  1. Took a 9 year layoff in the 90's. I know how you feel...felt the same thing. Never ever stopped learning and listening about the sport we love. That is what makes you a skydiver. You should go and hang out at the DZ one day. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  2. Quote[Joe Biden Voice] I know the AWB did nothing to reduce crime last time, in fact the crime rate went up dramatically, but I swear it will work this time, it really really will...I swear it will![/Joe Biden Voice] Really surprised to see the Average White Band being tasked with reducing crime Please don't dent the planet. 3. What drew you to the sport in the first place? The adventure and danger of it all. I was 4 years old living in Florida when Wide world of SPorts covered the nationals. I remember thinking freefall looked amazing and I wanted to do that someday. It was the baddest thing I could afford to do at the time. I liked the reaction I got from whuffo's when they asked about it. What kept you in the sport? The people. I would much rather spend a weekend at the DZ then any other place. My first divorce was directly related to my ex's not wanting to hang at the DZ. Has skydiving changed other areas of your life? Self confidance, self-esteem, all of those types of things. Has skydiving affected you personally? Too many to list....the death of a good friend on a demo knocked me out of it for 9 years. During that time I felt a huge part of who I was missing. Why should someone try skydiving? Get out of your comfort zone and do something amazing. Other thoughts? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  4. Back in the day before deployment systems were standardized "jump was made using borrowed gear" was seen alot in the incident reports. Not to say it doesn't happen, but with your jump #'s the RW should have been left off the agenda. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Yea that's a tough choice. How do you leave Ortiz's bat in the dugout? Maybe Lowell could pitch? Dice K's gotta make you guys nervous anyways. Seriously tho...this is NL ball now...read speedy base runners. I think Papi sits until late in the game depending on how Youk is doing and what the score is. No worries tho...I think you guys have this one in the bag. The real World Series was played last week. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  6. Almost sounds as if you want it to happen. I guess I'm a little surprised. No, I wish it wouldn't happen, but it most certainly will. It cannot be avoided. but I wish it could be avoided Bill You seem pretty sure about this. This is the kind of thinking that has made me suspicious of religion in general, and I'll bet I'm not alone. Absolute allegiance to anything makes me nervous. I was given a mind to think with, yet the scriptures want to do my thinking for me. This whole religion issue causes more deaths throughout history...amazing ain't it? Also, you used the word "payback". Sounds as if you at least believe we deserve this. Please don't dent the planet. 8. Not a surprise to me. Had an affair with my teacher in High School. Never thought of it as being abuse...I actually thought I was one lucky kid. I can see why more of it doesn't get reported. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Let's recap...shall we? 1985 AFC Championship - Elway's drive tied the score at 20-20 with :31 seconds remaining in regulation. On Denver's first possession in overtime, Elway marched the Broncos 60 yards in nine plays and the game ended on Karlis' 33-yard field goal with 5:48 elapsed. Elway had delivered the American Football Conference championship to his Denver Broncos teammates with his brilliant generalship that created what will always be known as "The Drive." January 17, 1988, at Mile High Stadium...AFC Championship - Browns running back Earnest Byner took a handoff and appeared to be on his way to score the game-tying touchdown. But he was stripped of the ball by Broncos defensive back Jeremiah Castille, and fumbled at the 3-yard line. The Broncos recovered the ball, gave the Browns an intentional safety, and went on to win 38-33. January 4, 1981 American Football Conference playoff game against the Oakland Raiders. Trailing 14-12 with less than a minute remaining in the contest, the Browns had moved into position for a potential game-winning field goal. After Browns quarterback Brian Sipe called a time out, and conferred with head coach Sam Rutigliano, he chose to force a pass to tight end Ozzie Newsome. However, the pass was intercepted in the end zone by Raiders defensive back Mike Davis who had cut in front of Newsome's square in pass route, putting an end to the Browns season October 26, 1997 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida-In Game 7, Tribe second baseman Tony Fernandez opened the scoring with a two-run single in the third inning. The Marlins scored a run in the seventh, then one more in the ninth on Craig Counsell's sacrifice fly to force extra innings. And in the bottom of the eleventh, Florida won the World Series when Edgar Renteria's two-out single plated Counsell, who had reached base on a Fernandez error. 2007 NBA Finals - -One more time, the Cavs couldn't get it done in the area where they had a big edge heading into the series: on the boards. S.A. outrebounded CLE 45-42 in Game 4, and had an avg +3 edge on the glass for the series. Need I go on? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  11. Took my kids and their friends saturday night...Trail of Terror. My 12 yo daughter and her freind never even made it out of the waiting line to pay. They totally freaked when some guy in a costume came up to them. They ran away screaming and crying. At the time we thought it was funny (my 16yo son and his friend) but once we got inside there was a girl younger than my daughter who was really losing it. I felt bad for her...probably scarred for life or something. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

  16. But it looks like a black garbage bag. It looks like it really wants to blow out bad...and I wonder about the ramifications of having it decide to exit at 500 feet or so. I envisioned it fouling on the elevators...not a pretty thought. edited to add: I jumped the beech 18 at CSPC for years. It was rigged with a 4x8 sheet of plywood on hinges. On jump run it layed flat on the floor. Otherwise, it was held in the closed position with a 2x4. Not perfect, or pretty...but it beat those rides to altitude in the Caravan with the door off. 20. I think the folks who have a problem with this site are not understanding marketing. I've never seen an ad for a Hummer that says "You'll want to own this because it gets 9 mpg." They are simply stating that you'll be able to pursue these other areas and attempting to get the reader to see past the first jump. Maybe we ought to focus more on what a first-timer will eventually be able to do in all of the advertising. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
