I have made several power tools ,but they don't last long before either the cord gets to tight on the metal shaft or it loosens and don't stay tight enough any more . I have stitched them with needle and thread to but it's not a solution either. How is this done ? I'm guessing maybe heating the cord to melt it a bit ? Probably not a good idea to side mount it. If you did, plan on loosing it and breaking your video camera threads in the process. Unless of course the box covers the lens too. I tend to agree with her. I was just sitting inside the studio when i did those,I need to go outside and do a real comparison with another view, but it's ugly here right now. i actually like the opteka better than my baby death. This is why i bought both of them before jumping them . I don't like the rubber shade on the baby death. The opteka is metal with a set screw. O M G! 35MM film ,3 yrs. ago i gave a whole bag of that stuff to a buddy that don't skydive along with a canon A2E and vertical grip. He was excited to get it.I was just happy to give it to him.
