I've been told that Tom, who switched from jumping to riding, has met his end on the road. Bikers, be careful out there. He was there in the beginning of my career, and at a reunion in 2003. I took a photo of him in 1978 when he jumped into his own college graduation at East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. I was strapped for cash, so I submitted it to the National Enquirer, who, happily for me, paid me a nice bit of change. I never saw it in print, however. RIP Bro.
