You might want to consider a cutaway kit from bonehead too? It is the flat top cutaway mod. http://www.boneheadcomposites.com/helmparts.htm I would call linda at bonehead and talk to her before ordering this mod for the older style hemet I did one on my old one. There is some changes that you'll need to know about with the ski binding and padding inside the bone to make it work properly. Also if you do this you'll want to put the helmet on tightly and cut it away several times to make sure it works right. I had 2 helmets that didn't want to cut away due to the way the foam is shimmed on the bone. All this depends on what kind of canopy you are flying my friend. I like to be in the saddle by 3000 . Say the tandem pulls by 5500 which they usually don't and it takes the canopy 1000 feet to open and i'm filming the opening. Now i'm at 4000 or lower gives me little time to transition and then get my separation since my canopy takes 1000 feet to open and it might get really interesting at any time during that opening ,and i want to make it back to the dz too! Just keep in mind when your tracking that there are other tandems or jumpers in the area .Say there are other tandems and camera flyers on the same pass, do you know there line of flight to avoid them? I am all for separation . But a couple years ago another highly experienced camera flyer and i almost had a canopy collision on opening , and we never did figure out how we came so close . Luckily i saw him on my deployment and managed to avoid the collision. We were both jumping highly loaded cross brassed xaos canopies. I went to the sore today to get a 50mm hole saw an they only have 2in which is 51 mm. Can this be a problem? I have a box for my cx 100 im going to side mount on my new invertigo x. I use it and think it's fairly fast. But Not fast enough to do at the dz ,so i do my edits during the week and mail them. But it sucks because you have to use the docking station due to the file structure i think. Can't remove the memory card and use a card reader , unless you convert the files which is a very long process ,not worth the headache. If that's what your looking to do your better off booting into windows with sony vegas pro 8.
