  1. I second what Grey Mike said...thanks for such a great boogie. Scott Gray & I both made 25 jumps and had a blast jumping with all of you. The high-speed pass was badass and the flocking was sweet. We had a great group of talented pilots. Congrats to all who was on the Texas State Record 22-way Flock...whoohoo!! Hey DZ Tom...nice dick-dock on Tyler...haha!! Lastly, I want to see all you flockers make it to Flock & Dock 3.5 which is October 5-7 at Z-hills. 6. Nice looking suit indeed. Is that a BASE PC Pouch I see on the suit? Was that a special request or a stock option? WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  7. Any of you Skydive Spaceland regulars know of some good places to eat near the DZ or in Alvin? I was hoping to find some authentic Texas smokehouse food or Tex-Mex. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  8. The new features are quite innovative. It looks like the new air locks work quite well. Jeff, have you considered testing a back deflector on the Super Mach 1? -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  9. I believe that Jeff has some stops on his Tony Suit Tour during September...including Skydive Orange (VA). I was under the impression from him that October was what we were shooting for. 16. UPDATE!!! This is a correction to a previous thread. The Orange Boogie will be held August 17-19 at SD Orange (VA). Come fly at The Brothers Gray home DZ. All you flockers are invited. I am working with the event coordinator to make this a wingsuit friendly event. We will be flying the Otter as usual and are looking for a second turbine aircraft....possibly a tailgate :). There will be food and entertainment each night. The Brothers Gray will be organizing flocking dives. We plan to have a distance challenge (WS & non-WS), demo suits available and skills practice for an upcoming VA Wingsuit Record. WS Instructors with demo suits who are interested in attending please send me a PM. All skill levels are welcome. First Flight Courses will be available for newbies. Please post to this thread if you are interested. We are also planning a Wingsuit Weekend with Jeff Neblekopf for sometime in September. A date will be annouced shortly. This is when we will hold the VA Wingsuit Record Attempt. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  17. UPDATE!!! I screwed up on the dates. The boogie is still on and all the details are correct but the correct dates for it are SEPT 17-19. Please refer to the new thread please!!! -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  18. The Flock U Boogie & the Orange Boogie are being held the same dates. I am sure that a large number of you are going to the Flock U event. That is perfectly fine. Scott Gray & myself would be there too but we have made a comittment to the Orange Boogie organizers. Anyone in the Mid-Atlantic area who are not going to the Flock U Boogie please come out and join us at Orange. We still plan to have First Flight Course's and a distance challenge for both WS & non-WS. I have decided to re-schedule the VA State Wingsuit Record Attempt to the Wingsuit Weekend that Jeff Neblekopf will be hosting here early in September (dates will soon be announced). Instead we will use the Orange Boogie as a chance for existing pilots to brush up on there skills before the record attempt. Any experienced wingsuit pilots who are interested in participating in the record attempt please PM me so that I can better organize it. Whether you are new to wingsuit flying or a current pilot let me know if you are interested in joining us. 19. OMG...are you falling like a cannon ball at the end of your wingsuit flight??? Granted I am 5'8" & 140lbs but I don't get over 75 mph during deployment and generally my max speed is less than 70. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  20. haha...yeah, I don't like those things either. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  21. Very good points McCordia and thank you for keeping it short & to the point.....lol. For the pilot it is all about feel and like Robi explained for the designer it is also about finite data and precision measurements. The Blade vs. V-2 vs. Mach 1 battle can only be decided by you flying all of them and deciding which is best for you particularly which one suits your body type & style of flying. All three are spectacular designs. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  22. The Orange Boogie will be held August 25-27 at SD Orange (VA). We plan to have a distance challenge (WS & non-WS) and an attempt to set the VA Wingsuit Record. WS Instructors with demo suits who are interested in attending please send me a PM. All skill levels are welcome. First Flight Courses will be available for newbies. Please post to this thread if you are interested. 23. I agree with McCordia in regard to a fully built formation with tight spacing and a defined appearance being the objective. If the formation is all in frame and is the same as pre-planned it would be acceptable. While at Skyfest I would like to see us organize at least a Texas Record and if all goes well perhaps a US Record. I think a 20 way in the above mentioned format would take both. -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  24. It looks sweet. Nice work Tony & Jeff! WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
  25. Is anyone successfully using a bite switch on a Nikon D80 or similar model with the multi-pin remote port? What is the best solution to this? -Chris- WSI-6 / PFI-55 The Brothers Gray Wingsuit Academy http://www.myspace.com/cgwingsuitpilot http://www.myspace.com/thebrothersgray
