienced. In answer to some of your statements, I do not fly the pants all the way until pull time and did several practise pulls. I experimented with various things and focused on my arch and pulling my legs up behind me to reduce the extra drive from the pants. This did improve the situation I am since only going slightly head down (more rocking forward slightly) but would like to get this ironed out so I am as stable as possible at pull time. Thanks again for the response.
  15. Thanks for the reply. What exactly do you mean by 'not giving it so much leg'? lol. I have no problems throughout the jump then as soon as I drop my right arm to reach for my hackey I momentarily dip head down for a second or two and then level out when my hand is back out in front of me. Any ideas?
