    Ten total chops. Four on personal gear with no RSL (Three round, and one square reserve ride) Tandems: Three chops without a skyhook, but with rsl. Scary. No, really... I arched like the maggot I am, and hoped nothing would touch (or wrap around) my foot. Lucky. Skydive Houston got some rigs retro fitted, and on one of my rare jumps on their gear I got to find out about it. Chop from a spinner... before my body can go head below the horizontal I'm getting the snatch.

    It's fantastic. BUT, ...... some people have TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS. We all have our place in the world.     NOTHING. Sitting here in Houston suffering the consequences of Hurricane IKE. Actually I'm lucky, because I still have power at home. No AC, however, because the ancient chilled water system is down. I feel your pain, Houston. If it's really really bad call me. My office is powered and air conditioned.     I live inside the loop near Wescott and Memorial. Still have power. After waiting for the tree by the pool to go down I finally went to sleep. Apparently I slept through it all! I live in an older complex whose ac is a centrally controlled chilled water system. No AC. . Cold front is making it bearable, though. Harleygirl is still barred from returning to LaMarque. "Authorities" need to let the masses in. They will hasten the cleanup. The ones who stayed behind will be doing the looting and burglarizing. Just my .02. Here are some photos from nearby hood.
